I'm so disappointed in the service of Five Guys. My husband treated some of our family members there for lunch. He called me just before leaving to ask what I wanted. I told him that I wanted a bacon cheeseburger. He asked what I want in it, I told him, mayo, mustard, grilled onions and no tomatoes. He came home and I was getting ready to bite into it and lo and behold there was mushrooms in my burger. Five Guys you are extremely lucky that I am not allergic to mushrooms. Even if I took them out they would have done serious harm. I can't for the life of me how you all are taking an order and writing it down and the cook not following instructions. I went to Five Guys a few times in the past and the prices were very high, but it is even worse these days. However, I would describe the food we had as confusing rather than bad. My friend tried to place an order online but the website wasn't processing the order and when he tried again it wouldn't let him input his credit card info. He called the restaurant and placed the order and then I went to pick it up. We had a hamburger, a BLT, and a large order of fries. With a small tip, the total was just under $30. I remember when an order like this was around $24. The hamburger was ok but my BLT was very strange. The foil wrapper was freezing cold and the top bun was soaking wet. I thought that maybe the lettuce and tomato might have dampened the top bun but that wasn't the case, and the mayo was on the bottom bun. The bottom bun was warm but the bacon was not. It didn't look or taste fresh. It felt like they wrapped the sandwich and then tossed it in a bucket of ice water. I didn't eat the top bun because the soggy texture was gross. The fries were alright but I've never had a bad batch of fries from Five Guys. I don't think I'll be back anytime soon. read more

A visit to Five Guys to sample their double meat and cheese burger with a drink and small order of fries. The burger was $11.39 by itself...not a bad deal. But you must have a drink with it, right? Add another $3.25 for the drink...and if you want fries... here's where they really get you! The smallest order of fries today cost $5.39. Ouch! Recall that as of today you can buy a ten pound bag of potatoes for under $3.00. With tax, this simple meal set me back $21.64. The burger bun was a bit soft. The meat was high quality and well seasoned. The addons were fresh. Overall, this was a good burger. Rate it a B+. The fries were under cooked, lacked seasoning, and were a bit chewy. A little disappointing. Rate them a "C." About a week ago I got a comparable if not better meal at Jack in the Box for around $12 to $13.00. This may be my last visit to Five Guys. read more

This Five Guys hamburger joint is off of Telshor and less visible. It's worth the find as their bacon cheeseburger is quite fresh and good. Like how the ingredients are somewhat customizable. Also like how the menu is simply buy a la carte vs the complication of what a meal would include. read more

I love Five Guys. There I said it. This chain burger place is miles above McDonalds and Burger King and the rest. This chain has what can only be described as the BEST french fries in the world. Seriously. And the serving in NOT your $1 menu portion. You get some serious potato in the bag. There soda selection is miraculous. Where else can you get every variety of Mello Yello known to man? No where. I like that this place has a little outside patio for nicer weather. I like they take care to get your special order right. Want mayo and mustard and extra pickle? Ok. Grilled onion or mushroom? Ok. The combinations of toppings are endless. I get just the single patty cheeseburger. That's big enough for me. But my son goes all out for the double. Okay, I will begin by saying that I CRAVE these burgers! However, it's really frustrating when you place an order for delivery, the delivery company that Five Guys has chosen (DoorDash I believe) to deliver your order forgets items and when you call, you are basically told that's too bad and we'll credit your account. Considering that 2 Burgers and 2 Fries costs around $40 ($39.97 to be specific) to deliver, it would be nice if they cared more about their customers and saw to it that their customers received their full orders. Especially since we order through the Five Guys website and not DoorDash, etc.. I called a couple times after we received our delivery and while I was promised a refund within 5-7 days, that was not what I wanted. I wanted the food I ordered. I had one person who didn't receive the ONE thing they ordered. The manager was prompt to get back to me, but unfortunately, we played A LOT of phone tag and never connected. At this point, I won't order from them again because of possible 'extras' after we complained when our order wasn't properly fulfilled. So sadly, no more Five Guys for us. I also would like to point out that DoorDash drivers don't always get your instructions (as a driver has shown me on her phone). Instead of leaving our orders on our table or bench in the courtyard, they have left it directly in front of the door and not rang the bell so we had NO clue when our food was delivered (we don't have super powers to see through doors and walls). DoorDash assumes NO responsibility for their drivers errors. We contacted them after Five Guys was not willing to deliver the remainder of our order to let them know what was happening and that their driver didn't fulfill our order. They didn't care. Think twice before using them. *Considering the times we are living in, it would be great if delivery bags were SEALED. Food arrives cold anyway and needs reheating. read more

