A Difficult Update After Many Visits of Loyalty As a former restaurant owner, I understand better than most how hard it is to run a consistent, allergy‑safe kitchen. I also know how devastating it feels when a place you've trusted gets it wrong. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened on my most recent visit. We had been loyal guests for quite some time, and our last few meals were genuinely excellent. I always follow the same routine: I fill out the allergy alert card, place it clearly with my dish, and trust the kitchen to take it seriously. This time, something went very wrong. Whether the card was overlooked or the line simply got careless, my plate arrived visibly cross‑contaminated with ingredients from the very category listed on my allergy card. I didn't catch it immediately. It wasn't until after the first bite--when my lips started tingling like they were on fire--that I looked down and saw the problem. That moment of realization is something you don't forget. The manager handled the situation with sincerity and apologized right away. They offered to remake the dish, which I appreciated, but it took another twenty minutes. By the time it arrived, my friends had already finished their meals, and I was left eating alone while feeling anxious about whether the replacement was truly safe. Once trust is shaken like that, it's hard to settle back in. I'm genuinely disappointed to be writing this. We used to love this place, and I know mistakes happen--but for guests with allergies, mistakes aren't small. They're frightening. Right now, I'm hesitant to return, and that's not something I say lightly. I hope they take this as an opportunity to tighten their allergy protocols, because the food has always been good. But safety has to come first.

We have been here several times and are thrilled to have a Mongolian grill in town. You are able to get in and out pretty quickly, dependent upon what you order. They have a full menu but are known for their grill items. If you choose to do the Mongolian grill, you will be given a small bowl that you pack with noodles, veggies, and spices of your choosing You build your own bowl and they essentially stir-fry your meat and veggie choices in the carb and sauces of your choice. At your table before heading up to the grill bar, you will choose white, brown, or fried rice for them to put at the bottom of your finished bowl. Note-if you want noodles, this is added by you in your uncooked bowl and takes up quite a bit of your space. Try to add these on the top, if there's not too much of a line. When there's no line, I like to put my proteins in the bowl first, lining the bottom with shrimp and making a wall around the sides with chicken and pork. I then load in all of my veggies and press them down as I go. If you want them to fry an egg, place it on your tray next to the bowl. I recommend 3-4 cups of sauces on the side for max flavor. I like Mongolian sauce, a mixture of teriyaki and general tso's, and a cup of chili oil and garlic mixture. I also sprinkle on top of my uncooked bowl: garlic salt, pepper, and onion powder, and a touch of fresh cilantro. We have also tried sushi, crab rangoons, and spring rolls. We would get only the spring rolls again. We do wish that they have a guide for sauce mixtures, as other Mongolian grills often have and I wish they offered noodles instead of rice as your carb base. Service is fast and efficient and the pricing is fair...especially because we always have leftovers, even with the smaller lunch bowl.

The name says it all, Yummy Bowl! Finally a good Mongolian place in Knox! You sit down but once you decide, the server gives you a bowl to take up the counter, then the fun begins. All the veggies, meat, and sauces you can think of to pile on. I wasn't as thrilled with the sushi, and had a simple California roll and spicy shrimp roll, but overall balanced along the gamut. Our server, Amber, was great too! Yummy is right!

Love the concept and great food. Once you figure out how to load your food in the bowl it all comes out wonderful. I skip the rice and load up on noodles and then the meats. Shrimp and chicken. Add some of your special items and then on the sample the sauces you like. Mongolian and dragon combined to make a good mix. Will be back in a regular basis here.

I decided to give this place a try after driving by several times. I decided to try both the sushi and the Mongolian BBQ. sushi was excellent quality, and while a bit more pricey than other places of similar quality, it was delicious. For the Mongolian BBQ, you are given a bowl that you are allowed to fill as much as you wat with meat, rice, noodles, and vegetables. as long as the ingredients fit in or on top of the bowl you are allowed to have it. lots of delicious sauces to choose from and you can taste them before selecting them. you give the small bowl to the staff after you fill it with everything and they cook it to order and deliver it to your table. it was absolutely delicious. great service by the server too. definitely will be back!

oh hello gorgeous bowl! this was so fun and there were so many options so id love to go back to make a new bowl. service was great and attentive.

