The staff here are so rude. Always something wrong with my order: missing item, too little food or gave me a spoon for a salad.

My husband went to pick up a scheduled order this morning and the Chipotle workers did not acknowledge him because they were too busy socializing. He stood there for a while waiting. They saw him but did not say anything to him because they were too busy talking amongst themselves about non-work topics. The order got to him late and they did not apologize. We will not be going to this location again. Customer service is lacking here. read more

Ok... Chipotle have been one of my favorite restaurants during the college years. Though most of the ingredients remain the same, I noticed a major change with my recent visit. The burrito bowl is not the same size as it use to be. The place by my university gave so much more than this location here. The biggest difference is the amount given. Other than that, their ingredients and quality is quite the same. Flavor is expected. As I recollect the taste, dining experience and the staff... I can't find myself to award them 4 stars. Food does not have the elevated taste for the past 6 years. Staff were efficient at their job. Place is clean which is always important at food establishments. Overall, I would visit here again without much expectations. I like the concept of building your own meal by choosing your proteins and veggies as you follow your item to the cashier. All around, good place for a lunch. Watch for the lines however... it can be long during rush hours. read more

5 stars for customer service. I liked chipotle before today but now I love it. Some "Karen" stormed in today around 1245 complaining about a white chick not wearing a mask. I usually get a tofu bowl without rice, just beans and grilled vegetables with everything else. I guess omitting a scoop of rice makes a HUGE difference because the bowl is so small and flat and doesn't even fill the bowl. I have gotten the same order from other Chipotle locations and it usually does fill the bowl and is fluffed up with lettuce. The small scoops they seem to ration is just shameful. Additionally at times, I have ordered 2 kids meals that are quesadillas and when I got home the cheese wasn't melted at all. I had to throw it back on the pan to melt it down. That's what happens when the girls behind the counter keep talking instead of minding the food. It's odd how the staff keeps changing. No wonder the quality control is never consistent. And certain rude staff members that I have encountered makes you wonder how they got through the interview for the job. I only go here because its convenient but forget it. I get that chipotle is usually "stingy" with their meat and guac, however at this location I pay for a chicken bowl but get a veggie bowl! I literally had a couple Of pieces of chicken. My girlfriend and I mobile ordered two bowls from this chipotle asking for extra rice which neither of us received. Additionally I requested extra corn salsa which is my favorite part of the chipotle bowl and there was NONE on my bowl. I'm flabbergasted. I ordered a bowl, and the employee didn't even make an effort to give me a good amount. When I opened the lid to eat, the contents barely filled half of the bowl. I saw the other customers' orders and they definitely did not get their money's worth either. It was just this one employee that was at the beginning of the line, the one who starts your order off. This is the worst location I have gone too. As I was ordering my bowl, I asked for light spicy salsa . She poured a spoonful into my bowl. I said "I asked for light salsa." FOOD POISONED FROM FOOD HERE: DO NOT EAT! Someone from corporate called me right now to tell me the "Good News is that no one else has reported that they were sick from yesterday's food..." how is that good news when I'm saying my husband and I got sick from there... should we celebrate that no one else has called in yet?? The one had asked how quickly I felt sick, about ten minutes? Then later she said since I felt sick within ten minutes it's not a food borne illness from their restaurant. I clarified that she's the one that said ten minutes, not me, but she denied it. Those phone calls should be recorded since they are being incredibly shady. DO NOT EAT HERE! My husband went and picked us up two salads yesterday around 12: 30 PM and he told me it was crazy packed and chaotic there (servers ran out of fajitas, dropped meat into the beans, counters were messy). I got the carnitas salad with guacamole and he got the barbacoa salad and shortly after I started feeling HORRIBLE! (I have a weaker stomach than my husband so i feel the effects of food poisoning or GI related bugs a lot quicker and stronger than he does). We both ended up feeling so incredibly bad and that's the only thing we ate yesterday... we were sick for the rest of the evening & still feel it today! Plan on calling food inspection agency today so that they can check this place out! read more

I just picked up a bowl and a soft taco. I requested chicken and guacamole on both. I was shocked to see that the server literally put one teaspoon of guacamole on the soft taco and maybe a couple of teaspoons in the bowl. They charge additional money for guacamole and in all the years that I've been going to the Irvine location on Barranca, I've never been served such meager portions of chicken or guacamole. The chicken was totally dry too. V disappointed! When I pointed out the meager quantities of both to the server, wondering if he was new, he said he wasn't and that he's been yelled at for giving too much guacamole! He refused to add any more. If Chipotle is going to give out such meager portions, they shouldn't charge for the Guacamole. All told a very disappointing experience. I won't be going there again! read more

Went there today... The chicken was definitely overcooked, burnt and dry. They are also very stingy here with their portioning. If I'm paying $14 for a meal, I think you have some liberty not to be so stingy. Also surprising that they cannot cook their number one selling protein properly. Burnt meat is carcinogenic. Just found a piece of short hair in my bowl and I have long hair. I noticed the staff yell out to ask what the customers want and lean over the food but didn't notice any mouth guard or anyone wearing a hat to prevent hair from falling into the prepped food. read more

