Let me start by saying I am the first person to get irritated by seeing fast food restaurants have higher star counts than the local establishments while traveling/seeking food options. It feels ridiculous, and I always assume that either the owner's network or a in store promotion were to blame for all the reviews/ high stars. All of that being said, I felt called to review this Chipotle, as dare I say it is the best Chipotle I have ever been to. From the moment you walk through the door, the experience is lovely. A staff are cheerful and helpful and seem to enjoy their jobs. (Lately no matter what Chipotle I go to it seems as though the staff is always overwhelmed and full of attitude, and I know that may sound harsh, but it has gotten so bad that I don't even want to go anymore!) The food quality and quantity here is just as pleasing as the staff. The rice is some of the fluffiest rice I have ever seen. It is perfectly cooked and is never dry or hard. The beans are perfect as are all the other toppings. I don't think I've ever seen fajita vegetables look so good! Everything seriously looks and tastes great, and It all feels incredibly fresh. And the portions... It's like stepping back in time. I've never once had to ask for any extra portion of anything, but the staff is so kind that I feel like if I did, it wouldn't be a problem. If you even remotely like Chipotle, you don't want to miss out on trying this location. It is a true gem! read more

This is one of the Chipotles that gives Chipotle these days a bad name. I remember back in the mid 2000s when everything was fresh, delicious and the portions were way too much! Now it's a shell of what it used to be. This place is worst than most. Super small portions, bad service, and the place is usually a mess. Avoid unless you have to have Chipotle and you're in Lake City. Otherwise steer clear. I would even recommend Moe's over this and I don't like Moe's. read more

This was a clean Chipoltle that was run pretty well. Service with a smile, and the employees had great attitudes. Food was good. Satisfying and filling. No complaints here! We were on a road trip and wanted a break from our usual Culver's burgers. I had a burrito with chicken al pastor and carnitas. My daughter had a bowl with barbacoa. Both were great! First I wish I could give this location 0 stars. My husband and i absolutely love chipotle. We are frequent customers and always stop at a chipotle in any town we are in. But this location has been horrible every single time we go. Also we have talked to friends that have been to this location and they have had the same issues. First the employees are always unfriendly and look upset to even have to help any customer. Second they never have anything ready. If we want something as simple as chicken or the fajitas, they don't have it. And they won't even make it for us. Lastly the portions are ridiculously small. I have been to so many chipotles and I know what their bowls are supposed to look like. We are very disappointed and hope that corporate can take care of these issues. read more

We pulled into this Chipotle for dinner after seeing all our options, and knowing this one would be comfort food on the road home. It was clean and looked new, but it's been here for 3 years. Husband loves Chipotle, but I've only been once or twice near home, and have always shared a bowl with Husband. Tonight we each got a chicken burrito. Mine was a little more adventurous as I added queso blanco to his order of rice, beans, chicken and shredded cheese. Michelle took care of us, and she was friendly and quick. This was my first visit to the Chipotle in Lake City, FL. First impressions go a long way, whether for the better or worse. I was taken aback by the dirty floor, dirty tables. And the unkempt self-service fountain drink area and unstocked salsa bar. Ok, that aside, I stuck it out (hunger and tiredness were the overriding factors here) and ordered a bowl. Loved that the carnitas pork & shredded beef were tender & juicy - great choice over the steak or chicken, which looked a bit dry. I don't go to Chipotle often because of the carb overload, but it is nice to create your own burrito, bowl or salad with the options they have. My dinner bowl (double meat portion!) with guacamole (extra charge), tortilla chips and drink ran me about $22. Will I be back? I dine here two to three times a week. The staff consistently treat me with respect, and the food is generally excellent. Occasionally, the chicken can be a bit dry, but most of the time it's cooked perfectly. I really enjoy the atmosphere--it's a pleasant place to eat, and I feel better throughout the day after eating here compared to other fast food options. read more

