I normally get very great service here but last night it was awful. I don't know if it was the fact that I was asked my order and then 4 other people took my bowl and made other orders. No one was friendly or nice. Was it that when my husband asked to not pay just yet but add the queso blanco and chips. I placed an online order that specified extra this extra that tortilla and chips, what I received was rice cheese and hot sauce no chips no tortilla and I didn't have any lettuce or anything else that I actually ask for. This particular restaurant at this particular location has always seemed to let me down. I order sometimes online on their website and I specify exactly what it is that I want. When my order is delivered to me it is definitely not what I ever order. There is some thing that is always missing or some thing that is not done correctly and when I look at the receipt it is definitely everything that I put down on the website. I go in to the store and I tried to call and the phone just keeps ringing and no one's answering it but there are 13 workers that are working if not more. I asked the manager why no one answers the phone and her response was because sometimes were busy and only one person answers the phone. Well then there needs to more people answering the phone is a working establishment! The person that is doing the delivery orders is working by herself and she messes up the orders so I feel like there needs to be someone else is with her maybe double checking. When I spoke with the manager she just apologized but I've been apologized to before I've been offered free chips and free guac which I don't even eat guac and I just don't feel like this place is ran properly. Phones should always be answered in an establishment unless it is closed and if there is a written receipt and you don't have to know it by memory then you should know what goes on this person's food. The fact that I had to get a delivery order and then drive up there was a grave inconvenience and that was not my first time this has happened very very very often. This location is located in the Pearland Commons and walking distance from many other establishments. There is outside seating for patrons eho want to enjoy the weather. Inside seating selections include table tops and boothlike sesting. Lots of windows to traffic and people watch. Staff was fast and friendly. I love the reward system because I frequent them at least once a week. Food is delicious, always great temperature and portions. My favorite is the chips and gusc! read more

This chipotle location is quite possibly the worst location in the Houston area. The store is often out of ingredients and rarely warns you before you wait 40 minutes in line. The trash is overflowing and there is dead food on the tables. The quality is variable. Sometime the chips are soggy. Sometimes they only put a few in a large bag. Proteins can be over or under cooked. The staff in the evening seem overworked and stressed. We rarely see the same staff so there is most likely high turnover. This location suffers from bad ownership and bad management. Corporate, please investigate this store. read more

Let me just say I love chipotle! And I've never had a bad experience with this location before today. Very careful with how much food they give you and super fast not really taking their time to take care of the customer. Usually , They give lots of food in the bowl it is usually overflowing but today I didn't even reach the top and I was able to finish it which I'm usually only able to eat about half of it. I understand we can get double portions but why pay for more if they're not even putting the sufficient amount that we are paying for ? I have been living in Pearland for about 4 years now and have never given this location a review! So here it is!!! CHIPOTLE... Chipotle has always been a crucial part of my life ever since their inception. I would seriously have Chipotle cravings twice a week and never leave the place dissapointed. These days, however, my cravings have slowly dwindled like many other things... but it happens.. I seriously still love chipotle and would never second guess ever going there to eat! I would go so far to say that, to some people, I am defined by my love for Chipotle. I went to Chipotle four times in a single week once. I had burrito showdowns here to see who could build the largest burrito and shove them down their mouth the fastest. I love Chipotle. Chipotle is great cheap Mexican food. It's not quite fast food like Taco Bell is, I would liken it more to a Pollo Campero or Taco Cabana. But obviously, I love Chipotle much more than these other joints. Almost everything is good at Chipotle: Their rice is fantastic, with the lime juice and cilantro. Their steak or barbacoa (shredded beef) are both great as well. Their guacamole is always fresh and I absolutely LOVE their corn salsa (if only I could just buy a big tub of that stuff!). And, if you're a student, flash them your student ID for a discount or something free?? Am I right? do they still do that? I usually come to this Chipotle because it fixes my burrito cravings every time. Its very convenient to my house and the workers there always greet me with a smile. The parking isn't tedious at all! Usually when i come here i avoid the lunch rush so i come here around 3. Entering in at this time there's only a few people so wait isn't long. I get a burrito with chicken, white rice, pinto beans,guacamole(it cost extra but its worth it),cheese and sweet corn. Everything about this burrito is perfect it doesn't only help me with my work out gains but its delicious too. The chicken here is always put on the grill and is ready to be served. The rice and pinto beans add a nice balance to the tender chicken with its savoriness. The guacamole and sweet corn combo can't be beat it adds more flavor to the burrito! And the cheese tops it off. When you add the special chipotle tobasco sauce with each bite of the burrito you'll crave this thing every week or at least every time you see a chipotle. Overall this Chipotle is great! I don't get why this place gets so much hate because the food is great and theres always open spots to sit at. The only reason why i'm giving this a 4 out of 5 is because the chips are stale! I placed an order for pickup at 6pm. I got there past 6:35 and they told me it was not ready. They started their ticket showed 6:30. I noticed other orders with ready times past 6:40 sitting there. Then another worker told me they made my order and someone else took it. Finally at I got my order and the receipt showed 6:00 ready time. Horrible customer service. They refused to refund even partially and provided me with a customer service number to call. They lied because they never had my order ready in the first place. read more

