The experience at IHOP left quite a bit to be desired. I waited about 6 minutes just to be greeted and seated, despite there being only 6 patrons in the restaurant, so it clearly wasn't an issue of being overwhelmed with customers. Unfortunately, the service didn't improve much from there. The food that was served was incorrect, and the overall cleanliness could use attention as well--the windows were noticeably dirty. There's definitely room for improvement in the areas of customer service, order accuracy, and cleanliness. Hopefully this was just an off day, but based on my experience, I expected better. read more

I got the steak omelette to go and it tasted good! Fresh, tender, and flavorful. The toast was okay, probably a little too tough for my liking. I also got the dulce le leche iced coffee and absolutely disliked it. I even tried to have them make me another one but even the second one tasted bad too. Something about the syrup being grainy? I couldn't figure it out. The servers were kind and attentive even though it was a little busy since it was a Sunday. Although the restaurant was busy, inside never felt chaotic or overwhelming. Still calm and a welcoming place to eat, just like your typical Ihop. There was line to check out/order food but it wasn't bad. We were greeted as soon as we entered and seated within three minutes. The server could not have been better. She was attentive, but not overbearing. The food was adequate portions and delicious. (We had gone to a different place previously and walked out because the music was so loud and annoying as well as the atmosphere. I must admit that IHOP is not my usual choice for breakfast, but I was with friends whose turn it was to choose a place for breakfast while traveling from Indiana to Siesta Key. So I was surprised when this turned out to be a great experience. The hostess and server were both super friendly and helpful, and the restaurant was clean. I ordered the Plant-Based Sausage Power Combo, substituting a couple of over-easy eggs for the scrambled egg whites. The plant-based sausage was excellent! It sizzled on the plate like real sausage, and the taste and texture were identical to meat. Perfectly cooked, and I know from cooking plant-based patties myself that if they get even slightly overcooked they become tough and dry. This was a nice experience, and I highly recommended the plant-based sausage. read more

Went in for the advertised special, However it is only Monday thru Friday. We were disappointed but chose an alternative. The hot food was served on a cold plate. The server, Cat, should have rejected the meals. We asked for crisp bacon. It was burnt to a crisp. She said, almost sarcastically, "is that done enough" when she placed it in front of us. Terrible service! 15 minutes to get a table in a nearly empty restaurant, the server seemed much more interested in cleaning tables and sweeping than seating one of the few patrons available. Food arrived quickly, but was thrown on the table without comment. It was impossible to get the server's attention to ask for warm food instead of ice cold. Repeatedly asked for refills on drinks, but when the refills finally arrived, it came with a comment from the server that was unnecessary. Speaking with the manager did no good. All she could do was state that the server had not had any other problems. Go to Cracker Barrel or waffle house or even McDonald's, but avoid this place unless you prefer to have terrible food and terrible service. read more

I stopped here on Sunday, July 28, 2024. I ordered one waffle that came with strawberries and subbed bananas for the cheesecake. I was charged $10 for the one waffle, $2.69 for the strawberries, and $1.99 for the few slices of a banana. On top of that, coffee was $4.00, and a small orange juice was $4.00. Damn, a $25 breakfast? $4.00 coffee? I've just gotten to where I can't afford to go here to eat anymore. How do you guys with a family afford this? read more

