Second Visit last week was the same as the first time. Slow service. You would think after a few weeks the staff would get a hang of things. However this is not the case. Management needs to train the team better for a more uniform execution of each order. A big disappointment is when I approached the area where you are building your burrito, the whole steam table area was very empty and missing ingredients. It looks like they are having a tough time keeping up with the demand. In addition to the missing ingredients the work area where they build your meal was very sloppy and messy. The whole line was a mess and gross. No one seemed to care for the appearance of the workstation. Some advice, if you have an open concept design make sure your team is aware to maintain high standards in cleanliness in their workstations behind the line and additionally around the restaurant, checking restrooms, trash, tables, etc. read more

Love chipotle, although this new one in Leesburg has a big learning curve to recover from. Was charged erroneously for my first order there - they charged me a drink and chips for the all inclusive kids quesadilla: had to argue to get a credit back. A lot of training of the staff is needed. Some instructions in the English language could certainly help as well. Also the seating is sub standard and poorly designed - I guess they want everyone to do take outs instead. The place is filthy, the tables need to be wiped up, there's trash on the floor, the soda machine is out of a couple of options, the iced tea is completely empty. It was my birthday and I wanted a burrito. For a Monday, I wasn't looking for all the fanfare of a normal birthday dinner. No oversized hats or sparkler candles. I wanted low-key this year. Something simple. But what I got was Simple Jack. The lines at this place have shortened considerably since their opening. I remember coming here one of the first weekends they were open and the line was pretty much down 15 into Lucketts. It was a straight shot to the front of the line for me tonight, though. Who am I to argue. "I'll have a burrito with brown rice, please," I said as I scanned the restaurant for the best place to sit. And then it began... "What type of meat would you like on the first one?" Now, if you scroll up a bit in the story, you'll notice I asked for a burrito, singular. I explained that I only asked for one burrito, so the rice, bean & meat specialist sighed heavily and dumped the rice from the second burrito onto the first that already had a helping of rice on it. Unfortunately I've seen this play out before. We added beans, chicken, corn, tomatoes, cheese and lettuce. By this point in time, I began to notice that the second associate that tagged into finish what the RB&M specialist couldn't control the portion size of her pours. I wish I was over-exaggerating when I tell you it looked like she was trying to stuff Thanksgiving dinner into a tube sock. There were so many ingredients mashed into one helpless tortilla it couldn't even be folded. She wrapped my hot mess of a birthday treat in some tin foil and off I went. I sat down and unwrapped my meal. What a disaster. Since I didn't receive a basket or tray, my eating area resembled that of a toddler's after trying solid foods for the first time. There was food everywhere. It honestly looked like a Garbage Pail Kid threw up in the dining room. I thought I would make the most of my situation and turn my burrito into a burrito bowl. So I grabbed a fork (there were 5 canisters of them), asked for a knife (there were no canisters of them) and got to work. It was only a few minutes in when I realized that my meal was so soaking wet that the tin foil gave way and I was actually eating my meal off the table top. In an effort to cut up my burrito bowl, my knife and fork must have went right through. Before I knew it, I was mixing pieces of tin foil into whatever it was that I was eating. I can't believe I paid for this. I can't believe there was a financial exchange that took place for this experience. I spent more time cleaning up my area than I did figuring out how to eat my birthday dinner. If you're looking for how a taco should be executed, give Senor Ramon's in downtown Leesburg a shot. If you're looking eat directly off the tabletop with nothing but regrets, I recommend Chipotle Mexican Grill on the corner of Edwards Ferry and Route 15 in Leesburg. read more

Absolutely atrocious online ordering accuracy and service. Has happened 3 times now that our orders were incorrect (i.e. ridiculously small portions even though we paid for DOUBLE meat, missing ingredients/ beverages, etc.) When we call to try and resolve the issue they put you on hold for a very long time. The first time it happened we were missing a beverage that was available online but they apparently didn't have it available and didn't bother to call us ahead of time. When we called them about it they told us to pick something else and pick it up from the store. Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. I think the employees can work smarter if they had training and guidance, but without management, they can't. There are only two high chairs, one of which is friggin' broken. No toilet paper in either bathroom, trash cans are over flowing and food makers don't give a crap about slapping your food all over the containers-they cant understand that when you say its "for here" 4 times that guess what?...yep its "for here." They had two guys working up front and then someone complained and two more came up. One guy that was up front already said he wasn't even trained. The manager complained that she had been working 14 hr days and only one day off since opening 11 days ago. Id say thats piss poor planning on her part and apparently shes never ran a restaurant ir managed one. They may want to sell this one and call it a day. read more

I went for my first visit, and the other bad reviews were spot on. There were about 8 people in front of us (small line), and it took us 20+ minutes to order. It was messy, employees were just standing around, not doing much, and a lot of the ingredients weren't available. Even worse, when I got home (literally 5 minutes away) it was not fresh at all. In fact, it was a bit on the cold side. In the handful of bites I had, I bit into 2 huge chunks of fat... Not fat that was attached to meat, literally stand alone chunks of fat (I had the Barbacoa). I will never go back to this chipotle again. The 20 minute drive to sterling is well worth it, because this chipotle is terrible. Seriously, don't waste your money. read more

This Chipotle is the worst one around. They never can get online orders right, and the rice is usually undercooked. Today we tried to place an order for pickup online and it didn't have an item available that we wanted. When we tried to call and do it over the phone, they took half our order and then another woman (presumably a manager) got on the phone and stated that they "don't take orders over the phone" and they "just make the food and wait for online orders to come through." Female associates seem more interested in the BOH gossip then attending to customers. Can't remember ever seeing someone smile while working here. The Chipotle model lends itself of long, but fast moving lines. Not here. Constantly understaffed and totally mismanaged. Today, I got to wait in the car with our infant while she braves the wait. Line is wrapped around the store and two people. TWO, are slopping burritos together without any semblance of process or teamwork. The food is fine, I guess, though ordering a bowl or salad is an "at your own risk" decision. Not only does it destroy whatever momentum the incompetent staff may have achieved, it will be incorrect. Last time I did that, it took 3 tries (with frustrated folks loudly sighing behind me), before they managed to not mix up the order with the guy in front of me. Chips and Guacamole is, somehow, difficult to achieve with this bunch. Yes, it really is that bad. Come see for yourself. We will still be here, most likely. Strangely, I think it was better before this place was here. At least we wouldn't be tempted to keep trying again. Alas, we are suckers and we like Chipotle enough to try again every now and then. I realize COVID has affected delivery of services but there's no in-restaurant dining concerns so commit your staff to improving delivery of takeout service. How hard is it to get a staffer who actually speaks at the start of the line not just at the register. And, use standard measuring cups not serving spoons so customers know they're getting 3/4 or 1 cup of chicken/steak/bbq, etc each burrito bowl. My kids wear me down every 2-3 months and I reluctantly get bowls for them. I refuse to eat the food. read more
