    Margaritas- no sharing!

Time for a quick bite and oh yeah, a margarita! Love their take on Mexican and love their margaritas! One crazy daughter ordered a burger, but it had jalapeños so it counts!

Pajaritos has the best margaritas! The queso fundido and the quesabirras are my favorite things to order off the menu. Staff are always friendly. Great, easy parking in the nearby ramp.

Had such a great time here for happy hour! The tostada was my favorite -- so flavorful and fresh. We also ordered the chips with guac, salsa, and bean dip, and everything was so good. Honestly such a great value for the amount and quality of food. I love the 50th & France area, it's very cute. Already wanting to plan a trip back because there are so many more things I want to try!

We decided to check this place out during Winter Restaurant Week for lunch because everything sounded good and we love checking out new places. The food was delicious and we enjoyed everything we got. For the meal deal you were to chose a dip, a small plate and then tacos. We each got different things for our dips so that we could try 3 different things; salsa trio, guacamole with house made chips and sikil p'ak with grilled gorditas. For the small plates we got the brussel sprouts and queso fundido. The Brussels were delicious and some of the best I have ever had. We then ended with the last entrees and my mom and I got the shrimp tacos and my sister got the potato taquitos. It was all delicious and we even got some mocktails to wash it all down with and those were also tasty. It's very cozy inside with tables near the windows plus booths in the back of the restaurant plus half booth/half chairs where we sat and it was vey nice. I would say the service was pretty good, he didn't come by for a while to check on us so good thing we really didn't need much. We did have to ask for takeout boxes but we didn't have to wait too long for them. I want to go back and visit for happy hour since they have items on there that they don't have on the regular menu.

I came here on a last minute Monday visit when I was randomly in the neighborhood and had a craving for Tacos. I'm super happy that I found this place now. We stuck to the happy hour menu and got the quesadillas, chicken wings, and nachos. We also got the habanero margaritas. The best item was the nachos which had a perfect ratio of tasting toppings and chips. The quesadillas were quite tasty as well. Highly recommend both. The wings had good flavor but the actual wings themselves were a bit lacking in meat so could have been better. The margaritas were by far the spiciest I have ever had! Which my wife and I both liked. But half way through we took out the pice of habanero and that tamed things down quite a bit. But if you like spice go for them! We had great service for a Monday afternoon. And we enjoyed the patio out front right on 50th. They also have a back patio that looks perfect for a summer evening.

This is an amazing place to get drinks and dessert before seeing a movie across at the Edina Theater! Full bar and good food on top of the awesome friendly service! (Props to Rosa, our awesome server!). It's a great place for a casual get together or if flying solo, just get a seat at the bar. Worth a try if you're in the 50th and France area!

    Papa A La Huancaína Empanadas

Always one of my favorite places to have relatively upscale Mexican food, and on Valentine's Day, they even had a few additional items to order, so my partner and I tried 2 out of the 3 dishes offered that day and both were incredible. I tried a few different types of tacos from what I would usually order and they tasted very good. Previously I have tried the birria tacos, and I loved them. I believe that I talked about it when I wrote my review for the Saint Paul location. The alambre tacos had a good balance of crispiness and softness in terms of texture due to the cheese (crispy), and had beef and bacon included, which essentially made them a meat lover's heaven. The shrimp tacos were just as good as how I remembered it, that the honey-chipotle aioli worked magically well with crispy fried shrimp. I also tried the Valentine's Day item called Papa A La Huancaína Empanadas, and the red chimichurri sauce on the top gave the empanadas additional savory flavor that went very well with the mixture inside. I also ordered the octopus this time, which honestly was a catch for $20 because lime aioli, white beans, and peanut salsa macha are three ingredients I wouldn't have thought of to be added with the octopus, but worked so well to provide four distinct kinds of flavors and textures. The entire culinary experience with this dish was just amazing. I didn't have as much of an impression on the shrimp ceviche, but the fact that it existed at all, I appreciated it, because it provided a contrast from the other dishes in terms of taste, warmth, and overall vibe. The chimichanga dulce was essentially a strawberry cheesecake in rolled format which was innovative and tasty. Turning a crepe looking item into a filling sweet dessert was something I fully supported. The key lime cheesecake was great in a conventional manner, with the brown butter graham cracker adding both extra flavor and texture on the top rather than the bottom of the cheesecake. For $9 each, they were easily worth trying and enjoying. I thoroughly enjoy the fact that this establishment continues to thrive within Edina (and Saint Paul) and I think it does a very good job providing high quality food for a relatively reasonable price. Coming here on Valentine's Day was a blessing because this spot wasn't even fully booked when I looked up places to reserve, and yet it was an amazing time and experience for my partner and me.

I'm not big on upscale Mexican spots because I like to stick to the authentic, but we came here and it was decent. The crab ceviche was good, comes in a hard taco presentation. The wood fire octopus was good enough, not enough octopus to sauce and toppings ratio. The star of the show was sweet potato small plate, absolutely delicious I wish I didn't have to share it! Our server was nice and attentive.

