It was delicious in many aspects like the tortilla and all the fixings. The meat was moist enough and plentiful, but could've used more seasoning. It was a solid B to B+ which is still great imo. I first stopped in to get our friend a gift card for their birthday. While there, I noticed a sign that said "kids eat free on Sundays." I told the guy helping me that I'd be back at some point since we never had been there. Today was our first dining experience at Freebirds. I have to say, I was a little stressed while trying to order. I had my family sit down and I ordered all SIX of our meals. I mentioned to the guy helping me that it was my first time because I was getting anxious with not knowing the procedure, items offered, etc. In addition to being unfamiliar with the menu, a huge line started forming behind me and it just felt like I was being rushed. So one guy helped me with my first 2 items but then I was handed off to another person to finish my order. Then I had the cashier asking me questions in the middle of it... it was beyond stressful. Our order consisted of: 2 steak tacos, a monster burrito, a chicken bowl and 3 kids chicken tacos meals. After the fact, we saw a sign that said "order chips and dip and get your drink for .95" at no point did anyone even suggest this deal. We totally would have gotten it. The food itself was ok. Personally, I found it to be a little bland but it was still ok. Maybe next time I will have to slice it up with some sauce or something. (Maybe I'm just spoiled because I make chicken bowls at home and they're super flavorful.) All in all, it's a good deal getting the kid's meals for FREE. We'll give it a try again. The cilantro rice was a tad bit dry, I mention it because I was going out on a limb and trying it; I started to ask to taste test it... but wait can you do that??? Hmmmm... In spite of the not-so-moist cilantro rice, the rest of the burrito was to my liking. Love the ability to see the burrito prepared RIGHT IN FRONT YOUR FACE, makes you appreciate the goodness that your mouth will soon be treated to. The burrito's size matched my hunger... MASSIVE!!! We couldn't get home fast enough. Once home, I devoured it in one seating; JUDGEMENT FREE ZONE... I was hOngry, almost hAngry. The Thai wrap was moist and flavorful. The beyond meat was BEYOND GREAT!!! The other fixings mixed with the Thai wrap & the beyond meat gave way for all kinds of tasty explosions in my mouth. Barbie used to use their free Wi-Fi to do music promotion work, and would often chow down on a Big Burrito back in the day. Some good times. My wife & I like Freebirds, and we like this location, but we were disappointed tonight. Since we were busy getting two orders of guacamole & chips, we didn't notice that the person making my wife's burrito did not mix the ingredients before folding it up so it didn't taste as good as it should have. My wife also got an ice tea; and when I went to get a refill for her, an employee had already dumped out all of their tea. It was ONLY 8:46 pm ... and they DID NOT CLOSE UNTIL 9:30 pm. She asked the "manager on duty" why they dumped it out so early ... he said he was sorry. She asked why didn't they ask the couple of customers eating there if they wanted a refill before dumping it ... he said they should have. My wife said it's not right paying $2.39 for a small cup of tea with no refills. The manager said he would refund the tea, but when he did, the credit card was credited only $1.30. When she asked why, he said it won't refund the tax. When she said there's not a dollar tax on $2.39, he said you'll have to get it fixed by the district manager. read more

I had a terrible experience at freebirds. I am a die hard chipotle fan but I decided to give this place a shot since I've heard so many good things from friends who have tried it. The ordering process is similar to chipotles ordering process. You get in line and begin the process. I came in on Friday and it was extremely busy. The process was really chaotic. The employees here weren't helpful and unlike chipotle the counters are higher so it's a bit difficult to see all the choices or decide if you have never been here. After waiting about ten minutes in between two employees to complete my order I got my food. The food here is significantly more expensive than the food at chipotle. That part was daunting. However I had good expectations and figured the food would be great. Sadly the food wasn't even edible! I asked for the beyond meat protein option and I sincerely wish I didn't. Ok... this is going to be a long one but hopefully an insightful one. When I use to work in the pearland town center I use to order from Freebirds all of the time, until someone gave me a major issue over the rewards program. It got so bad I went to corporate about the situation. I stopped giving them my business for YEARS. But in the last couple of years, my little sister really likes the way they make her particular order, so from time to time I will go again. Mainly it has been for her. Well the other night she went in, by the way she's still a minor, kind of timid in public, but she went in on Friday night & Wednesday after her swim practice & ordered her meal. She complained to us that the girl who served her was really rude to her and made her feel like she couldn't actually order what she was asking for. It's a very custom order. 3 items only, but extra beans and cheese. Simple! Our theory is, if you're going to pay for it, get what you want! If we have to pay extra, we pay extra. It's not up to the employees to tell us how our order should be... Today, she asked for a burrito and I said ok, I'm gonna go in and speak to the manager, which I did before actually placing my order. Come to find out he's a new manager and just cleaned house! He also let me know that they let go of the rude employee once we figured out who it was, the other day. Keegan, the new manager as of 5/16/2021, gave me the meals I ordered today on the house. This is a great step in being a manager. He has recognized the restaurants short comings and is cleaning house to make it a better location for his customers. This would have been the 3rd time spending money there this week! He recognized that and wanted to keep us happy as customers and went above & beyond. The least I can do do is give this review. If you do visit this location and you see the manager Keegan, tell him Leah sent you! Customer service can make or break a place. Hopefully the people who no longer have a job can learn something. Very friendly staff, that's the best part of this place. I went in for lunch and wow, this place can get really busy. My burrito maker is pretty quick, but he didn't put much of each item into the burrito. The tortilla was too thin, but the taste of the burrito was fine. As a side item, I got some chips and queso which were quite good. I also got the 'pot brownie' which is huge and pretty tasty. A burrito, drink, chips and queso, and a brownie all for under $10. It would have been more but they give a $2 discount for teachers. Yay! I like the interior design, the place is fun and festive. There are lots of foil shaped figures that people have made placed on the walls on the way to the bathroom. I like the vibe, I wish the food was outstanding. Today I placed a to-go order and arrived about 20 minutes after the order was placed... Yep waiting on the steak. The very dark haired young girl that was at the register ( I wouldn't say that greeted me because she did not) told me they first didn't have my order.
