The back corner bar is perfect for when you just want to have a drink and a lunch. No matter what time of day the servers are always extremely attentive and kind. Delicious food and great margaritas!!! We are visiting family and just drove by this place and gave it a try, what a great surprise!! Our margaritas were large and tasty and the food was just fabulous. The fresh chips and salsa were great start and we shared a fajita quesadilla with rice and beans that two of us couldn't finish! 11/26/24. Party of 11 arrived around 6:45pm to a madhouse. Thankfully, they had a record of our reservation, so we were seated quickly. We were given salsa (mild and spicy) and chips, while we placed our margarita orders. I tried to order a cosmo but the waiter and manager didn't know how to make one. They tried their best and gave me a martini, but it was just a vodka/cranberry. The table ordered 3 queso dips which were addicting. Various entrees were ordered but I chose the mixed fajitas. The portion was ample and it was very good. No complaints on the food. The service needs improvement. We had to ask multiple times for water, napkins, more margaritas, and chips. The delivery of the entrees were also staggered. The real shocker to me is that no employee knew how to make a cosmo despite having the ingredients. There might have been a language barrier issue, but still surprising nonetheless. read more

Tried to sit at the bar. As usual there was no bartender . Waited over 10 minutes and then went to the hostess and asked if they could get someone to wait on us. 10 minutes later, still no one came. Several servers came and got their drinks for their customers but not once did anyone ask us what we would like. I like their food but if they cannot afford a full time bartender, especially on a Saturday night, then why should we spend our money there to sit without service. Came here with a huge group the day before Thanksgiving (15 kids and adults total). They don't accept reservations, but we came early and they accommodated us well. Menu is huge and everything we all had was excellent. Great portions, flavor, and variety. The nachos were especially enjoyed. Some of us also enjoyed their $2 taco special. The absolute highlight of the night was when the robot cat delivered the food while playing music! We were all shocked and the kids enjoyed it especially. We had a slight mixup when we ordered the margarita pitcher, thinking we were ordering the special posted at the entrance, but turns out we needed to ask for the "margarita mix". Holy Guacamole this is a new spot that I overlooked for the past 3 years. I had the classic Mexican sandwich known as the Mexican Torta with a Long Island Iced Tea. The sandwich is a staple and I can see why. You select your choice of meat and It was filled with avocado slices, lettuce, refried beans, onions, tomatoes served on French bread. I wasn't expecting a full crowd yet this place was packed with families and friends. It was nice vibe with splashes of Mexican decor. What an awesome place. First off, I love the deco and vibe. Casual, with very attentive staff. The food is something else. Portions are generous, especially given that we stopped in for lunch. Chips were super thin and salsa was great. I love enchiladas, but they are often somewhat dry, lacking in sauce. The enchilada sauce was ample and quite delicious. We had planned to lunch at another spot, but it was closed. El Vallarta was close by and a very happy accident. We'll definitely be back. The food here is always good. On this visit I tried something new. The chicken Oscar. Wow, the sauce that accompanies the chicken is phenomenal. The chicken breast itself was a bit dry and bland, but the sauce took this dish from mediocre and I will never order again to delicious and I'll definitely order on my next visit. Now I am not a rice fan, but this cilantro rice was great. My 2 young children had the kids chicken tenders with fries. Nothing to write about. Your usual Mexican kids chicken and fries. Great place for take out! The service in house is mediocre but the food is great. Take away is absolutely the way to go here! The hot salsa is just right, and it's lovely that they provide both hot and mild with the chips. All the food my party ordered was tasty with great portion sizes. Unfortunately, it took an extended period of time after our food had arrived to get silverware, and we had to get up from the table and ask two separate workers before any was provided. Three words. Top shelf margarita! You HAVE to try one. We didn't know about this hidden jewel and started with sangria and mango margaritas. Both were good but the sangria didn't have a whole lot of flavor despite the abundance of fruit. Our awesome waitress, Asuzzana (I probably butchered the spelling), introduced us to what is now our favorite drink here! And drink prices are wonderful!!! I wasn't too hungry so I chose the nachos (regular ones) and added cilantro. They were very good and the portion size was amazing. The beef was chopped really fine and flavored well. Not sure what the cheese sauce on it was but it, too, had a great flavor. I did also add beans to mine. Gotta have beans, right. Our son thoroughly enjoyed his kids' burrito. With two sides, he was left stuffed from just a kids' meal. The atmosphere is fun and lively here. We were extremely surprised that our party of six was seated immediately at 7pm on a Friday night! First time here. Sat outside on patio. Excellent, prompt service. Ordered frozen margaritas which were garnished with cherries, oranges and limes. Great! They even had decorative straw caps on the straws. Tortillas and salsa brought out immediately (hot and mild). Ordered cheesesteak burrito and tacos. We ordered the white cheese dip, yummy with the taco chips that normally comes with 2 red salsas. Dinners: Fajita burrito, stuffed with chicken, rice, beans, vegetables with guacamole salad and sour cream, 2 Ranchero specials, one over rice another over black beans, we chose shrimp and chicken combo served with mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes with a nacho cheese sauce. Go somewhere else, I cannot recommend this place at all. We've lived in the area for two months (relocated from Southern CA where they have amazing Mexican food) and decided to try this place for my daughters 8th birthday tonight. Family of five, we ordered three kids meals (bean burrito, chicken fingers, mac and cheese) I ordered the quesadilla Mexicana with shredded beef and a bean and cheese burrito, the wife ordered the soup, and we ordered a couple jumbo margaritas. Our waiter must have been new, when I asked for a bean and cheese burrito he looked at me funny and had to go back to the kitchen to see if they could make it. A lady came out and asked about the bean and cheese burrito and I said "no sauce on top, just beans and cheese inside the tortilla" she said she could handle it. When the food arrived they gave me beans rolled inside a tortilla the size of an enchilada with some melted white cheese on top! Pathetic. The quesadilla Mexicana that was supposed to have shredded beef showed up full of ground beef and a tiny drop of cheese in the middle. When I asked our server where the shredded beef was he said it comes with ground beef...not what I ordered and hardly no cheese in a quesadilla. The kids meals were horrific, the mac and cheese was so dry it looked like it was leftover from a couple days ago. The chicken fingers were so small we had to order a couple extra quesadillas for two of our kids because they were so hungry. The sides my kids chose was a fruit cup, it was your standard store bought fruit cup with syrup in it. When the kids quesadillas arrived my daughter commented on the taste. I tried a bite and the cheese they used was white Kraft singles (American cheese slices). Who uses that crap in Mexican food! My wife said her soup was good and the margaritas were decent, other than that it was a waste of $80. Do yourself a favor, travel up the road to taco bell and save yourself a bunch of money. You will get the same quality and position size for a lot less money. To top it off, when the waiter brought my bill he charged us for three sodas, but the kids meal is supposed to include those. I'm not sure how this place has stayed in business, other than the fact there aren't too many Mexican food places around. We won't be back. read more

To start, it was a very long wait, 40 minutes. For a appetizer, I had chips and salsa, the salsa was amazing! When I was looking at what to get, the menus had finger prints all over, and it was very dirty. But for my meal I got empanadas, they were very good and moist.