One of our bowl creations - small amount of rice is under everything. Would recommend getting it on the side.

Staff was quick and responsive, the food bar was continuously refilled with lots of options. Restaurant could use more parking as it get busy quick. There could be better management if the line to get food as well. They do a good job keeping everything tidy and clean inside.

The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and I believe there's also a bar area. We were seated right away, which was a great start. Their menu has a little bit of everything, from appetizers and gumbo to customizable seafood boils with different seasoning and spice options. Before our meal, they brought out their cheesy crab bread, and unfortunately I didn't snap a picture because we all devoured it within minutes. It was that good! I ordered a half pound of crawfish, a half pound of snow crab legs, and a lobster tail with the Cajun seasoning, "Make It Hot." Everything was delicious! The snow crab legs were packed with flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the lobster tail--it was incredibly meaty, buttery, and cooked perfectly. The boil also came with sausage, corn, and potatoes, making it a hearty meal. I also have to give a shoutout to our server, Amanda. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. She checked on us often, cleared the table as we finished, and gave great recommendations when we had questions about the menu. If I ever find myself back in Tennessee, I'd definitely come back to Storming Crab!

I started off with a dozen New River Oysters, they were fresh and delicious, but the crackers they brought out were stale and some of them were already open, which may be why some were stale. I ordered the wasabi Tuna on rice and a baked potato and the spouse had the grilled salmon on rice with baked potato. My Tuna started out good as the first couple of bites were easily cut off the steak , but then there was a very big piece of white grisly tendon that run the entire length of the fish and it was impossible to cut with the butter knife that I was given. Then it got worse when the potato had a thumb sized black place once I started eating the potato. Needless to say I was not very happy with my Birthday meal, my wife's salmon was perfectly cooked and her potato was fine. Im sure that if I had complained about the meal, they would have cooked me another meal, but when you are spending 130 dollars on a great meal in a upscale restaurant you expect that the chef and staff have properly trimed the fish and inspected the potato for bad places and you could see the black spot on the outside as well as the inside. I can't say that I have had a bad meal at Chesapeakes before today, but it's doubtful that I will go back. Another thing in all of my Birthday meals there,I have always been given a complimentary dessert to take home in the past. As the meal portions ,plus the dozen Oysters that I always get is alot of food, but no offer from the waitress this time. Just didn't expect mediocre food from this place, especially when the prices are so expensive.

It was about 3:00 and the restaurant was on a 45 minute wait. We decided to sit at the bar and have an appetizer while we waited for our table. They were unusually busy because of college graduations. We had a shrimp appetizer which was recommended by the bartender. It was delicious! It had the right amount of spice for us. Our table was ready right as we finished our appetizer. The hostess was very polite and asked us if we were celebrating anything special.. We were promptly greeted by our server Elisabeth who was wonderful. She told us the specials and inquired if it was our first visit. We ordered the espresso rubbed ribeye w/ a baked potato & Caesar salad. We decided to share a steak and ordered an extra wedge salad. Everything was delicious. The steak was a perfect medium. The butter that is served with the bread is heavenly. I was thrilled with my Caesar salad that had anchovies on top. My wedge salad was amazing. This was one of the best steaks we have ever had. We would highly recommend the restaurant for lunch or dinner. 5 ask for Elisabeth if you want a wonderful dining experience!

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience was pretty disappointing. The service was inattentive from start to finish. Our drinks sat empty for long stretches, the bread was hard, and my steak wasn't cooked anywhere close to how I ordered it. What surprised me most was that our server never once came back to ask how the food was or if everything was okay, so there wasn't really an opportunity to have anything corrected. It also felt like a missed opportunity that no one even asked whether we were celebrating anything. We were there for my brother's college graduation, and while I wasn't expecting free desserts or a big production, most restaurants at this price point at least ask the question. It would've been a nice touch and made the experience feel a little more personal. For a bill that came to around $250, I expected a much higher level of service and food quality. I don't mind paying for a great meal and experience, but this just didn't deliver enough to justify the price. It was my first visit - my family's third time. We drove over an hour to get there.