IHOP, or International House of Pancakes as some of us might know this business as, is the longest chain that was one of the pioneers in the chain restaurants that specialized in breakfast. Nowadays, you see plenty of places with an emphasis on breakfast that have spread across the country, but International House of Pancakes was one of the first. Being one of the pioneers does not make it one of the best, though. A lot of newer national chains have come on board with this breakfast concept and do an infinitely better, but IHOP still has its place in the world. The service here was friendly and the food, while not or shattering, it was also not terrible. I went with an awful until as opposed to the pancakes which is what this company was based on, but I am not really into sweet breakfasts. I am more of a savory type breakfast person. We never got to the food part , just waiting to be seated was enough time that we should have left then. We waited. We were seated, and waited. The waitress was moving everywhere, but very low productivity on her stops. One time it was a long discussion about the toast would soon be out. I know because we were sitting the next table over. The menu was a printed paper that said it was a limited menu. Never got to ordering because when we got our water, the waitress didn't have her order book, so she would be back...This was a waste of 15 minutes to get a glass of water. On Sunday Nov 3rd, i brought my family to Ihop in Lake City, FL and the first thing that came out of the servers mouth was that they did not have Crepes, or Bananas. My wife was set to order crepes, with a side of Pancakes with bananas, and I intended to have French Toasts with Bananas and strawberries. How can these so called managers not have provisions properly stocked to provide the customer with a memorable food experience instead of one that starts with disappointment??? I would expect a national chain to be better prepared to supply locations with the supplies needed to support Patrons professionally in support of the Brand. Why not shoot to be the best? Only one review which is a bit dated so I'll pipe in here. We stopped here on the way back from the Tampa area. I was sad to hear that the updated menu doesn't include the quesadillas . It's probably been 4-5 years since I've ordered anything OTHER than the quesadillas. #BringBackTheDilla I settled with the pancake breakfast which was two pancakes, two pieces of bacon, hash browns, and eggs your way. Overall solid. We noticed there were a lot of open tables but a lot of people waiting. I'm assuming it's a function of the spot being understaffed which was is sad to see. Service was good. Portions are very small. For 2 of us at breakfast the bill was $45.00. I gave the waitress a $7.00 tip as she was a good waitress, but c/mon. I mean $3.89 for one biscuit! We both ordered the breakfast sampler and it says it comes with 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 2 eggs and 2 pancakes for 12.89. But in reality all items except the egg yolks and sausage are actually 1 piece cut into 2 pieces. Ridiculous when you spend $50.00 for breakfast for 2 and you still leave their hungry. Will not be back. This place is actually very clean and close to the interstate, but never is it busy and now I know why. Corporate greed at its finest! read more

Our first time stopping at this IHOP. I order the Pablano Omelette and my wife ordered the Breakfast Sampler. Everything was amazing! We found a metal scraping of some sort in my grits which wasn't being a big deal but to the rest of the family it was so we had our waitress get the manager involved! Her name was Whitney and was very sweet and helpful. The food was really good and everyone there was very sweet including our waitress! 10/10 would come again! read more

When the hostess doesn't greet you or even crack a smile, and she throws the menus on the table and keeps walking, then gives someone the finger to someone in the kitchen on the way back to the front from your table, that's not a good sign. We didn't stay to taste the food. read more

Well, it kinda went this way. My wife and I stopped in on Saturday AM only to be seated right at the kitchen entrance with so many other available booths. In the meantime we overheard two door dash people saying that their orders were never ready for pickup. Ask for lemon for water twice and then walked out fearing it would be an hour wait for breakfast. FAST FORWARD two days. We decided to try again on Monday. Walked in and they tried to sit us near the kitchen again so we requested another booth even though the place was only partially occupied. The food came with almost cold, barely warm scrambled eggs and barely warm pancakes with cold blueberries on top. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. read more

Had breakfast today and Brittany was our server. She said hello to us and then turned around and took care of the table needing butter next to us. She then came back and took our order. Our order came out within a few minutes and we never saw her again other than to check on the other table and laid the check on the table! Our eggs were cold and brown, the hash browns were burnt. No butter for toast so you basically had to chock down the food. SHE NEVER CAME BACK AND KEPT HER BACK TO US THE WHOLE TIME! I should have just walked out and left it there! Will not be back! Stopped there on a Sunday morning at 11 AM. We were told the wait would be 10 to 15 minutes and it took 47 minutes for us to get a table. Once inside, we were there for another hour and a half before we got our food and were able to leave. Our drinks were empty, people waited outside while there were tables that needed to be cleaned so patrons could come inside. We were entertained listening to a waitress swearing within earshot of our 12 year old daughter. When our food arrived it was cold; However the pancakes arrived 10 minutes later and they were hot. There was obviously no manager on site. And all the employees had a I don't care attitude. Waited for 10 minutes on our bill, placed cash on the table when it didn't arrive and left. The good thing was they definitely were using precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. They were practicing social distancing, having people wait outside or in their cars, and leaving from a different door from their arrival door. The problem was people were waiting outside when there were plenty of empty tables inside that just needed to be cleaned! Don't waste your time or money! read more

Food is good. Our waitress was not. We understood the waiting to be seated; wait for food. However never received all our ordered food- when we mentioned to the waitress, we were told they were looking for a bowl(for grits). Waited for the bill- got up and went to the register to pay- this was the only way we got the bill. Of course the item never delivered was on the bill. Poor overall experience. read more
