Of course, as with any great Mexican restaurant, you are greeted with delicious chips and salsa shortly after being seated - pure Mex has some of the best!! They'll refill at your request! We have honestly loved everything we've tried from Pure Mex, and that is much of their menu, but some of our favs are the queso fundido, the Anaheim tacos, the fish tacos, Choripollo, and Arroz con with whichever protein you love most, or a combo of them all!! :) And of course, the MARGARITAS!!! So fresh and so good, every single time! The service at Pure Mex is always friendly and usually very fast!! The atmosphere is clean, open, and feels trendy! The menu is extensive with everything you can imagine and then some. The signature items are exceptional. We began with draft Modelo. Icy cold!! We ordered jalapeño poppers to start - spicy and delicious. Two of us shared chicken fajitas which were huge, moist and flavorful. There were lots of condiments provided. Yum! The chicken enchiladas dinner was devoured quickly! The highlight was a signature pork dish with fried plantains! Amazing! It came with tortillas avacado and rice and beans. I've never seen anything like it on a menu before. I told the manager that this is the best Mexican restaurant I've ever eaten at!! We finished with churros and leche cake! Prices recently risen, sometimes they can get an order wrong, but mostly things taste good. We usually get take out but the other day I dined in and enjoyed a burrito and a horchata. Los Ranchos has become our favorite Mexican restaurant in the area, it's been our "go to" spot for the last year or two. The food is great and the margaritas are fantastic! The only "bad" thing is that they no longer have my favorite item on the menu - "queso fundido" :-( The quesabirria tacos are a favorite, as well as the tamales. We've never had a bad meal here. However the GM at the location continued to take orders until the restaurant was filled with customers waiting to pay for their meals. After an hour of waiting me and my wife opted to just go to different restaurant for food when one manager said it was okay to take the food since the wait time was ridiculous that when the GM stated if we was to get the food free everyone in line would have to as well so just threw the food in the trash. Now I'm no genius but throwing the food away is the exact same as giving it to the customers who were waiting 1 hour in line because of downed systems. Why not do what right for the customers who had ordered already and the food was already prepared not the customer fault you kept taking the orders when the systems was down. Never had this experience with QDOBA before maybe there needs manager training on how to deal with customers in this situation for that GM.