What Mexican restaurant doesn't have beans as a dip

Discoriging menu, not real authentic, it's, sorry to say but some what plan, I'm sure that the cook was not very on the seasoning but then again I'm a flavor lover

Visited 5/7/24. Just barely missed the happy hour by a few minutes aka the amazing nacho deal but the quesadilla was still great too. Loved the salsa/sauce that it came with. Only bummer is that nachos are only on the happy hour so if you miss them no chance of re-ordering these. Otherwise, loved the different margarita and drink options. Service was solid and we enjoyed the patio seating options.

Went here on a Saturday afternoon for late lunch. The guacamole was the star of the show. Tasty margaritas. We tried several different tacos and it was nice to mix and match. Parking is available in several different lots within a short walk. Definitely leave time for strolling and window shopping around this fun city spot!

For appetizers, we ordered the chips and three salsas (Ancho-Guajillo, Avocado-Serrano, Arbol-Cashew) along with the guacamole which was a must! The thick cut, crunch of the chips paired well with each of the salsas along with the guac. We also ordered the shrimp tacos and quesabirria which comes with two tacos per order. Both sets of tacos were absolutely delicious! The shrimp tacos were nice and light, while the quesabirria was rich in flavor. We were able to get seated right away, and the food came out in a timely manner. There are also options for both indoor and outdoor seating.

Pajarito never disappoints. Has been a bit since I was here last and it was during the winter. We enjoyed the patio on a beautiful summer night. The Habanero Cilantro margarita was made to my heat preference, delicious! We shared the guacamole and chips and a trio of sauces to kick off our meal. I love a hearty salty chip! Then we shared the shrimp and quesabirria tacos which was a good mix. Two of the quesabirria tacos would have been too rich for one person. Both were made perfectly and came out piping hot! The service is friendly and helpful, as we asked our questions to zero in on our order. We were asked multiple times how we were doing and if everything was all right with our food. Will be back more quickly next time! Highly recommend if you are in the 50th/France Ave area.

I started with their signature cocktail, the Naked Dani. It comes topped with a salty foam and a little rubber duck, which makes it a fun and memorable drink. For food, we ordered a variety of dishes to share. We started with the Crispy Masa Chips, and honestly, I would probably skip those next time. The portion was pretty small, they were a little awkward to eat, and they just didn't stand out flavor-wise. The Cucumber Watermelon Salad, on the other hand, was amazing. It was light and refreshing, making it the perfect addition to the meal. The roasted sweet potatoes were another favorite--they had so much flavor and were cooked perfectly. We also ordered the Corn Elote Chipotle, which was absolutely delicious. I could have easily eaten the whole bowl myself. For tacos, we tried the Pork Carnitas, and they were fantastic. If you're dining with a larger group, you can even order a larger portion so everyone gets one. Our favorite dish of the night, though, was the Zubuton Asada. It only comes with one skewer and is definitely one of the pricier menu items, but it was worth it. The steak was cooked perfectly, incredibly flavorful, and easily the standout of the meal. We also tried the Chicken Thigh Pincho. It had a nice flavor but was spicier than I expected, so it's probably the one dish I would pass on during my next visit. Overall, we had such a fun dining experience. It's definitely more of a special occasion spot than somewhere I'd visit regularly because of the price, but everything from the atmosphere to most of the food made it feel well worth the splurge.

I'm fancy, so I wanted something a bit more upscale. I did a little bit of research and wouldn't you know it... Colita came up. So here's how it went! Atmosphere/Appearance: Set south of downtown and a bit west of The Mall of America on Penn Avenue is this gem. There is no private parking lot, but plenty of street parking to leave your fly ride. But once you walk up to the restaurant you can immediately understand the message they're trying to send. Everything looks so modern, straightforward with straight lines, grey colors and light woods. There is a small outdoor section where you can dine if you get lucky enough to land a spot there. Inside carries a very similar style with a little nod to the pueblos and architecture of the southwest. The decor is minimalistic and the "loudest" thing in the room is the live plant wall seated directly behind the bar, which was super cool. Service: I can't remember who took care of us, but we had no issues whatsoever. Food/Drink: I was able to try so many different dishes and drinks here and the list is below... : Xochitl In Love : La Clandestina : Tuna Tostada : Chicken Tinga Tostada : Seared Scallops : Tlayuda : Colita Old Fashioned : Lamb Barbacoa Tacos : Duck Tamal However, my favorite things were the Lamb Barbacoa Tacos, Duck Tamal and Seared Scallops, in that order. The food here is phenomenal, the drinks are excellently crafted and things are served tapas style so you don't get too full off of just one thing! Order a whole bunch of stuff and share with the table! Value: As I mentioned earlier, I wanted upscale and the priced dddooo reflect that. Lol. This is a nice place so be prepared to spend... Like you're downtown somewhere. In conclusion, I loved this place and I will come back over and over. Check this place out the next time you're in the area!

I love a good California burrito and asada fries, so this style has its place (especially in Minnesota). Service can be slow. It took us about an hour to get two burritos yesterday and the restaurant didn't look busy. Maybe they were just short staffed. My main issue is the salsa. They limit you to one packet per person, and it's not the slightest bit spicy. And where are the limes? This place desperately needs a salsa bar with real options and some heat. Bump up the salsa selection and stop rationing it, and this would be a solid spot. For now, I'll keep getting this to go and buying my own salsa and limes.
