This is one of the better locations food/ service wise. However, usually staff seem as though they don't want to be there. I.e. sighing heavily when you ask for something or they even ask you what you want on your order. Which is not very friendly customer service wise. Don't expect even average customer service here just okay service at best. If you don't like someone helping that you can tell has zero interest in being there at all I wouldn't recommend coming here. They will sigh multiple times, seem lost, act disinterested, and expect to repeat yourself multiple times as they typically aren't as attentive or even listening. Of all the locations service wise this one provides the best service in Jacksonville. Food wise at most it seems you get hard rice because it was out too long. The line is usually messy too as there will usually be food all over it. Doesn't seem like they care to even try to keep it clean. This is your standard Chipotle. No fancy bells and whistles. They get you what you need quick. The food is typically pretty fresh. The portions are typically average with the occasional generous server. For some reason when they bang their serving spoons to give u less then they scooped, just makes you cry a little on the inside. They are always accommodating of requests though (tortillas or other sides on the side). The service has been average at best with the occasional rude service which is what I expect from any fast food restaurant that isn't chick fil a. The parking is difficult out front but there is rear parking which helps. I have passed by this place SO many times and never gave it a 2nd thought until a visit from an old friend. She was super amp'd after realizing we had one down here; apparently it's the bee's knees in Norfolk, VA. After about 2 days of her reminiscing on past Chipotle based mouth journeys, I finally gave in and we went there for a late lunch. It's very easy to access on Blanding Blvd, plenty of parking (plus more space in the back if it's too crowded) and very clean inside. The dining area/order counter/kitchen are in one big room that is spacious enough so that customers aren't on top of each other but small enough to allow the great smells coming from the kitchen to release the Kraken in my belly as soon as I came through the door. The customer service was quick and friendly, the menu very short and basic. They make a point (both on their menu and on their website) of advertising how natural their ingredients are and how much time and care they put into their cooking. Bonus points! I kept it simple and got a chicken burrito with hot salsa and added guacamole and a grapefruit soda. I think it came out to be around $10; I was honestly a bit put off by that at first...I mean c'mon, 10 bucks for a burrito and a soda?! But the burrito definitely had some weight to it and the bottled soda was a generous size, so money well spent for the amount of food provided. The reason I only give Chipotle 3 stars is because of the lack of flavor. The staging was so convincing: mouthwatering smells from the kitchen, friendly staff, and large quantities of food with plenty of emphasis on how fresh and handmade everything is...then I bit into it. I'm no Mexican cuisine connoisseur, but with all the components they stuffed into that burrito, I expected Cinco de Mayo in my mouth...instead I got a backyard get-together with a couple of sparklers. The hottest salsa they offered barely gave a tingle, which was hugely disappointing because I absolutely love spicy any and everything. Even my friend, who is the world's biggest Chipotle fan, was a tad disappointed and claimed it had to have been this particular location. *shrug* Now, even with all that being said, I was able to finish it because it was indeed tasty...and $10 lol It just leaned more towards bland on the flavor meter then what was expected. I usually get the chicken tacos but I have tried their steak and barbacoa meats. The steak is not as well done as I would like and the barbacoa has a spice that's too much for me.
