We order take out from this location every Friday night. It's my one night off a week from cooking. The past three orders the quality and quantity has diminished. It was so bad last night that I ended up having to cook dinner, because a couple dishes were so inedible. The other two dishes the quantity was ridiculously small, even though I ordered extra rice and cheese. The rice was so over salted on my daughter's burrito she couldn't eat it. Unfortunately, we won't be eating at this location again. The past three orders have been inedible. The staff was nice, but when I questioned the extra rice portion that was clearly not even a single rice serving, the employee got frustrated with me for even asking. I've been to this location a few times. The first time, the food was good, but the portion size was small. The second time, the food and portion size was great. This last time, however, the portion size was an absolute joke. Chipotle used to give such giant portions, but in the last several years, they have gone downhill with this, but never, have I received so little in my bowl. The bottom of my bowl was barely even 2/3 filled, and every layer after that, was just the same. The end result looked as if all of my food had shifted forward or as if someone had already started eating my food, but no, it was because the staff member decided that I didn't need to eat, especially being pregnant! Went here yesterday and ordered out for dinner. Staff is friendly, food looks good on display line. Rice, beans, grilled veges, grilled chicken, chopped lettuce, shredded cheeses, grilled steak, guacamole , sour cream, etc. We ordered a chicken burrito and a Carne asada salad. I added guacamole and queso blanco sauce to my order and my dining mate added guacamole to his chicken burrito. The quacomole and quest blanco were additional charges. The quacomole was very tasty. My steak was tough and chewy and some pieces seemed dried out. All the other veges and cheese tasty However, I would not order a carne asada again. The burrito was tasty and my dining mate enjoyed it. It was large enough for two meals. Our dinner order came $30 with tax. Chips sold in bags, as well as cold bottled beverages. This is my 2nd attempt at 2 different locations of trying to order a brisket bowl. This location had a pan of hard and crusty brisket pieces left on the line. My brain says to give this a 2-star rating, but my forgiving heart pushes me to give it a 3-star rating, mostly because they just opened and it is not fair to bash a business that is just starting up. However, there are areas that need to be addressed. Being fast food is OK, and it was very crowded when we visited. The serving line dishes out the meals that you wanted. Be careful, as it is a la carte and the extras add up. You finish the gauntlet, pay the cashier and take a seat. There are high tables with stools. One booth exists. The seating is uncomfortable, but if it is fast food they don't want you hanging around taking up space. You will get to eat with a lot of strangers. Forget dining with your group. Where are the eating utensils, napkins, etc.? Well, around the corner. Climb down and help yourself. I did not realize that you could buy soda fountain beverages in this self-serve area that I did not know about, so did buy from the limited bottled beverages just shy of the cashier. It is expensive. This is not a fast food that is low priced. Our lunch bill was $32.95, very high for us, especially when we consider the quality of the meal. Wife, wisely, had steak tacos ($10.55). Beware that there is one server who casually asked if you would "like queso" with that? A yes from you gets a large serving spoon of white sauce ladled on to your meal for $1.70. No thanks from me, wife did not like her tacos sogged with this white stuff. I had a carne asada bowl, but wish that I had gone for the more moist carnitas, or something else. The roast beef was barely cooked, did not have the opportunity to soak a bit in some form of liquid, so was tough, hard to bite, let alone chew and then kept falling off or my plastic fork. Should have used a spoon. I had guacamole, a bigger spoon-worth dumped on top of my bowl for $2.70. It was good guac, but my pile of tough meat, rice, beans, lettuce was not improved with the guac. My blackberry IZZE drink was $3.20. Management has a lot of work to do. read more