The place was beautiful on the outside and had a lot of parking. Now the inside on the other hand, looked like they just finished their rush hour. The bathroom was messy (no tissue) and the tables looked, well not looked after. The food was being replaced and the workers were few. Chipotle location is relatively new and is located in Lake City, Florida just off of Interstate 75. I would gazard a guess that it is roughly a mile off of the highway, so it is a very convenient and easy on-and-off stop to grab a quick lunch or dinner. Let me start by warning you that this particular location does not have Wi-Fi in it. I wanted to catch up on some paperwork and was unable to do so because it did not have Wi-Fi so I to find somewhere else to catch up on my laptop. The staff was friendly, but I didn't notice that the tables were rather filthy and in desperate need of cleaning. Probably not the best idea in the middle of the covid-19 pandemic to not be continuously wiping down the tables. Anyway, what's the tables be in the condition that they were, I decided to take my order to go and eat it in the car. I opted for a burrito bowl with cauliflower rice, be warned that this is a two-dollar up charge, with chicken, lettuce, pinto beans, the hot salsa and lettuce. If you are familiar with Chipotle, it was standard Chipotle. I am a fan of this fast food chain. It is usually flavorful and for fast food it is relatively healthy. If you are find familiar with Chipotle, don't expect the true Mexican experience. It is definitely Americanized and fashioned in an assembly line type fashion. All in all, it was a good stop for lunch. Look at the tables before you go in. I'm pretty sure I come here weekly, but at the declining rate of the service I might not come back as often as I'd like. It's always hit or miss on who you get for service. The afternoon shift is pleasant, but the evening shift is the real hit or miss. Not once, not twice, but three times I've gone in the evening after the dinner rush and I get rushed through the line. It's frustrating because as someone who has social anxiety, it gets overwhelming quickly and I feel bamboozled when the crew rushes me. I will say I'd never get a bowl made to go via the app unless I'm sick I can't go in because I've seen how skimpy they make the bowls; even if you say extra anything. I get my go to order of a chicken bowl with a side tortilla. Needless to say, tonight they were more worried about rushing me out then listening to me. I didn't get the tortilla I asked for and when I asked for rice the male crew member puts two small scoops of rice that doesn't even cover the whole bottom of the bowl. Then when I ask for extra rice he mocks me. I should have left, but shame on me I didn't. Then I get to choosing my meat and I'm looking at the options (because sometimes this locations burns the meat) and he's rushing me again. I understand I came in close to closing, I understand that but there's NEVER any acceptable time to rush someone when customers are in the store during business hours. Overall this has to be my worst experience I've had at this location. One thing I also wished this location did is cook more peppers in the fajita veggies because 99% of the time it's just onions and that's not fajita veggies it's just grilled (burnt) onions. I do recommend going to this location in the afternoon as the crew then is on point and courteous even when it's crazy busy. And they never make fun of me for saying extra rice or taking my time. Overall I think I'm going to start limiting my excursions to this location. Oh and my chicken was burnt, which shocker shocker. Also it's hit or miss on how clean the place is, also depending on the crew in the store. read more

This place was so dirty and unclean. There was ants all by the soda machine and crawling all over the utensils and napkins. They were not busy and had plenty of staff that could have cleaned up. The staff here is really friendly and anytime I've placed an order online my food is always accurately made. It's also very clean at this location. I am, however, disappointed that on many different occasions different ingredients were not cooked thoroughly. I usually don't leave a negative review but this has been a reoccurring issue. To the point of the food being inedible. It's discouraging because I love chipotle! We went there at 6:30 pm on a week night. The employees were all standing around yucking it up about their personal lives, while the place was filthy, from the service counter, to the tables. The food in the individual bins looked like it had been there for hours. I had to pass on the pinto beans as they were so dried out, they looked solid. The rice bin had one big clump which the server had to break up for my bowl. And that server was none too happy that she had to stop socializing and wait on us. She presented an air that she could care less if we enjoyed our stay or not. It's hard to find good help I guess. read more

The worst Chipotle we have been to in several years. The food taste was 1 note which was very bland. The line person "A" was extremely rude. No greeting or asking what I would like. They are untrained especially concerning gluten allergies. Both females on the serving line were rude and sarcastic. The restaurant was clean but was early. I showed up at 9pm to pick up my online order in the drive thru with my dog. The staff was cleaning up inside and I felt horrible because I know they just want to go home, I get it. I have had the longest 24 hours with a delayed flight and a 3 hour drive then 5 hours at work. Sara assisted me at the window. She grabbed chicken for my dog. They had already dumped the sweet tea and I told her it was fine I have drinks at home. She insisted she check the lobby to see if there was still some there. Then she offered to get me something else. PUT THE SODA MACHINE DISPENSER BACK ON. I am just amazed at the level of care she had over a simple drink. The effort she put in just to satisfy my order and put the customer first. Sarah is a valuable worker with a wonderful work ethic. My family and I stopped after driving several hours. As a family of six it's always difficult to make a decision. Finally after making a decision we were told they couldn't make the quesadilla my two sons ordered. There was no one in line behind us and the workers said they could only make the product if we ordered on the app. So we left, chipotle , lost about 50 bucks and ended up at Chick fil a .Costumer service is a lost cause here.
