I went in and ordered $5.00 kids quesadilla, in which my son loves the chicken but just doesn't want it in the quesadilla itself. I politely ask if they can just put the little bit on the side and they tell me no it's gonna be extra, and i'm explaining if i can have it on the quesadilla why can't you just put it on the side instead?? They look at me and are just very rude, end up charging me an extra $5.00 just for a small side of chicken.. ? I've been to many other locations in which they have no problem with it, as i'm not asking for extra or any large amount, but apparently i'm crazy to ask for it at this location. This is my go-to lunch spot because I have no time to cook for myself. For what it is, in 2025, the food is at a decent price with fast service. The line could be kept a bit cleaner (mixing of ingredients) but that only tends to get messy during rushes. The staff works hard and the restaurant is clean and neat. Some reviews state they will miss items or the food will taste differently from day to day and I simply see these as things that happen in any restaurant that cooks their own food freshly--ingredients vary from day to day, things run out. Overall, this is an awesome spot to eat in a city that doesn't have many restaurants. It's not fine dining but that's okay. read more

I read the reviews and decided to try it anyway. Wrong move. The Veterans Day meal discount is available for only ONE HOUR from 3-4PM. That was not stated on any web page. The offerings on the online menu, that you're supposed to be able to order such as the protein bowl, do not reflect the actual menu. Tbh I hate leaving negative reviews. But when my wife got home with the order I placed, the two chips were missing from the chips and guacamole order I placed in addition to the flor tortilla. I should've checked the guacamole on the spot as well because although I was given chips when I went in person to notify the staff of the issue; when I got home and started eating the chips and guacamole, I opened the guacamole only to see how absolutely fucking disgusting it is. Who in their right mind, see brown guacamole and serves that to a customer. My wife is frkn pregnant! Neither her nor I ate the guacamole obviously. But I'm def going in person tomorrow to complain. For as much as Chipotle has the nerve to charge for their food, the least they could do is make it taste good and actually give portions to match the prices! After YEARS of not eating at Chipotle, I came to grab lunch with a friend who absolutely loves it. I was appalled at the cost of the food (especially the upcharge for Guacamole). They skimped on how much food they gave - I remember back in 2005, they'd put so much food in your rice bowl that you couldn't close it! But recession and inflation - OK! The people working looked embarrassed at the quantity for the pricing when I brought it up. I know it's not their fault at all and I did not mention it as such either. It's just really ridiculous in my opinion; if I am going to pay that much for food, I will be expecting a certain quality and quantity. I don't understand why they have to put cilantro in almost every dish. The corn, guacamole, and rice have way too much cilantro. On chipotle's website it says you can go in and order anything you want without cilantro but that is not the case in the Las Cruces restaurant there's a large percentage of the population that has a complete distain for cilantro. Great friendly staff, clean establishment, very limited parking. Burrito WAY OVER PRICED. $2.70 for avocado making it a total of $16 for one mediocre tasting burrito PLUS the drink. You have probably noticed that our Chipotle has had a number of poor reviews lately on Yelp and Google. Is it really that bad? I just had to revisit it to find out for myself. Here's what I experienced at lunchtime. The restaurant has a user friendly setup. It was clean and orderly. The service was personable and efficient. I ordered a burrito but a bowl might have been a better choice. You can pile more fixings into a bowl and the burrito is hard to cut with the cheap plastic knives. Oh well. I believe they had a notice on their menu board that you pay extra for guacamole but I didn't notice it and found out afterwards that I was charged almost $3.00 extra for the guac. The prices, as numerous reviewers have mentioned have really gone up over the past few years. This burrito (with guacamole) and a small drink was around $21.00 with tax. There are many better deals around town. (For example, Cha Chi's big bad burrito supreme, smothered and with brisket along with chips and two dips is about three to four dollars less than this Chipotle burrito and the Cha Chi's Burrito is far superior.) The overall quality of the food at Chipotle wasn't bad; not great but not bad. The smoked brisket was finely chopped and nothing too special. Some of the sauces were pretty tasty. Overall, rate the burrito about a "B-." It was decent enough but not something to go of your way for. So is Chipotle as bad as some reviewers would have you believe? No way! There was a steady traffic at lunchtime; evidently a lot of people like the food and the experience. Now I'm not saying that most of the negative reviews have no basis in fact. I wasn't there to share their experience, but from my few visits over the past few years I've had no issues. I think Chipotle has many satisfied customers and that most just don't bother to post on the internet. Thus, you cannot rely on the overall internet rating. Rate the overall dining experience today around THREE-AND-THREE-QUARTER STARS....meaning above average for a fast food style joint. The prices can be a little steep for the quality but remember there is no tipping. Also note, the parking situation is pretty poor here...very few spaces . read more

I Was craving Chipotle this afternoon and my brother and I went in.....now mind you we went about 6 weeks ago and it was awesome, but this time it was awful. Not only were they out of black beans but the portions were also smaller than usual. Then the price of queso and guacamole is outrageous for a small serving. The food didn't have any flavor even the hot salsa was bland. So it did cost us $38 for 2 burritos and two drinks. Speaking of drinks, the fountain lemonade was pure syrup and when I told the staff they said that just add water. I use to work in the food industry and I know that there is a way to check syrup level. Needless to say that it will be a long time before I go back. Please help this store on how to cook! read more

