Reasonable offering for TooGoodToGo. Some sandwich that looks fun to try. Maybe a vegetarian…read moreversion of a torto al pastor. (I had to do some random research to come up with that lol)? The website seems down or no longer working for the restaurant. There is no inside seating. I sense food quality and price here is reasonable - maybe a bit of a "hole in the wall" so to speak. Staff was nice and noticed my Poe hoodie. Not sure if he knew the artist Poe but we couldn't talk much cause he and the restaurant was busy. Parking is very difficult on a Friday night here and probably the weekend is the same.

We ordered a chicken quesadilla, chicken burrito, vegan tinga tacos and shrimp tacos. With tip everything came to about $50. I really don't know if that's good or bad these days. This scoring included in this review is squarely based on the taste of the food. What I appreciated is that every item came woth pico de Gallo, salsa Verde, crema and guacamole. We thought everything was just okay. The burrito tasted more like a grilled cheese sandwich with guacamole to me. I wanted more cumin or paprika or oregano. There wasn't much beyond spice on the tacos. Not that they were bad but they didn't have unique or nuanced flavors. This feels like a good spot for late night tacos maybe but it was just okay for us.

I recently visited Honey's Sit 'n Eat and witnessed something that truly stood out to me…read more While we were there, a man who appeared to be homeless came in and stood by the register. I paid attention to how the staff would handle the situation. After helping the current customer, the cashier gave him a cup of juice. I didn't see any payment, so I assumed it was offered to him. As he stepped outside, I asked my husband to check if he wanted something to eat. When my husband came back, he told me he had given him money. While that was kind, I honestly would have preferred to get him food myself just to make sure he actually ate. A few minutes later, the man came back in and sat at the counter. At first, I didn't see anyone approach him, but shortly after, the staff brought him a bag with food. I'm not sure if he ordered through the take out window then came in, paid the waiter, or if it was provided to him, but either way, it meant a lot to see. He took his food and left. What stood out most was that the staff didn't ignore him, rush him out, or treat him like he didn't belong. At one point, I even heard a staff member ask if he had received his juice, which made me think this wasn't their first interaction with him. In a world where people are often overlooked or dismissed, it meant a lot to see a business show simple human kindness. Treating people with dignity and empathy shouldn't be rare--but unfortunately, it often is. For that alone, Honey's Sit 'n Eat deserves recognition. Oh... and the food is always great!

It's especially great with kids -- they have a solid kids menu and plenty of side options, which makes it easier to find something for little ones. My 4-year-old loves it, which is always a win. That said, it's almost always packed, especially on weekend mornings, so expect a crowd. Service can be a bit hit or miss during those busy times. Overall, still a dependable breakfast spot with great food and a family-friendly vibe.

We were visiting Philly as tourists, and our hotel front desk recommended this place. I'm so glad they did. We ordered Belgian waffles, pancakes, eggs, and bacon, and every single dish was fantastic. And the presentation? Everything was served on the cutest Pfaltzgraf dishes--a pattern that most Gen X or older will totally recognize. It really added to the charm and made the whole experience feel nostalgic and homey. Our waitress was incredibly kind and welcoming, offering the kind of hospitality that makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The coffee was also amazing--rich, hot, and exactly what you want to start your morning. It also happened to be my birthday that day (not that they knew!), but the warmth of the staff and the overall vibe made the morning feel extra special. I honestly can't recommend this café enough. If we ever come back to Philly, this will absolutely be our breakfast stop--no question.