Poor Chipotle, this location really does suck but beggars can't be choosers so I'm stuck visiting these fools. Longer wait than most locations and I don't mean that it is busier but that they have a hard time keeping up when it is Prime Chipotle Tme or PCT. On at least two occasions during PCT they've run out of meat and had us waiting for a while whilst they cooked up some more. Now, don't get me wrong, things happen and I'm patient enough to wait for fresh meat, but this happens a lot. You suffer in line for 15-20 mins, finally it's your turn, you're ecstatic and then boom you're crushed with the horrific reality that they ran out of MEAT!? It holds up the line further and creates even longer waits, it then flusters the employees and they get sloppy. Example of Sloppiness: I paid for two Guacs and made it all the way home before I realized they forgot to put it in the bag (Why me, God?!) not to sound dramatic but it was devastating! We wanted it so badly that we drove back to retrieve our missing Guac babies, the employee who was gifted the important job of inserting the Guac in our bag, ignored me. Rude! The manager noticed, helped me out and proceeded to tell her, in a roundabout way, that she sucks and they all need to work on better communication. Yes, communication is key, so at least they know what their problem is, but will they fix it? It remains a mystery, until next time. read more

When I first moved to Pearland, there weren't as many restaurants as there are now. I would drive all the way to Pasadena to fulfill my Chipotle cravings, which happen quite a bit. When they opened up this one, I was beyond happy. Not sure why I haven't done a review till now. I give them 3 stars because there service is hit and miss. Food is always fresh and tasty. The wait time is usually what is never consistent. I swear they always have the same amount of people working, but some crews work better than others I guess. I always get a chicken bowl. Depending on who is working, the chicken to rice ratio is way off. Sometimes you have to ask for a tad bit more, which they usually do if asked. I'm not asking for double meat and get charged for it, I just want a consistent amount each time. Overall, I have good experiences here. read more