CHICKEN AL PASTOR IS THE BEST! The moment they brought this meat back, my life changed permanently. My wife and I divorced two years ago and went to try it together a few days ago. After the experience we felt that same spark as 8 years ago and now she's moving back in. We take our kids to get chicken Al pastor and my son is now on the top ten football players list in the US due to its nutritional benefit. My daughter is the valedictorian of her high school and is getting offers for full rides at many Ivy League schools due to the mental focus the chicken provides. Chicken Al pastor is the cornerstone of my children, my love life, and my happiness as a whole. We have chicken Al pastor twice a day everyday. No rice, no beans, JUST CHICKEN AL PASTOR! Went in chipotle yesterday and saw the cutest man I've ever seen in my life. He was working grill and he gave me his fresh steak, but I wish he gave me another kind of meat. When he went back to the grill and bent over, it was probably the most sexiest thing I've ever seen. His big juicy dumptruck was almost bulging out of his pants. Chipotle has good food but customer service is lacking. If you call - you get automated service and then when transferred to the store no one answers - I understand this is a common practice at this location. Try texting to get a question answered - it's a bot and can't get a person. The young man who made my burrito was friendly, kind, and helpful. Cashier was aloof. Other employees were standing around chatting - could have answered the phone or perhaps cleaned- the drink and utensil area needed attention. Looks like this location lacks leadership. read more

To the cashier that rung up my order today. I know that the job you are doing may not be your first choice of places to work, but if you are going to hold a customer service position for Chipotle then I would keep a few things in mind. When you are helping a customer you should treat them as you would like to be treated by someone in your position if the roles were reversed and you were the customer. Looking at the reviews it looks like there are a few complaints rolling around and I am sure you don't like hearing critiques/concerns about your restaurant but take them with a smile, especially from someone who is just trying to voice a concern to make your small business a better place for you and other customers. I was not angry at all, I was just voicing a concern regarding the multiple times that product has not been available when I have come to your location to purchase food. Yes you probably don't have any control over whether those items are available or not, but keep in mind in your position you are the face of Chipotle in that moment and people may decide on whether or not they come back to your restaurant due to the way you have treated them. The more people you treat poorly the longer the list is who will decide not to eat at your restaurant anymore. Less customers equal less sales which mean less jobs available. You should not purposely not of given me my receipt, (when you knew I needed one as I could not get the app to work) and also not put the chips in that I paid for in my to go bag. I had to come back twice for both the items and instead of saying I apologize for forgetting those items I was greeted with a smirk both times. That all being said, I will give you and your restaurant another chance and hope that maybe you will take this story to heart and treat the next customer a little kinder. read more

We drove an hour to this chipotle and there was only two meats, no sour cream, queso blanco or lemonade. There were no signs and all the portions in my bowl were half and they charged me extra for normal amount, ended up paying $55 for low quality food. This is also the first chipotle ive ever been to that doesnt give the first responders discount and ive been to chipotle's in multiple states. The employees werent very nice either. Cashier Jan 5th around 3:15 got irritated because I asked for vinegarette which she just had to ask the girl on line for real quick or grab herself from the tortilla press. I asked nicely. I had no reason to be upset at that point. She put it in the bag with attitude and slid the bag towards me. I then said "did you get my chips?" because she forgot to put them in. Maybe if she had customer service skills & wasn't busy with the attitude she would have remembered. The food was good as always so kiddos for that but don't throw people up front on cash that are gonna ruin an experience for a customer. Girl on the line had excellent customer service. Don't ever pay with cash!!! You won't get your change back at the Las Cruces store. They don't keep change in the register, so your flat out of luck! I'm sure the staff balances the register at the end of the night and split the change they stole from their customers. They also were out of many items. Carne Asada Bowl is NOT as good as advertised on tv. My husband and I had to keep spitting out the meat after just a couple chews. The meat was fatty and had tough ligaments. Spoils your appetite after having to spit out several bites. Paid $24.20 for 2 Carne Asada Bowls when could have had a tastier and more inexpensive meal at Taco Bell. read more

Wow. I normally check yelp before going to eat places and specific locations. I was on the road with family and stopped here to grab a late lunch. I'd say the service was below average but the food was horrendous. Chicken + carnitas seemed undercooked and nothing was hot. Chips were stale and just a very disappointing experience. The facilities were clean which was nice but the " specialty lemonades were empty" and supposedly it was national avocado day. Two members of our party were trying to use the app for free guac and they persisted it was online only. We tried mobile ordering chips and quac and that would not work so we ended up just having to purchase them both. Could've been cool and just gave us the 1 small cup of guac we were planning on sharing. Thanks again chipotle for a half-a$$ meal. I'm a big fan of Chipotle. I live in California and have maybe three or four within a 20 mile radius. I'm used to quality and service. In fact, Staff in Sacramento go out of their way to give me even more than what I expect. I've experienced the same quality service in Las Cruces. Behruz really took care of me. The environment is very friendly, and everybody seems to get along. I eat here a few times a week, and I've never been disappointed.
