Food is good but the ordering process is a total mess. They are understaffed. The online order kitchen isn't open during off peak hours, the staff is overwhelmed, the same people who make online orders also have to make orders for people in line. So there are long delays. There are always delivery drivers waiting, the cashier has to tend to them and cash people. All the employees look burned out, and I've been going here for years and the you see new sets of employees every few months means people quit. Fix this place. Hire one more person to keep the online order kitchen open at all times. Have the delivery driver orders be out 8n the open so the cashier doesn't have to keep looking in the back for the orders, they'll say they'll get stolen but at least have a numbering system or something. If any place needs a digital kiosk it's this place. Be way more efficient. Basically chipotle is a billion dollar company they should have at least 1 or better yet 2 people tending to online orders at all times, they can prepare the food and call peoples names out this will take a load off the rest of the staff, this combined with a digital kiosk will make things much faster. As a customer it's not pleasant to come here and see employees not be able to handle the amount of people who come here. So many times I've wanted to eat here but chose Taco Bell because they are way more efficient, even though the food is not as good. Having a couple more employees to tend to the online orders will speed things up dramatically, it will more than pay for itself with less staff turnover and online customers who don't get long delays, cold food and will reorder more. read more

I recognize they are trying hard with the pandemic. I have adjusted to ordering off the app now and today even noticed that you can't go in and order from the counter as you see in the sign in the picture. It's basically a kitchen and I have to wait with the rest of the delivery drivers and app orderers. All good but.....if they get swamped which is what happens, then the pickup time is 15-20 mins later than the promised time. You would expect that their algorithms tell them to not promise a time if they can't have it ready by then. It's not like they don't have data on this. Food is generally good. The new menu item (quesadilla) is tasty and has a good combination of cheese and meat. The burrito bowl is my standby. Someone made the guacamole today with extra salt - ugh. Every time I order through the mobile app here it takes very long. Few times I've walked in and no one was in the restaurant to where I could have just ordered at the counter and be on my way out. I understand that COVID has increased costs for all businesses. However, when a customer adds items like extra meat and cauliflower rice for an up charge, there should be a decent quantity added. Maybe Chipotle should shrink the size of the container so customers will feel like they are getting a lot. We ordered 3 bowls: Extra chicken with cauliflower rice, extra pinto beans, pico de Gallo and lettuce. The bowl was not satisfying because of the quantities. The next bowl was chicken with rice, fajita veggies, pinto beans, pico de Gallo, corn salsa, sour cream, cheese and lettuce. This bowl was more satisfying, probably because of the cheese and sour cream. The last bowl was barbacoa with brown rice, fajita vegetables, black beans, corn salsa and hot red salsa. This was the really small bowl, with almost no brown rice and beans, which are cheap items. The meat portion was small, but I expected that since it's the costliest item in the bowl. There was a lot of corn--looks like they tried to make the bowl look full with corn since I didn't add lettuce or cheese. In summary, the food tasted fine. We had to wait over 40 min for our online order and the back was heavily understaffed. There were so many others waiting just as long as us.

The Latin manager who works here is incredibly rude and unprofessional. My son ordered a kids Taco vegetarian meal and when we told him that we wanted guacamole he said that it would be extra for guacamole even though we were getting no meat. We have ordered this meal many times and know that the guacamole can be substituted for the meat. Then he only filled up the guacamole 75% and proceeded to say that this was the normal portion amount. He started arguing with me in front of customers and when he was serving the food in the tray he was throwing it and unpatiently, like he was frustrated. This is a very unacceptable type of behavior for the manager of a Chipotle branch. Due to this person's lack of professionalism, we will never be coming to this establishment again. read more

Not sure what the heck is going on at this Chipotle but the service has been rough here. We order takeout out of this Chipotle pretty frequently since one of our close family friends lives in the area. Often the orders are wrong but I'm usually forgiving, they're huge orders with multiple items. This time we went in person and the amount of confusion was just ridiculous. There was confusion about who's order was getting billed to who. There was confusion about whether there was a quesadilla on our order or not (there was). (15 minutes later) There was confusion about whether said quesadilla was made or not (nope, never got made), and the guy taking the order had a big attitude about this. The manager in charge was kind and got us our food as quickly as possible but it was just so unnecessarily stressful for a fast food place. I've always had good experiences with this location, even pre-COVID! I have been in store a couple times to order and I have been ordering via Doordash and their Chipotle app. I always get the Chicken bowl, sometimes Steak, but the meat can be kinda tough at times. Read the other reviews. This is consistently the worst Chipotle I've been to. If you order an online order here for pickup, expect to wait. My most recent order had me wait 30+ minutes after they marked the order as complete in the app (hmm, maybe to hide their mess-ups from corporate?). This isn't even the first time it's happened to me here. I felt bad for all of the delivery drivers stuck in the same situation as I was. As I was waiting, I noticed that all online orders were being ignored for in-store orders. I'm familiar with Chipotle deprioritizing online orders for some reason, but this was ridiculous. I would have saved time just getting in line and re-ordering my bowl. After 35 minutes, an employee finally took pity on me and personally made my order after I complained. I got home and unfortunately found it to be incredibly small portion-size and missing ingredients. No apology or offer of compensation, and you can't get help from Chipotle's AI support because the restaurant marks all online orders as completed on time (even though it wasn't even made yet). We've been coming here since 2010, so far it has been a great experience until yesterday. Yesterday night came from a trip since i am so tired to make dinner, I asked my daughter to drive to Millbrae branch and grab some dinner for the family (total 5). I used to come here consistently for a late dinner before my night shifts, and this location was always decent. However since they started closing around 11pm, I wouldn't bother coming in after 10pm. They didn't have lettuce, veggies, mild sauce, guac, corn, or chips (and only a couple meats left) yet they still charge full price for the meal. If you aren't going to make any more food for the remaining hour, then don't even bother opening late, it's really misleading for people coming in. I feel like they just want to get rid of the scraps so they don't have to toss them out, but still want people paying full price for a cold meat and cheese burrito. To make it worse, the worker didn't even bother to warm up the tortillas! Save yourself the trouble and just go to a good Mexican food truck or restaurant close by. If I could leave less than one star I would. This is the absolute worst chipotle I have ever experienced. I work in this area on weekends and every weekend it is the same. The restaurant does not open on time and all the workers just sit eating after opening time for up to 15 min just looking at the line outside the door. They never have certain meats that my home chipotle does, they either say it's not ready yet or it's sold out. It doesn't matter the time you come that's their excuse.