By far the worst Chipotle I've ever visited. They are extremely conservative with portion sizes. I'm not expecting a ton of everything, but when you give someone one scoop of rice on a bowl and barely a spoonful of chicken when I asked for double it's ridiculous. The good : This chipotle location is usually fast, they handle the lunch rush well. I always have a good experience as far as ordering here. The food always taste fresh and the staff for the most part is friendly. My burritos even always seem to have a little more in them then at other locations (that's great!) The Bad: The dining part of the restaurant itself isn't kept as clean as it probably should be. I know it stays busy, but that should mean you should check the dining room more often. It's reassuring to see them putting your food in your bowls or tortilla, seeing this you feel like you know what your getting put in your food. I've been there over and over again and I am always amazed at how good the food is. The staff is friendly and makes you feel like you matter. The pricing is perfect for the quality food I am getting. Before I start, can anyone else tell me if I'm the only one that thinks its odd that a place called "Chipotle" does not serve a single item with chipotles in it? Food for thought! Generally speaking I like to wait a while after I've eaten at a place to review it but I've been to Chipotles a bajillion times (thanks to living in a college town), and I've now apparently frequented this specific one so many times that everyone there recognizes me. I'm always conflicted as to how I feel about that. Seemingly ironic name aside, I really like this place. Because of how many times I've eaten at these joints, I can give some pretty specific details on what to expect: Firstly, the ordering scheme is atypical of most counter service in that all ingredients are game, and you can sort of tell them to do whatever you want. Contrary to our typical meatcentric leanings, you order the food medium first, i.e. the burrito, the soft taco, the salad, etc. Burritos - These are major crazy calorie bombs but 100% satisfying. If you're a distance runner, famished, or totally hungover, this can't be beat. But I'm not jokin when I say that you will likely bury the needle past 1000 calories assuming you add anything tasty to it. Tacos - My personal favorite when I want to hit the 700 calorie range. Crispy pre-fried shells are an affront to Mexican cuisine so I usually avoid those. The soft tacos are great and hold anything you want to put in them, including the rice, beans, and fajita veggies most believe are reserved for the burritos and bowls alone. Bowls - Basically everything you could put in a taco, in a bowl sans the tortilla. Sure, its marginally healthier without the tortilla, but will your pancreas know the difference between 900 and 1000 calories of nearly pure carbs? Probably not. Salad - I have never seen anyone order this. I'm sure they have somewhere, but if you want a salad, you should probably not have come to Chipotle. (Please don't hate me if you're a Chipotle salad lover :) ). The meats are really the highlight here and are majorly important in the overall experience. Carnitas - I am a total pork freak and will eat it in almost any form at any time of day. The carnitas here are not quite the same you've had before, but are fantastically flavorful, covered in black pepper, and make a great protein for any of the configurations. This is my go-to. Chicken - Its great but I feel like its boring. Its the standard first-timer order. Barbacoa - Again, not roasted cow head like legitimate barbacoa, but slow roasted, vaguely spicy shredded beef. This is a great alternative to the carnitas if you're not into pork or want to switch it up. Steak - I love their steak but only when I'm trying to build something fajitaesque. If that's not already a word, it should be. Salsa time! Tomatillo salsa - I hate tomatillos, ergo I will not review this one. Hot sauce - I think this has a more official name but its thin, red, hot, and they know what I'm talking about. I always add it in addition to the.... Corn Salsa - The absolute christmas goose of the salsa options here. Put this on everything. Seriously. Sweet, kind of spicy, lots of onion, totally lifechanging. Just sayin. Fresh tomato salsa - Not into this at all but the better half swears by it. Finally... The sour cream and cheese are both really great but will add some major calorie action if you're not careful. If you've somehow used restraint up until this point, then by all means go nuts. Otherwise I try to pick one or the other and not feel so bad. Oh, and guacamole is extra ($1.75). But if you 1) love guacamole or 2) have never had guacamole and want to have the first experience most likely to make you a huge guachead, get an order of guac and chips. The sodium in the chips will leave you feeling like you might die but it will be the best decision you've made all day. Well, beyond going to Chipotle, that is. Whew, if that was (tl;dr), then just go by and give it a try! read more

There doesn't seem to be much to the Chipotle concept, but I like the seasonings and simple ingredients (read somewhere that they are organic). It's assembly-line ordering with choices of various meats and toppings as well as vegetarian combinations. This particular restaurant is smaller than the other locations I've visited. Much of its seating is counter-height, thus unable to accomodate many families with small children. I *think* there was more seating outside along the west-facing sidewalk. Since this location is new to being a restaurant, I did find it clean and with intermittent crowds. There were about 4 people running the ordering line to keep the wait really low. You can order your food for takeout thru the regular line, online, or thru the Chipotle iphone app. I've done this at other locations with no problems. Like many restaurants and chains, Chipotle has garnered a few critics. Don't walk in there expecting ethnic or culinary accuracy, as Chipotle is definitely geared to the tastebuds of average Americans. Feel free to deviate from the norm. read more

I guess this shouldn't be too surprising seeing as most of the staff looked like they were still in high school, but wow the staff here is clueless. I even tried to avoid any confusion by ordering online, but when I arrived a few minutes after the pick-up time to get my order, they hadn't even started on it. The receipt was hanging waiting for someone to fulfill it, but it just sat there while the staff was goofing around. When the order was finally completed, the cashier just handed my my order and said 'have a good night'... I hadn't paid for it yet. I could have walked right out, but I had to remind her that she still needed my credit card. Luckily, the food is consistent. I can't say this location has anything special going for it, but at least the food is the same quality every time I order. read more

