Unfortunately, the quality of the food has deteriorated specifically with respect to testing the chicken for toughness. Further supervisory quality control is advised. I like I had to beg the food server to ration some extra food to reach parity with other Chipotle locations. It seemed un-North American to have to beg for my bowl to be filled. The servers need to visit other more generous Chipotle locations. The parking is inconvenient and unclear how to access from the main roadway. Traffic could be enhanced at this restaurant with more QA and better signage on how to park in the back. read more

My burrito was delicious, as always! Every time, I order the vegetarian one with rice, cheese, beans, sour cream, and free guac. This particular Chipotle made my burrito with so much stuff packed into it that I was full for MANY hours afterwards. Also, the person making my burrito mixed around the rice, cheese and beans so that it's evenly distributed, just the way I love it. Even though the Gaithersburg Chipotle allowed my wife to pay $3 for her burrito bowl on Halloween (we decided to have another burrito bowl in Gtown), the Chipotle here demanded that she wear a costume or pay full price. The Gaithersburg Chipotle didn't make my wife wear a costume. I come here at least once a month, but I will no longer come here. I have eaten at a lot of Chipotle's in my time so I feel quite confident in my review. My Dad had never been to a Chipotle until today. I think I've converted him. I suggested he try the barbacoa. He really liked it especially since it had a little kick to it. I had my usual steak bowl. The steak was seasoned just right. When we first arrived the line was very long. I assured my Dad that the line moves very quickly. We waited less than 5 minutes to place our order. Really the only downside is that there were a lot of people there with kids and they were holding tables while waiting to order food. This did take away the supply of available tables. The service was fast,, the employees were very nice and the restaurant was clean. This visit was A-. Not bad for a new store still working out the kinks. As far as other reviews complaining about the step out front this is part of the design of the shopping area, not a flaw of Chipotle. Maybe someone at Chipotle will recognize this is a danger and mark it somehow so people don't trip on it. read more

All I needed was extra tinfoil around it, nobody told the woman behind the counter to transfer my contents from one tortilla into another, when it was re-rolled (again, nobody asked her to do that) it came out smaller than the original. Ran out of chicken an hour and a half before closing - and refuse to make more. Your only choice is steak - take it or leave it. No other meat choice. When the entire staff is under 21 years old - there is no adult supervision to see that the "restaurant" runs something like a business. The staff is furiously cleaning the place though. It seems that they don't want to cook anything more (an hour and a half before closing) to lessen their cleanup work. Why dirty a cleaned grill just for customers? I guess they paid the same if people walk away without their meal - or with one. If you are a teen - it seems a simple choice. At least the young staff can leave immediately upon closing. ***UPDATE TO MY REVIEW BELOW*** I shared my frustration with Chipotle corporate and literally within 5 minutes, received an email from an agent (Maddie) profusely apologizing. She said it was unacceptable, said she would be contacting the store manager directly to ensure this doesn't happen again, and is sending me coupons to make up for it. I'm changing my 2 star review to 4 stars because the way that was handled, was hands down the best customer experience I have EVER had. Today I ordered 2 burrito bowls through DoorDash and was pretty disappointed to see both bowls were only 1/3 of the way full (even with lettuce). I added guac to both so with tip, it was $27+. You should have provided the same portion sizes that you do in store. Don't skimp me because someone from another company is delivering it and you don't have to see me face to face. I wouldn't have an issue paying that if what you provided was sufficient enough for even 1 meal (usually I have leftovers for a second meal).... however, now I'm still hungry and am embarrassed that my co-worker probably thinks I ate half his meal too :( read more

Its a pain to park ( no parking in DC i understand, but germantown?) and there never seem to be enough tables but I guess i understand that because of how crowded it always is. I have been to many Chortle restaurants. Love the chain. I've been to this one several times because I love the food and it's close. However, the service here is beyond bad. They have 2 registers but I've never seen both in operation. Even on the busiest day. So there is always a huge line for no real reason. They also run out of ingredients often. I placed a delivery order through GrubHub. The order arrived completely inaccurate. I received 2 burritos with no queso, despite ordering 1 burrito, 1 burrito bowl, and 1 large chips and queso. When I looked inside the burritos the toppings were also incorrect. I called the store to let them know and asked if they would send me the correct order. I was initially placed on hold for 8 minutes after being told "it's busy, can you wait for the manager?" I hung up and called back, waited an additional 4-5 minutes when "a manager" answered. After speaking with her for literally 6 minutes she was still asking me how to spell my name to look up my order. My name is Nicole and told her it would be under either Nicole or Nikki. She asked me almost 10 times to clarify the spelling and each time I spelled it she repeated it back incorrectly. She told me she could not locate my order and asked if I called the correct location. I became extremely frustrated and hung up the phone. I am not even sure if I was speaking to the manager. If it was the manager, she was not at all concerned about customer service or satisfaction which is so disappointing. I have had issues with this Chipotle in the past but I continued to use them because they are the closest to my home. I am a longtime Chipotle member but the service and food that i received from this location was absolutely horrendous and repulsive. They got mad because I didn't place my big order online, they rushed me and made every single item wrong and purposely made my whole order so spicy to the point where everyone didn't even eat their food, also they didn't label the any of the food I ordered each were customized differently. On top of that they thought I didn't speak Spanish and took the chance to talk badly about me and how I should've ordered online especially the girl who kept rolling her eyes at me but I took them by surprise when I ordered the rest of my food in Spanish. I didn't say anything at the moment because I was so overwhelmed and needed to leave before I made a scene, but management needs to know what kind of employees they have and how they are treating their customers especially the four ladies that were making my food had the biggest scowls on their faces. I like Chipotle but I don't like cutting corners. Had a dinner date with hubs tonight, and ordered takeout Chipotle for tween. Wanted to get her a side of guac. The entire top surface was brown. Not beige, not paper bag colored, but a deep brown. This is indicative of guac that has sat out too long. Makes me wonder if the food cooling station is off??? Well, I asked if they had fresh guac available, and she proceeds to say no and that the guac is made early in the day. But!!! While she is telling me this, she is stirring the top brown layer into the green guac underneath. It was very gross and disgusting. Makes me wonder if some poor, innocent guac lover thought it was fresh as the creepy dark brown top layer was blended in by her vigorous stirring. This is food poisoning just waiting to happen!
