I ordered online and when I opened my bowl the food doesn't even reach the rim of the bowl. It is about an inch below. I ordered double chicken and paid for it. There is less than one spoon full of chicken in my bowl. Also the restaurant is disgusting, the trash is over flowing while employees are just standing around like they can't see trash sitting in the ground next to the can because it is so full. On the app it asks for a tip which I did not include since this is not a sit down restaurant and tips are not expected. I believe that because I did not tip they chose to give me less then what I had paid for. This has happened before where I tipped a small amount (around a dollar fifty) and my bowl was barely filled with food. As a reminder most of these employees are making well over the hourly minimum wage for Tennessee almost double in some cases. read more

Went to Chipotle on Broadway. First off, place was dirty! Trash on the floor, mostly behind counter. Dirty front doors! No trash can on patio. Had to go inside to throw our trash away. They forgot the onions and peppers in both our bowls. They've definitely downsized portions of every ingredient. Used a BOGO, so it didn't hurt as much as paying full price. This is the closest Chipotle to my house. Parking can be a pain, as it's located in the UT / Fort Sanders area. I ordered two chicken burritos with the works, and also chips and salsa. When I asked for additional salsa, the employee or manager - I'm not sure which, gave me a very hard time about it, and refused to give me more than the two ounce plastic cup that Chipotle gives you. I just paid $16.00 for two burritos and you can't give me a little extra salsa? Very strange. Fortunately, after I paid one of the other employees - a very nice young lady, gave two extra salsas. This is a pretty solid Chipotle store. It's located in the heart of the downtown/UT area - so parking is near impossible. We will sometimes get lucky and find a spot in the bordering lot or on the street. Location is consistently busy, so expect a few minutes of a wait or little to no seating options. Once again I drive outta my way to enjoy the best burrito on the planet. I live 20 minutes away, but cannot resist driving at least once a week to Chipotle. The chicken, cilantro lime rice, fajita veggies, black beans, sour cream, guacamole and salsa decadence in a bowl last night was it for me. This is solely based on service. Tennessee chipotles employees are really cheap. Asked for just a little more chicken and got turned down. "Sorry I can't give you anymore. ***DO NOT ORDER FOOD FOR DELIVERY*** I can not stress this enough... Where to begin? I have been extremely disappointed in my experience with this Chipotle location recently. I have ordered twice from them now and both times my food was never delivered. I work at a fast paced clinic where I am not able to just take a break at any time I want so unfortunately I didn't eat today... The first time I ordered, a few months back, I went through their website. I was actually ordering food for myself and my boss and the total came to about $21. Naturally, we wanted to pay separately, but order on the same ticket so as to save the delivery guy and unnecessary trip. The online website does NOT allow you to split your tickets so I had to put hers on mine. To make matters worse, we waited for about an hour (with no contact to follow up) before we decided "ok, the food isn't coming." I called Chipotle and they said that I could come in to their store to eat for free to make up for the inconvenience. I never did because, if you work anywhere close to Cumberland, you know you don't want to get caught up in that mess. Plus, I want a refund!! The second time we ordered was also through the website. Again, I was inconvenienced because my coworker also wanted food but we could not combine tickets online so we ordered separate. My card ran fine, they asked for an address and phone # and I sat back willing to give this another try. What happened? Nothing. No call to my phone to inform of any problems, no follow ups, nothing. Frustrated to no end, I called Chipotle and spoke with Ashley and Blue and they were both very helpful and offered to have me compensated for my inconvenience. Still, I have to go INTO the store which is extremely frustrating seeing as this was all done online and should be able to be refunded straight to my card. I realize the third party delivery service might have something to do with why it can not be quickly refunded, but Chipotle seriously needs to start going through a different delivery service!! And for goodness sakes change your website! It's not user friendly and why in the world can't you split a check?? Chipotle now owes me about $32 (not including tax) for both orders that I did not receive!! Very, very unsatisfied. Different Chipolte's in Knoxville taste like completely different restaurants compared to this one on Cumberland. While I have had positive experiences at this location, I have had to start driving out of the way to different Chipolte locations that are not on Cumberland Ave. This was after several, several negative experiences primarily involving cold ingredients and to-go orders not being ready until upwards of 25 minutes after the promised time. This location very clearly is a college restaurant that is not interested in performing well, as it will undoubtedly get business regardless. This is not Taco Bell I'm always cautions when it comes to Mexican chain restaurants. Normally, when it comes to a first-class Mexican restaurant you rely on a fine mom and pop restaurant; the one that has developed a reputation of absolute goodness. But Chipotle's burritos are delicious. Granted, the way the burritos are made at Chipotle are by no means the types of burritos we Mexicans are accustomed to eating. Chipotle nonetheless, offers the non-native taste developer an American version of Mexican burritos. Correction, it offers the non-native a true representation of how Mexican ingredients could be developed into a bigger and meaner burrito. According to Chipotle they support local farmers and try to use meats from animals that have not been raised on antibiotics or added hormones. The vegetables are also home grow. Supporting local business is always a big plus! In short, the tortilla accompanied by your selection of several meats along with frijoles, rice, selection of salsas, queso, guacamole (better known as guac), crema agria, and lechuga, makes for one pound of heartiness. So if you're craving Mexican, and are not familiar with Mexican dishes then eating something more mainstream like Chipotles burritos, will not only fulfill that craving but will have you coming back for more. -Chida read more
