Exactly what you'd expect experience-wise from a Chipotle. Consistent food with other locations, although the guacamole was a little different (a lot more citrus than I remember) from the last time I had it. I think prices may have gone up too, and my bowl wasn't necessarily overflowing either. But it was a filling hearty meal, so I probably didn't need the extra food in the bowl anyways! read more

I dont go to Chipotle often but saw the promotion of bogo so decided to come by so no need to cook. Food was good tasting but the experience with the cashier Madeline. I think that's her name since the receipt listed her as the host. Heavy size with glasses. She definitely did not look like she wanted to be there with her attitude. I bought 2 burrito bowls so should get 2 free but she said I could not do that. When I ask her to clarify why, she just got so frustrated and then she walked away so another gentleman took over and explained that I can't pay for both at the same time and need to ring up as 2 separate orders. My husband bought a burrito and should get one free as well so when she rang him up and he showed her the new member reward of free guacamole, she proceeded to charge him 26 dollars for the 2 burritos. We told her that it was supposed to be bogo and then here she goes all crazy again. She said she scanned the barcode for the free guacamole so can't do the promotion of bogo. Hubby told her in that case, I am not paying for the food and once again the gentleman took over for her and rang up the purchase for the promotion. While visiting my workplace in the financial district at NYC, I had ordered delivery from Chipotle Mexican Grill, twice, during my stay, on a Wednesday and Thursday afternoon. The online ordering for this location was a breeze. I had ordered a bowl which included white rice, grilled chicken, pico de gallo, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. Both orders were prepared correctly. The food was cold upon delivery, but I was able to warm up the order. All of the ingredients tasted fresh! It was quite filling too! The chicken had a slight spice to it, but the sour cream and cheese helped with the flavoring. Overall, this is a great location. I didn't visit inside the restaurant so I don't know how busy it can get! I would choose another delivery order for Chipotle Mexican Grill at this location. read more

I walked in, placed my order with a young man who was smiling, and had a great personality. Personality. I stood there for about 5 minutes waiting for my chips and guac being that there was no one else waiting. The young man had put the chips in the bag and was waiting for the woman by the food to make the guac. Another man walks in and she proceeds to make his sandwich. The young man looked at her and asked if she could make the guac and the woman, with an attitude said "HOLD ON". He alluded to the fact that the sandwich should have been secondary being that I was waiting. So she makes a half cup of guac and slams it down to where it falls on the table. He looked shocked, and looked at me. Apologetically. And I said to her mine should have been first being that I was waiting before the man had walked in. Especially being that it takes 2 seconds. She had a disgusting attitude and it seemed a little racism being that the man that came after me was Latino like herself. Hello. There is a Chipotle in the Bronx at West 237th Street and Broadway. They have got to be the most inept establishment that exists. Each time we order, something is forgotten. We like Chipotle and order from this particular one because they are literally 5 minutes away from us. There is no other one that's closer. When I tried to order a veggie bowl in line, they told me that I could only get veggies if I placed an order through the app, despite being able to see veggies on the grill. As veggies are on their in-person menu board, I didn't realize veggies weren't an option until after they had already put rice and beans into the bowl. As such, they threw that food away since I don't eat meat and couldn't order veggies in-person. After ordering online and waiting 15 min, I returned home with my order to find out that it had sour cream instead of salsa. My ex was a general manager at Chipotle for 3 years before being promoted to Regional Manager. I know the ins & outs and policies of Chipotle down to the day to day operation. This location is anarchy. Portion sizes are ridiculously small. I actually thought the employee was messing with me at first. After every scoop of rice, chicken, corn, etc I had to ask for another scoop. Sometimes two extra scoops. Just to have a normal portioned bowl. I've complained to the manager here but no changes. 2 words - portion consistency. I've been coming to this location for years. I'm sad to say that this location has significantly deteriorated in consistency of portions. I live in the area and tend to frequent this location at night, on my way home from work. The portions have gotten smaller over time in general, and have a different portion size consistency throughout the day. This results in smaller portions as employees seem too lazy to put out new food after 7 pm. There is a scooper size, use it. I would rather an employee say hey, would you mind waiting a minute while we get additional lettuce? Rather than give me a half portion of lettuce and look at the next customer praying they don't ask for lettuce too. Employees here are rude and hard to understand. Mumble city. Speak up, use a clear voice. I understand that you ask the same questions all day (white rice or brown? What protein?) but I only come in once. No need to be rude about the questions. Quick and efficient with good customer service. I tried their Carne Asada bowl but it wasn't as tasty as their chicken. The Carne Asada was bland and cooked well done, which made it a bit chewy. The lines move fast and portion sizes are good. My only caveat is to check your change before you leave the counter. Since they're in a rush to get everyone checked out, they may unintentionally short change you. The cashier realized her mistake and got her manager to rectify the issue. Wow! I'll be honest, I normally go to Dos Torros over Chipotle, but the Dos Torros across the street was closed and I had just left a work happy hour and needed food ASAP. I normally don't go to Chipotle because they don't wrap their burritos tight enough; half-way through, I'm normally wearing half my burrito. But, this guy named Frank, hooked it up. To start, I went in there 5 minutes before they closed, like a jackass. I used to hate when I was a lifeguard and someone would show up to the pool 2 minutes before closing. Nevertheless, Frank was honest from the start. He told me what they did/did not have available, and luckily since I'm lactose intolerant, I could care less about them being out of sour cream. I ordered a carnitas burrito, and hot damn, Frank hooked it up. He wrapped this thing tighter than a square peg in a round hole. The burrito held together so well that I did not lose a single grain of rice to the table. Not only that, but Frank was running a tight ship, making sure myself and other customers received 5-star service even after the 10PM closing time. I will definitely go back to this Chipotle if I'm in the neighborhood again. While I may prefer Dos Torros, Frank's customer service and burrito wrapping prowess are superb! U gotta love the bowls and the medium salsa is epic. 2 things I would recommend tho: 1) Always order in-person, they never hook it up fat if you call in or online order. See when you order in-person and order each ingredient one at a time, they just give you a standard scoop of each. So by the time you are done they are like overflowing the bowl with food into a nice mound! But when you order online, they can see the entire list of ingredients and can gauge the portions to give you a meh sized bowl. 2) Get all 3 salsas, they make it seem like it's only 1/3. Great location right in the financial district at the far end of Wall Street, this Chipotle doesn't have much for seating. There are a few high top stools up against the windows and a few clusters of high tables with stools. All of it is well bolted to the floor. The do have a wheelchair lift, but I didn't see any tables where they could pull up. Excellent food, as with all Chipotle locations. Do yourself a favor and skip the couple of hundred calories in that tortilla and just go with the Burrito Bol, which is the same meat and veggies and cheese in a recyclable bowl. Delicious! There's an extra charge for the guacamole, but it's way fresh. You can tell because it hasn't been lying around long enough to start oxidizing. Rice, beans, meat... mmmm filling!
