My out of town family always make a special request for dinner at Left Coast Taco. Tonight we all…read moreassembled at a meet up point in East Aurora, and walked down to Left Coast Taco. One thing we don't talk enough about is that East Aurora is incredibly walkable. The intersection of Elm street and Oakwood is like NYC Times Square. The place is bustling. The parking is horrendous, and yet they all come. Before we set out on our journey, we spent a few minutes ordering online. It took our large group 10 minutes to walk down to Left Coast Taco, and our food was ready as we walked in the front door. There were plenty seats available outside in the sun on this very hot day, so we chose to walk back to our house two blocks away. The interior featured a very busy bar, as well as a few tables, all of which were filled with hungry patrons. By the time we got home to our pool-side cabanas, we were sufficiently starving and ready to consume all that we had bought. I had the birria taco on a crispy corn taco shell. Very flavorful with a tastydipping sauce. Very delicious, and I would definitely order that again. Let me just say the burritos were enormous. If you think, in terms of the size of a loaf of bread, that's how big this thing was. Everyone had a great time and we were certainly enjoyed the Left Coast Taco!

This is really more of a bar that sells food than a restaurant with a liquor license: The guac and chips had no garlic, onion, tomatoes or cilantro (great if you're on a date, I suppose?) and was served in a 2 oz refrigerated container. It felt like a Weight Watchers snack than a treat. The elote soup was thick with crema, and spiced with chili, but it was cool on arrival. At 11:30 when we arrived, there was only one other table; by 12:30 the place was packed. Lots of daily specials on the white board near the cash register. Private lot for parking.

Chips and salsa were brought over to our table. Started with margaritas, I always get the frozen lime one and it was very tasty. I got the taco combo, too busy talking to get a pic of that one. You pick either corn or flour shells then choose your filling. I had chicken, shrimp & mahi-mahi, served with rice, refried beans & corn pudding. Didn't finish my platter but everything I had was very good. I was surprised by how good the corn pudding was, almost like a creamy corn bread. Hannah was our very pleasant server. When our bill came it was a nice surprise to see we got Happy Hour prices on the margaritas.... $3 off and since it was taco Tuesday it was another $3 off the tacos. The restaurant is not really big inside but the tables and chairs are the heavy Mexican carved style. Glad we got there a little earlier, the wait was at an hour when we left.

If you like loud, obnoxious, party-bar atmosphere- then this is the place for you. If you don't,…read moreyou will probably NOT have a good time. I came here with some family who were visiting from out of town. We wanted somewhere that everyone could eat at since we have omnis, GFs, and vegans. Love that there were options for everyone. However, my partner and I ordered the guacamole azteca which came out with cheese clearly on it and mixed in. I asked the server immediately if it was cheese and he said no, they would never put cheese in it. I had my doubts but thought perhaps it could be finely minced garlic. So we started eating. About halfway through we hit a pocket of unmixed cheese and I stopped eating. Asked the server a second time who denied it was cheese. He claims he also asked in the kitchen and they assured him it wasn't cheese. Well, it was- I got sick that night. My vegan dinner was small- no rice or beans. Just two sad little enchiladas with very little filling. There was a pile of iceburg lettuce next to them with a small scoop of pico. But all in all, the meal is NOT worth the price. The vegan options were the same price or more than the meat options, but came out with half the food on the plate. I felt this meal deserved only 1 star, but the fact that there were vegan options on the menu bumped it up to 2 stars. I will not be going back, I would much rather eat elsewhere in a more quiet atmosphere where the servers and kitchen staff KNOW what they put dairy in.

My husband and I love sitting at the bar and watching the show of endless birthday singing, and patron sparklers with music. There is always music. You can't be in Margaritas and not smile at least once. The spirit in there is infectious. On this particular date, we got to catch some of the Sabres game, which was a treat and celebrate St. Patrick's weekend drinking margaritas. I got a flight, as always. I'm usually not a frozen marg girl, but when at Margaritas...plus on one flavor you always get a mini rubber duck and they are adorable and you can take it home with you. I like adding it to my collection in my Jeep. The standout marg was the watermelon. It wasn't too sweet. Prickly pear and dragon fruit were a little too sweet for me. Because I was hungry, but not hungry enough, I went with two side orders. I got a tostada and a taco. They were fine. My husband got a burrito and finished his meal. If you like a little excitement and party in your life, I highly recommend this place. Employees are friendly.

The have a salsa bar where you can go up and get sauces, and salsa. There was a guacamole salsa on the bar, which I've never had, and it was amazing! The guacamole itself also was very good. Flavorful and fresh.. All the food was made to order. Came to the table hot. All ingredients were very fresh, vibrant in color and flavorful! I went for the chicken fajitas, that came with beans, rice, little green salad, and guacamole and sour cream. Portions were nice size no need ask for extra. My chicken fajitas were delicious. Chicken was cooked perfectly, sizzled the whole time while at the table. Topped with peppers, onions and mushrooms. Normally not a big rice fan, but the rice was so good, I loved it! At first I was like 24 bucks for fatijas seemed little high, but after coming to the table, felt portion to price was good. Others at the table had the chicken chimichurri and a chicken burrito and they both enjoyed as well. Not in my neighborhood but I'd drive to Lancaster again to eat here.

The owner stopped by the table and conversed a few other times he was walking by. Their complimentary chips and salsa are heavenly. The chips have a southwest seasoning of sorts, and the salsa is not your typical salsa... but a few bars above. We also ordered queso. It was TO DIE FOR. I need to go back already for more chips and dip. My fiancé ordered the tacos... his three were carne asada, adobo grilled shrimp, and the pork belly. He struggled to pick a favorite. He loved the sauce on the pork belly, and decided the carne asada was his favorite. I went with the shrimp fajitas. Very good sized meal. The shrimp were delicious. The Mexican rice was a bit different than usual Mexican rice... seemed more like a blend of other grains, and instead of your typical refried beans, they were just straight up pinto. LOTS of food. It looked like there were only about 3 tables seated at the time and a few people at the bar. The restaurant has a cool vibe with bright colors and a VW bus in the middle that you can sit in! So neat! We chose to sit outside on the patio, which was a nice option to have. Once seated we were brought our menus and shortly there after complimentary chips and salsa. We each ordered a drink, one was a non-alcoholic grapefruit jalapeno refresher and the other was an alcoholic watermelon basil margarita. The NA one unfortunately didn't have any heat or flavor at all of the jalapeno in the actual drink, but it was ok. My friend enjoyed his watermelon drink, but only had one because it was a bit sweet. We ordered the Pozole Rojo, shrimp taco trio and shrimp fajitas. The Pozole Rojo was great and definitely my favorite part of the meal. It had a lot of pork in it and I enjoy the hominy corn, which you don't see on many menus. My friend really enjoyed the shrimp as did I; it was very well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The beans that came with the fajita were quite bland, which was disappointing. All in all, I would give them another shot.
