Cool vibes going in, really liked their insta page and when $1 tacos popped up i knew i had to go. Salsa trio was great and love the chips but sadly that was the best part. I understand dollar tacos arnt supposed to blow you away but the tacos are wrong. The carne asada taco was not steak, it was more like a braised meat like barbacoa. Same with the pastor, it was like pulled pork. Pretty disappointing. The street dog was too pungent, i think too much mustard or jalepenos but had strong potential as someone from Arizona who are known for the sonoran dog. I just wish they would label their tacos right

Went to today for an afternoon lunch. I've been craving tacos for a while and needed something to soak up last nights festivities *wink*. I'm a sucker for a burrito bowl so I got the camarones burrito bowl and a pollo Tinga taco. The taco was delish and I WILL return during the week for the dollar tacos. It was a good day for parking, no wait and very chill, service was good. I will be returning soon.

Best happy hour marg! $6 of pure bliss highly recommend the tajin rim! El Camino margarita!! And all the food it top notch authentic and delish!

Great Fishtown bar and restaurant. I few steps from my home. Very busy place but they will always get you in. Awesome menu and great drinks. Can't beat the flash sale of dollar tacos. I Fishtown must!

This restaurant is a vibe!! I love the mashup between retro eatery / Mexican restaurant with quirky decor. The staff was friendly and the food was reasonably priced and very delicious. I ordered quesabirria and my husband ordered some tacos. I also had passion fruit mezcal marg that was out of this world!! My only complaint was the area we sat in smelled of sewage.

Came here on a Friday afternoon during the summer for some food and drinks. The bar has really upbeat and entertaining bartenders and a few patrons ready to start their weekend. The space was energizing. Upon entering it was dimly lit as any traditional bar ambiance. We sat at the bar and ordered traditional margaritas. They were tasty, if I remembered correctly they offered cool flavors as well, so my second drink was a fruit flavor. Ordered some tacos which were okay and with that I also started my weekend off right and absorbed the energized vibe from this establishment.

Dined in at Loco Pez with my friend, and we decided to eat at the bar. The staff were attentive and cool. Ordered a margarita and shared nachos with queso, which I liked. For my main, had the camarones (fried shrimp) tacos, which I thought were good.

If only this place was in every city... we got lucky enough to go on $1 taco night! Now the marg pitcher was more expensive and you do pay for chips and salsa (more of a chunky tomato) the tacos are fabulous! Its like an old dive bar but with hip music! We got to sit outside and the wait was not bad at all i think they told us 45 minutes and it ended up being 10. The staff are super kind and attentive. I got the mushroom and carnitas taco. These were amazing! If you are a vegetarian get the mushroom!! Sooooo good. My husband and friend got 8 tacos each since they arent too big they were able to finish them all... cant say one was better than the other. This place is worth every $1 spent!!

Overall I like this place, but feel it's a bit overhyped for what it is. The food is good but not great IMO and it's usually pretty crowded so you'll have a little longer waits than some other neighborhood spots. Really yummy drinks though!

First time visiting this little gem in the hood with outdoor seating that is perfect for summer days! The staff is very friendly and attentive. The food was great and a lot for the price of it. Ended the meal with Tres Leche which was delicious too. Overall great place and I will come back for their drink menu!

Omggg love this place! Finally found my favorite Mexican in the city. Elote wings are a MUST order. I've gotten the enchiladas twice and both times were excellent. My friends got the tacos and they said that the Al pastor was their favorite. Staff is always friendly and attentive.

This was one of those: let's-see-what's-in-the-area-and-has-good-reviews kind of stop. The place looked promising; we all love tacos; found street parking pretty much outside - as if it was all meant to be! The stars aligned!! Walked in, and I'm thinking: ok, I dig this. A little bit punky, grungy, definitely dive-y. The current tune was some death metal stuff - loud, but perhaps the next tune will be a tad more down to earth. All booths are taken. We are ushered to a high top table by the bar. It's fine but it's so loud... We are 4 in our party. We order. The waitress is cool. Variety of fish, veggie and meats tacos - it's a quick lunch. Next song: even worse - more "deathly dark" metal. Food comes relatively fast. My fish tacos are disgusting. The fish looks boiled. Not bRoiled, boiled. Really chunky, awkward fish pieces that kept falling out of the really soggy tortillas. There's no taste to any of it. The fish is plain, completely unseasoned. Ok, enough with the "heavy death" metal track already! I pick at my tacos with a six-foot pole... not feeling it. Husband and dad are not complaining, but also not saying that it was very good. I hear the word "almost mediocre" from the husband. We tend to agree, but in this case, my fish tacos swayed the pendulum from a 2-3 to a 1 star. The death metal never stopped. I left with a headache.

Divey mexican bar and restaurant. Birria tacos were some of the best I've ever had period. Staff very friendly. Limited draft selection.

Booths and bar seating is available as well as a patio on weekends. It is located in a sketchy area but a police car is stationed on the corner. I felt as safe as I do in other areas of Philly. Street parking is available within a few feet. The cocktails were very good with many different kinds of margs and other drinks. Beer and wine are also available. We were greeted as soon s we walked in by both the bartender and one of the owners. Our server brought water as soon as we sat down. She was attentive and helpful with explanations. The food here is authentic! Several different kinds of guacamole are available. We chose the one with pomegranate. It added a nice crunch and flavor. One with grasshopper was available. lol that was a no for me! The trio of empanadas were delicious. We shared a carnitas taco platter and branzino platter. The tacos were tasty. The branzino was cooked nicely with good flavor. The rice and beans and Brussels spouts and mushrooms were all delicious. I'll definitely be back!

The meat in the tacos was so dry that it was hard to chew and swallow. Some of the pieces were cooked to a crisp. No amount of salsa could make them better. I'm sorry I didn't take photos of the tacos, but trust me me I get no pleasure from leaving a bad review for this place; I am not lying or exaggerating. I thought they were going to be one of our local gems. I choked down a half a taco, gave the rest to my husband and he couldn't eat them either. The churros actually had raw batter in the middle and the outside was rubbery and hard at the same time. You could barely bite through it. I'm a cook and I know that that is about keeping the oil at an even temperature to get the inside done and not overcook the outside. Someone in the kitchen did not know what they were doing. The thing is, I have had their food before and it was pretty good. I don't know if there is a new chef or what happened, but I can't trust them after this experience.
