We were greeted immediately and served chips and salsa moments after sitting. The servers were all very nice and friendly. They have a typical Mexican restaurant menu with a few unique dishes. I ordered the Fajita Taco Salad Trio. The meat was seasoned well. The shell was wet because all of the wet ingredients on it but the sides were crispy. The veggies inside were delicious as well. My friend had the Arroz Con Pollo with Chicken, Steak, and Shrimp. He said that he enjoyed it as well. The environment is vibrant with traditional and eclectic Mexican Decor. The music is at a good level and they also have 3 televisions that were showing sports. Overall it was a good experience.

Restaurant sits in strip mall on corner. Pass it often and finally decided to stop in on a Friday around 6pm. There were a few people but not crowded- yet ~~Food: they have a lot of selections - many pages worth - they do have vegetarian options. I had verde chicken enchiladas, black beans and Mexican rice- chicken is shredded- nice flavor- verde sauce was tasty - Unsweet tea was good- that's rare - it tasted fresh. A big selection of margaritas in neat glasses ~~~Service: was excellent- we had Antonio- he was fun, made sure we had everything we needed - took care of my mom- was sweet to her which is one most important things. ~~~Ambiance: it was lively- there is noise - fun music - people talking-- friendly- The decor was fun!! ~~~The good:: food, service, decor ~~~The not so good - nothing unless you want quiet or want top shelf bourbon- most people come for beer or the margaritas-( hence the name ) but of course mom wanted Hendrix and Diet Coke -but we found her something else ~~~Extra info : plenty of parking - if turning left out of restaurant go behind restaurant and to traffic light - it can get difficult with traffic to get out. ~~~Go and enjoy - ask for Antonio

Margaritas is located in Fort Mil right off US 21. It is in the corner of a strip mall. The location is genius for people have spent hours in the DMV which is two businesses over. My visit was impromptu! The restaurant is bright and decorated festively. The bar area is a nice size and the bathrooms are clean. Customer service was extremely good. The prices are ok and align with the area. The food was fresh and delicious! I had chimichangas that were slightly overcooked nevertheless the taste was delicious. The drinks were superb to say the least. I definitely would come back here alone or with a group because the size of the restaurant is accommodating!

Decent Mexican food, but not sure about the portions. Came for lunch and strictly ordered off the lunch menu. The complimentary chips and salsa were crispy, but the salsa was bland. Then the portion size for everything was small. My kids quesadilla was a soft taco tortilla with cheese. It was extremely small, and she was still hungry after it. I did the birra and it was a small scoop inside the tortilla, with a lot of filler (peppers, stewed tomato, etc). There were at least 4 bites where it was just tortilla, and if it was my first foray into birra, I wouldn't understand the hype. We have been to other locations and have had other menu items that were good for adults...but overall have been disappointed by kids portions, and am adding birra to the list.

The ambience was your typical hole in the wall Mexican joint with the seemingly universally common menu. I've eaten at many of these over the years with a mix of experience, mostly middling to decent. I ordered the three‑enchilada plate (two cheese, one chicken), and the food was extremely bland. Nothing about the dish stood out in terms of flavor. The one bright spot of the visit was the service -- the staff checked on us regularly and were consistently polite. However, about two hours after eating, I began feeling very nauseous. That nausea lasted for several hours and was followed by bouts of extremely unpleasant "liquid elimination" well into the next morning. I am fully confident these symptoms were the direct result of this meal. I rarely leave one‑star reviews, but an experience that ends with a night of stomach misery absolutely warrants it. I will not be returning, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before dining here.

I love white runny queso and the queso here is like a goblet from the heavens it's that good. True Mexican cuisine with options that impress my family and friends everytime they try something new. The service this evening was so fast on a Friday night I was blown away. Chips were replaced without us asking. Multiple staff members attended to our drink needs. The owner goes around the restaurant every time I visit talking to those dining in and it's so sweet it brings a smile to my face. We also see the owner pitching in to get drinks and I think that similarly says a lot. Prices are very affordable and portions are impressive. I live up north for med school and dream of La Victoria when I'm up there. All I can say to all those eating here is wear pants that stretch and leave your jeans at home you'll thank me later. They had reggaeton playing, and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The vibe was casual and laid-back. We were brought warm chips and salsa right away, which was nice. Our waitress took our order, but she was pretty absent after that. It was hard to get more napkins and refills on our beer and soda. The fajitas for two were really good -- 5/5. The cilantro rice, though, was a 1/5. It was very dry and way too salty, which was disappointing. The elote (corn on the cob), which I was really excited about, was a 5/5. So good. One thing that also disappointed me was the guacamole. The menu says it's prepared tableside, which usually explains the higher price. However, that wasn't the case for us. It wasn't made at the table, so that was a little frustrating since it seemed like we were paying extra for that experience. Overall, the food was mostly great, but the customer service was lacking. It was frustrating because we could see people waiting, and we were ready to pay and leave to free up the table. It was just hard to get her attention for to-go boxes and the check, and it took a while before she came back. Maybe we'll try again at a slower time.

We set up our chairs then went inside to place our order. They have TWO lines. One just for beverages, beer, wine & spirits. Then a food line where you can get both. There was a young lady at the front of the line with a wireless device who took our order and money. Michelle got a Fort Millsner and I got a coke. The lady said: 'they will call your name for the drink order and we'll send you a text when the food comes out' After about 10 minutes, they called my name and ONLY the coke came out. We waited for another 5 minutes waiting for the beer to be called, we never got called. I went back up to the counter and explained what happened and they immediately poured a Fort Millsner. We waited another 20 minutes for our food to come out. I got the 3 salmon tacos and Michelle got the Greenway salad. She said it was 'OK'. The flour tortillas were very dry and there was very little salmon on them. Very little pico de gallo and not much avocado flavor, disappointed. All in all we missed about 40 minutes of the concert performance. VERY disappointed with the lack of service. You're not allowed to bring in outside food or beverage. They can do better. There are SO MANY other things to do in Fort Mill so I hope they can turn it around.