Today at noon time was one of the worst experiences at this Chipotle that I have had thus far. It was a very disappointing day for me and approximately 15 customers behind me in line. I want to care fair warning to anyone wanting to go here today. The store evidently had register issues and was unable to process waiting customers. We stood in line for 30 minutes with out knowing what the hold up was, it was suspected that there was a person with a huge order but that wasn't the case. I was 3rd in line and over heard the customer attempting to get a refund for an order but the register froze. We stood and waited while the staff made several attempts to fix it, while having the DM on the phone with no luck. Mine you, our food was prepared and we were ready to pay, but no way to do so. Here comes the bad part. Those of us who missed meetings and were late returning for lunch started to become very upset and requested the Manager tell us something. The customer who was awaiting a refund gave up and left. Then the next knd patron in who was in front of me, let the store Manager that she would switch her order to online and show proof that she paid so she could leave. Before leaving, she was kind enough to offer a word of advice from one restaurant owner to another. "Whoever the Manager is, they need to mention to the remaining people in line, that there is an issue that they are working on" Mind you, nothing was stated to those of us waiting or new people steadily coming in the door. (approximately 20) Whelp, it turns out it wasn't a good thing for the poor Manager who listened and attempted to advised those in line for now close to 1 hour. Those who hadn't placed orders quickly left the establishment. After another 45 minutes passes, the Manager attempted to calm the croud of very upset customers, by stating they were working their hardest to resolve the issue, but unfortunately, she did not have approval to give the food to the customers who were willing to pay as complimentary due to their issues. That made the crowd anger. Now it is 1 hour from the time I arrived at Chipotle and the register finally came back. I understand that technology sometimes fails us, but when situations like this occure, I sure hope the francise owners, DM, and all take note and see what can be done in the future and train their staff how to handle these type of situations. Giving the food complimentary is nothing compared to customers word of mouth about customer service. I hope this post makes it to the owner, DM and Managers to help improve overall. Regretful, I had a taste for burrito today. PS, I would like to apologize to the store Manager for the headache of a day having several people yelling at you wanting something you had no power or control over. I get it...everyone loves Chipotle, but I really don't understand why. I am guessing it's because their tortillas are packed with so many calories, that you can simply eat half the tortilla and get enough calories for the day. or perhaps it's the fact that you can literally tell the guy making your food to pack in more meat, so that by the time you get your food either your bowl is spilling onto your shirt or the burrito is ripping apart at the seams. Now this place is good, I love how it is very frugal and you get what you paid for. The amounts are large, but that is a good thing because they really know how hungry you are. A real burrito means to fill you up, and have you coming back for more. I love the cow brains, the rice, and the sweet corn, and of course the heavy sour cream. All of those things add the real flavor to my burrito. I may sound like a fatty when I say that but its the truth. People say Chipotle is a lot more expensive but my total value here was $6 minimum but my total at Freebirds was $10, now you see a big difference. The chips from both places taste about the same. The meat at Chipotle is juicy, and well seasoned. I love how you can actually see the waitstaff preparing your food right in front of you. Also, the waitstaff here are well dressed, and presented, they are nice and friendly. I love how when I bite into my burrito I get a mouth full of food, and just brings a big orgasmic feeling to my tongue. Though, I just can't stand the drive from Southeast Houston to Pearland, I already don't like Pearland police and in that area where Chipotle is traffic is really bad. People over there cannot drive worth their life, its not worse like in Houston but it has its similarities. I am not much of a fan, just love to try new things. I am a huge Chipotle fan but this location was utterly disappointing. As I was ordering, the line came to a pause for while to switch out some things and do refills- that's fine. But the girl in the condiments station seemed almost annoyed that I was there. I had to repeat myself twice for everything I wanted (which is understandable because the music was so loud) and then when I asked for a side of guacamole, they put it on my bowl instead. Now in fairness, she did give me a free side of guac because of this mistake. When I finally sat down to eat I opened the chips bag to discover there were barely any in there! I could see the bottom of the bag! At this point my friend had to go back to the counter herself because they failed to give her the dressing for her salad and then had to ask for another because there was barely any dressing in the cup! read more

I love Chipotle, but this specific location always seems to have a lot of options unavailable, lazy employees who are admittedly counting down the minutes until their shift is over, and painfully slow-motion service.
