Without question the worst-run Chipotle in history. The manager should quit the industry. For dinner last night they had 3 people on the line. I arrived at 5:30 and didn't leave with food until 6:10. I could have had a sit-down meal at a real restaurant in that amount of time. They kept taking 2 web orders for every party in line. Seems it's always something with this place. And it's not the staff's fault. The employees are working as hard as they can, they seem miserable. It's palpable. After my son and I were able to get our food before a free movie. We both ordered the Barbacoa. I alternate between this and the Carnitas. Both got the rice and cheese (extra cheese!). I had all the salsas and also ended up with sour cream on it (I didn't think of it as a salsa, so it was too late when I noticed the guy putting it on the burrito). Per usual, the food was exactly as we expected. There was just one issue: No napkins. To me, if you're going to place someone's to-go order into a bag, throwing in some napkins should be what happens next before you close up the bag. We didn't stop anywhere else inside the shop, so we didn't think that we'd not have any napkins. You cannot eat a Chipotle burrito without at least six napkins per person, so. This seems to be a male dysfunction at several places from which I've taken food from the establishment. It is rare to not have a female give napkins with the food. Anyway, the food was MUCH better than the movie. At least for this not 13 year-old boy. My son loved both. read more

I've only been to Chipotle 3 times this year. I just stopped going to this location last year because it was always either closed, there was no chicken or chips or some other ingredient, one time there was a plumbing problem which kept them closed. Anyhow, today was a surprise! I arrived just before noon. The line moved quickly, the employees on the line were quick and efficient, the line appeared clean, and all of the ingredients seemed to be in place. I ate in the dining room and really enjoyed my lunch. The chips were just the way I like them, crispy with the right amount of salt. I noticed the tables looked clean and someone came to clean off a table next to me after the diner left. I read some recent reviews from people who had a totally different experience, sorry to say. This last summer our delivery orders were incorrect about 50% of the time - missing chips, wrong toppings, etc. It seemed to get better by fall/winter with incorrect toppings about 20% of the time. You can't call the store to get this corrected. You need to call a hotline and they refund your money. Pickup: Way too busy, too many people waiting around, and be prepared to wait for 45 mins+. At one point, I couldn't get my app to work so I went into the store and asked if I could place the order manually. They said no and the manager tried to help me with the app. He couldn't get it to work and that was it. Great, thanks. So why do I still eat there? I'm celiac and it's hard to find local and relatively healthy places to order safe food from. Just hope they get new management and staff better to reduce the errors and wait time. Ugh. read more

Though most are great, not all Chipotles are created equal. Case in point: one epically bad in San Jose (the Barbacoa was ridiculously watered-down) and this epically good one in Minneapolis could attest to vast disparities in quality. The CMG in Minneapolis was not only of the best I have been to, it was tremendously helpful in a successful weekend of competition. The food quality was great, but what set it apart was its service. After landing in Minneapolis on a Friday night, my dining companion and I went there for a satisfying dinner of Chicken Faijita Burrito Bol, Barbacoa Fajita Burrito Bol, and guacamole. On a Friday night following competition, we came in famished and definitely needed the Barbacoa Fajita Burrito Bol to assuage our hunger. Unfortunately, they had just run out and would not be able to make another batch before the close. The manager kindly offered the extra meat on two orders of the Steak Bols without any extra charge. Previously, we had stuck with the Barbacoa because the Steaks we had were quite fibery. Not so here; they were firm and lean but gristle-free and quite a pleasant alternative! The next day, we returned following mid-day competition for some Barbacoa. The manager noticed us and he provided us one Barbacoa Bol with extra meat on the house! The food was perfectly refreshing, balanced nutritious and hearty post competition/pre-night performance meal! Going above and beyond what we would even expect at the fanciest of gourmet restaurants, the manager at this CMG helped to make such an endearing first impression of our trip to Minnesota. If/when I go back to Minnesota, we are sure to make a trip back here :) read more

The Edina location is absolutely ridiculously awful. You never know if they are actually open. Even if the doors are open, the staff may scold you for being there, because they are understaffed, and tell you they aren't ready yet. If they even bother to acknowledge your presence in the first place. You may order online, only to show up, and the doors are locked, the lights are off, and a hand-written sign has a phone number scribbled to call for refunds. The place is disgustingly dirty. Made a catering order for pick up at 4:45 last Saturday. They charged my credit card more than $120 and confirmed the order. When I got there Sat to pick up my order (25 people waiting at my house to eat Chipotle), there was a sign on the door that said "closed Sat and Sunday". I was never notified the store would be closed and catering order would not be filled. I tried to call the corporate numbers and they were of no help. I went to the store and was told "the manager is sitting in that black car over there". I went over to ask about getting a credit and she said "I can't go in the store, I have Ecoli and have to wait for a dr to clear me." SERIOUSLY?!?! I still have not received a credit for the order. I continue to call daily with no results - just a lot of excuses about "given it was over a $100 order it has to go to another dept for approval. We'll contact you once they approve it." I travel weekly, so I frequent different Chipotle's regularly. This one is by far the WORST one I have ever been in and hopefully the worst one I'll ever be in. I was appalled at the rude, and disrespectful employees. I love Chipotle, so I'll go to the one in Bloomington where the employees are extremely friendly, even if it's 18 mins away, vs. this place that is only 3 mins from my hotel. This is the worst chipotle location I've been too in the entire west metro. The place is dirty as heck, the cook was sweeping the floor in front of the grill while food was cooking amongst the dust cloud she was making. This trip alone they were out of CO2 and ice in the pop machine, chips were stale, no change so you can't pay in cash, shitty wrapping job on the burritos, big deal to number my four burritos 1-4, most of the food was about out in each bin, no Tabasco out for dine in use, not a clean table to sit at, dirty restrooms, soap dispenser in men's room still not working after a week's time has gone by since I was here last. This is my first review of a place ever because this place is so disgusting!! Maybe time for an inspection by the state of Mn Health Dept. Every time I've been here it's always something else that's wrong or some excuse why they can't do their jobs. If I owned this place I would be embarrassed for sure. Never be back! read more