I went to this location at 11:45 am today (Lunch time on a Monday). I was totally disappointed. They had no pinto beans, carne asada or chips. The black beans were thick and looked warmed over. When I inquired they said the carne asada was cooked but they had no one to cut it. Needless to say since they didn't have what I had driven there for I left and found somewhere else to have lunch. Ugh...I agree with other reviewers on the last few reviews. If my hubby wasn't with me I would have walked out. Almost every container on the line was empty and/or crusty looking. And of course they had no fajita veggies. (Those were long gone- the container looked dried out and gross. Why does EVERY location not make fajita veggies??) The person "helping" us looked completely put out and was borderline rude- he clearly didn't want to be at work. We got 5 bowls and the way he thunked them down and asked what we wanted... Portions were small and food tasted barely acceptable. We ordered a bag of chips with our order...when we got home we noticed how few chips were actually in the bag- it had to have been less than 15 chips. Someone needs to be watching this store. I am never going back- and honestly most Chipotles are like this lately- so I don't know when the next time I would even choose ANY Chipotle location. read more

I usually go to Chipotle once a week in the Charlotte area and the service and food is always great. This Indian Land location is by far the worst Chipotle I have ever been too. The servers are terrible and the food appears to be sitting in the bins way too long and not up to the standard I have experienced in other locations. We waited 10 minutes to check out at the register with just one person in front of us. There is no organization and did not see a manager onsite to assist the employees. Chipotle Corporate should be ashamed! DO NOT EAT there, it will be a waste of your time and money. read more

I ordered a single burrito for pick up and wound up waiting 40 minutes to get my food. While I was there I saw about 4 customers come in and order in person. The whole point of ordering online is so that I don't have to wait as long to get my food when I arrive. What is the point of ordering online if it takes 5x longer than if I just ordered in store? Now I have wasted my entire lunch break to get a burrito that's half as good as other chipotle locations. This location is constantly messing up online orders. I ordered my meal through the app. I added extra rice, black beans, and grilled veggies. I ordered the carne asada (Blame it on the commercials I saw earlier in the day.) the portion was good. The carne asada was lemony which sipped into the rice and veggies. I had the corn and salsas as sides. No cheese, no lettuce, and no sour cream. My order was ready by the time I arrived at 5:08 (estimated pick up time was 5:10). The first piece of carne asada was chewy and tough. The meat wasn't as flavorful and flavored as I expected. I have been a fan of Chipotle for years. My entire family is. However, there are a few locations around Charlotte that fall well short of what I would consider a decent place to eat. I refuse to go to those, they are unkept all the time and their employees are very rude. With that being said, this location at 7680 Charlotte Hwy in Indian Land is AWESOME! I have yet to go to this location and not be extremely satisfied with the cleanliness, professionalism and taste of the food here. I highly recommend if you are a fan of Chipotle. read more

I hate to give negative reviews but someone needs to pay attention to this store. I waited 10 minutes in line to order, I get to the counter and see that 90% of the products are scraping the bottom. I am not going to eat what's left on the very bottom of the serving bin and in this case almost every bin was void of appetizing product. I walked out! I went here to have a nice lunch with my friend. Unfortunately I was met with such a horrible experience that I genuinely thought about quitting Chipotle all together. I first walked in and the guy helping us seemed nice and friendly. I asked for a simple burrito, gave my preferences but was met with whole mess. The guy must've received no training whatsoever. I added the normal amount of food but when it came to the time for him to wrap it, i'm disgusted. I'm appalled to say that he not only fingered my burrito trying to close it, he also took five solid minutes to finish wrapping. My friend waiting to the side, his order not even taken yet, as the worker switched gloves multiple times while STILL wrapping my burrito. I have always been a huge fan of Chipotle but after this i'm too appalled to come back. I can say that I will never be going back to this location and will be taking a break from this chain of fast food for a while. The lady checking us out had an awful attitude as well. I went in there mid day, it was dead no customers and I ordered my bowl and asked for a side of chips and they told me they didn't have any.. okay cool I said I would wait on it. The person at the counter proceeded to tell me that "no one feel like making chips right now"? So I'm assuming they rather wait for their dinner rush to make half uncooked chips than make a batch now to prepare for it.