Five Guys has long been a favorite burger place. I look for it in all the cities I visit. My visit to the Five Guys on Mall Road in Las Cruces was not the first time I have been there but it will be the last. I asked for a simple small burger with lettuce tomato mayo and onions (cooked). The burger itself was not even a whole burger....it was pieces put together...like it was left over meat. All the ingredients were left overs from the week before! You might as well eat this slop with a fork because the mess is impossible to pickup in one piece. They smash the buns to oblivion so none of the filling stays in. The burger size is no bigger than a kiddie burger at burger king. They dump the fries straight into the bag ontop of whatever else you ordered so all the grease seeps into napkins, the bag, and the other food. Six of decided to meet at Five Guys today for lunch. We arrived early enough to beat the lunch rush. Soon after our arrival the tables were all filled and a line to order was formed. Five of our party had hot dogs with fries and two of us had burgers with fries. We had all been to a Five Guys before, my wife and I experienced one in Charlotte, NC at least twice. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. I was surprised that coming to Las Cruces, they didn't add green chiles to their toppings list. Since they were packed, the noise level was loud (included their music). Went to the new Five Guys in Cruces on Saturday night for the first time and was quite impressed! I have heard this place has been packed since it has opened and Saturday night was no different. The staff that I dealt with were so friendly and on top of things! And the food was really good too! I love that all the toppings are free for the burgers. And they give so many fries per order! And then there are the fancy soda machines with hundreds of options, pretty awesome! Overall great impression, really impressed with how well everything was running within the first two weeks of being open, hopefully they keep it that way! read more

5 Guys is a casual fast food style hamburger restaurant. Food is ordered and picked up from the counter. The restaurant is very causal and the food is expensive. I spent $40.00 for two regular cheeseburgers, 2 kids cheeseburgers, and two large fries. The burgers where excellent, some of the best in town. The fries where made out of fresh cut potatoes, and the fries where good but not exceptional. A single order of large fries is big enough for 3 to 4 people. The food is made fresh and to order so it takes a little longer than normal fast food restaurants. I thought the restaurant looked like a dump. The decor and atmosphere where horrible, and there was a crate with peanuts and misc items sitting near the entrance of the door. The restaurant reminded me of a dumpy 50s style cafeteria. However, the restaurant was clean. The staff where friendly. I think it's worth going back again for the burgers. However it's not really the kind of place to go to kick back and relax. For the price I would rather just order the burgers only get my own drink and sides at home. read more

Just about middle of the road as far as places to go in town. There are worse, and there are certainly better. Of the better places, four are local, one is franchise chain. Go Burger, High Desert Brewery, Guacamole's, and Sparky's are all way better. The franchise I feel is way better is Ruby Tuesday. We waited in line for about half an hour... just to check it out and see what all the hype was. Mmmm nothing special. Just an overpriced Whataburger. The food was mediocre. Just not a place we would ever go to again as there a much better places to go that are local. This seems to be a very "hipster" place to go to to be seen I guess for college kids and such that don't know the local places, for the most part. The seats were all stools with no backs and extremely uncomfortable. Much less, it was noisier than a crowded bar. Worst of all, no green chile. That's like going to the moon without oxygen. Visiting from Houston. Born and raised in Las Cruces. Went to Five Guys approx 9:24pm. There was only one customer outside. Not positive he was a customer. They obviously had no customers. My dad and I ordered each a burger with lettuce, mayo, tomato. When we got our burgers there was NO lettuce. This may seen trivial. The receipt read lettuce along with chili peppers on the side. HOW in the hell can you get this order WRONG?!?!? Five Guys is in the business of making hamburgers and you don't know how to put lettuce on a burger. We paid $28 plus for our meal. It must take five guys to make a burger with lettuce. I will never go back to Five Guys in Houston nor will my dad in Las Cruces. They are excellent. The Cajun fries are to die for! It's true that they don't carry green chile, but if you can't stand the stuff anyway(yes we do exist here, and yes it does get you weird looks from the masochists that like it) then it doesn't matter anyway. The staff is friendly and the drink machines make you feel futuristic as hell.