This Chipotle frequently has problems accepting gift cards. There have been several times where I have attempted to pay with a gift card and there is an excuse that the system is down which is surprising b/c this is a national chain like McDonald's or Subway which I have never experienced. The gift cards are sold to front load revenue and get cash from the customers, but one of the employees told me that they periodically put signs on the doors that the gift cards will not process in order to steal more money from the customers which is surprising. The plus side is if you are seeking mediocrity either in terms of food or employee customer service, this place is definitely highly recommended from that stand point. read more

I needed to order lunch for a bunch of people last minute and my first thought was Chipotle. Thankfully, I called and talked to AUSTIN who was terrific. I explained my dilemma and he gave me 2-3 options to consider given that I needed a great lunch for about 20 people in under 2 hours. His first suggestion "Burrito Boxes" was exactly what our stomachs ordered. Austin told me what options I could pick from and things I might also like to add to the order to make it a complete experience. I love Chipotle and go often to another location near my house. My co worker and I ordered bowls online as a pick up order at work. It was ready quickly and ready right when I walked in. I am glad I placed the order online because the line was out the door during lunch. My co worker and I both opened our bowls back at work and both immediately thought that they jipped us. The bowls are a lot smaller and have less ingredients on them when you order them to go versus ordering them there and having them prepare it in front of you. They also forgot to put tomato salsa on my co workers even though it was clearly stated on the ticket tapped to the front of the bowl. If you have time, have them make it there so you make sure you get the proper amount of meat/toppings and they make it correctly. read more

As friendly as the young folks that work here usually are, they could really use some guidance. How can you be put of sour cream and green salsa. Doubtful its because of global supply chain issues. The grocery store next door is chock full of all the ingredients. Possibly because of poor planning...when there is an increasing pattern of simply not having basic ingredients available on any given day. Just had a bowl in here and they were out of the things above plus the rice and beans were either not fully cooked or had been in the bins since much earlier in the day they both had hard spots--crunchy. I've been coming here for eight years. The quality if the food is usually good but things are declining. Have never seen anyone past mid-twenties working which is fine if there is enough management experience on site to properly order ingredients to keep uo with demand. read more

Totally agree with all the posts that this is the worst Chipotle around. Badly run and staff never seems to know what they're doing. They are very light with portions. Also when you order carry out or delivery you never know quite what you're going to get. No quality control. Finally, a couple of times the chicken has not tasted fresh - like it had been reheated or pulled out of a freezer. Let me start by saying that i LOVE chipotle-- I do NOT love this specific. location. My husband and I have already complained to corporate about this location being so stingy with the portion, ridiculously stingy. Half the bowl is empty and I'm not sure why it's ONLY THIS LOCATION. We also complained that the employees dont pay attention to details. They got our entire Online order wrong-- mind you, we didn't do anything fancy or complicated. We simply asked for rice On the side and that simple little request resulted in all 3 of our meals being incorrect. I don't know what else to say. I hate this location. Every time we go (once every 2 weeks) it's always a struggle and pain to get our meals the way that other locations (spectrum, Newport ave and even the other Irvine Blvd location) do it. read more

Chipotle will always be chipotle but this location is great. I just stepped out of this chipotle on January 27th at 6:45PM from the best service I have ever had at a chipotle. The staff was friendly and was accommodating to some of my food requests. They were quick and were attentive with my order. I asked for some tortillas on the side and forgot about them. Then one of the guys at the cashier chased me down and gave them to me before I left. This will be my go to chipotle from now on! read more

I waited a long time in a line with only 3 people. In the few minutes that it took for me to get to the front, most locations would have served 10 people. My server took his time putting the burrito tortilla on the warmer then proceed to take it off 2 seconds later. Yes, it was cold. Then he laid out a line of brown rice that wasn't even half a spoonful. Then made a line of beans less than that of the rice. He put maybe 8 small cube pieces of chicken on top of that. I asked if I could have some of the fajitas/ green peppers. He didn't respond. I said it louder and he proceeded to put exactly 2 green slices and 1 onion string. The next server put my pico de gallo. I said corn please as she started to scoop the sour cream. I yelled CORN CORN CORN! Thank god she stopped. I don't like sour cream. I asked for lettuce and she put maybe 6 small shreds of lettuce. Finally, the cashier proceeded to tell my total and I asked for chips and guacamole. She then said guacamole on the side twice. Took my credit card and bagged the food with the chips. I stood there just waiting. She then asked for guacamole again and checked the bag. Obviously it's not in there. I am so disappointed in the service and amount of food provided. Every time I go to Chipotle the burritos are bursting with food and the insides are spilling out with each bite. Normally, it requires two hands to eat. Today, it didn't even take 5 fingers to hold. I'm not sure if I got the kids meal version or not. It was so small like a snack. I understand that Chipotle needs to prove shareholder value and increase profits year over year, but this is a joke! None of the food items were scooped it was just picked out like little pieces of a puzzle. Nothing was amounted to a half of a scoop. The food was cold. The chips were stale and only filled 1/4 to 1/8 of the bag when normally it's 1/2 to 1/3 of a bag full. Please fix the quality and service of this location, because I will not be returning. read more
