Vegetarians and plant-based folk beware. 4 of our last 6 sofritas bowls arrived with meat. After the first two (which had a piece of chicken), I notified management and respectfully asked them to be more careful. Last night BOTH my partner's and my sofritas bowls arrived with beef. Unacceptable. When I reached out, they merely offered a free burrito which of course l'll never buy. I'll never eat there again. I'm not sure if management is just careless at this particular location or if this is a reflection of careless chain policies; at this point it doesn't matter much because all trust has been lost. (They're quick to remind me each time that they disclaim any assurances that any meals - including sofritas - will be meat free, which is a pretty shitty policy since they definitely market it to veg folk.) read more

Small Portions. Crowded. No Parking. Portions sizes here are the smallest I have EVER seen at a Chipotle. I was taken aback, really. Suddenly a 'great bargain' seven dollar burrito became a RIP-OFF seven dollar burrito. The size of this location doesn't match the demand. The location is ALWAYS super crowded. Expect long lines pretty much all through midday. Parking is atrocious here. There are not nearly enough spots for the businesses in this shopping center. What's the purpose of a mobile order if you're still waiting 20+ minutes for your order at pick up time!? My order was placed at 11:00 for a 11:45 pick up. When I arrived at 11:45 my order had not even been started. FIVE orders were made for walk ins BEFORE my order was even started! I get a 30 minute lunch, it takes about 10 minutes to get to chipotle's from my job, and 10 minutes to get back, that's the whole reason I use mobile order, but when I have to wait over 20 minutes to pick up my order that I had placed an hour prior is just ridiculous! This is the second time this has happened! And last time I ordered chips and cheese and they didnt have anymore chips or refund me for them. read more

Still the absolute worst. I had food here about a month ago and had raging cramps and stomach issues that lasted for 2 days. This place really needs some help. During my last visit I could visibly see from the line that kitchen was dirty and gross, especially near the grill. There was gunk dripping off the equipment and it was only 11am in the morning. So I have to say I go to Chipotle A LOT! I think at this point they know me and my order as soon as I walk in. I always get the same thing, so maybe my review is a little one sided but I am telling you the food here is amazing! There are times to be fair that the meat could be better and the staff could listen to what you want a little closer, but over all the food is fresh, hot and always served with a smile! I get the steak bowl, with rice, black beans, corn salsa, sour cream and cheese. It is spicy, but I love spicy food! I have friends who get tacos and burritos, they all say it's great. I would have to add that the food is very "American" Mexican, not your authentic Mexican dishes. As a Chipotle Lover, this was by far the worst Chipotle experience I could have possibly imagined. To be fair, half of the issue wasn't the employees fault, which was that just before 3pm on Sunday they were swarmed by a giant masse of high schoolers who were loud, rambunctious, and spent concerning amounts of time in the restroom. Management seemed unable to address the screaming cafeteria to which the place had devolved. But we were starving, so we tried to order. Somehow, during the swarm, they weren't able to notice that they were out of several ingredients, so after having to wait 15 minutes to use the restroom, we had to wait another 5 for ingredients to be ready. Then, the burritos were terrible. One had been so skimmed on its primary ingredient, that there was more pico de gallo than sofritas. The poor team was clearly trying really hard. Too bad they don't have a good leader to support them in being successful. read more

Placed my order online and it still wasn't ready until 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time.... I could have made it through the line faster this time. The food is always good. However, The service from their "boss" was unacceptable. She was extremely rude. I asked for double meat which I would pay for. Then asked for all of the other toppings and gave me the bare minimum saying "I can't fit much else on there", but there was plenty of room still. Two pieces of lettuce and the smallest spoonful of guac I've ever gotten there before. I then asked for sour cream and hot salsa on the side because I can't handle the hot salsa all over the bowl and proceeds to say she is going to charge me for those because there is no more room on the bowl. So they charge for the "extra" even though those are normal toppings. Another employee then leans over and says "that is the boss" clearly knowing that the way the boss acted was unacceptable. I am at the chipotle very often and this is the first time I have ever seen her. She is not a good leader and she should get repercussions. read more

Prior to my last visit I hadn't been to chipotle in a while, but this last time that I went there I had a wonderful experience. The gentleman that took my order was super nice the whole time! Because I asked for a few extra things my burrito is so big, that he asked me if he could double wrap it. I never even knew that they could do that. All in all, it was a great visit and I plan to go back there more often despite it being in Redding and me living in Anderson. read more

I was at this location today (6-29 around 6p) and the four employees (they were clearly understaffed) working preformed spectacularly during a crazy rush of in person guests and online orders. I worked fast food as a manager for a long time so I understand their stress, many negative reviewers either forget how hard food service is or never worked it. I compliment these employees on their level headed ability to work through it and serve the customers to the best of their ability. Fantastic job y'all. Keep at it. What an incredible disorganized mess. Had a pickup order for 5:30 and walk in at 5:32... there are a few people waiting for pickup orders and three people in line. I don't see my order so I wait a 10 minutes and the line stays at a pretty consistent 2-3 people. Another 5 minutes go by and a new que of people are standing in line getting their burritos made but nobody has a mobile order yet. 10 minutes later and maybe one or two mobile orders have come out but they keep making food for only the people in line. Once I realize that I left and went to 5 Guys. Coming out of 5 guys 10 minutes later with my food and the woman waiting in Chipotle BEFORE me finally comes out with her order. Ok, I know Chipotle is a chain restaurant but it's nice to eat somewhere that serves fresh, ORGANIC food in Redding. The menu is simple - burrito, taco, salad or burrito bowl. I highly recommend checking out their website. The staff was very friendly, primarily boys though and the atmosphere is clean and has an "Ikea" feel about it. Cons? The menu may be too simple for you and they sell the chips separately. If you're shopping at the mall across the street, swing by and try Chipotle. read more

Chipotle in Redding has good food, great customer service, and reasonable prices. Tucked away on Dana Drive across from the Mt. Shasta Mall, they offer a nice alternative to other fast food in the area. The Burrito Bowl, Taco Salad, and guacamole are all my favorites. I give Chipotle a thumbs up for keeping the food consistently good. The only issue I have with this Chipotle is the small parking lot, sometimes it's difficult to find parking during lunch. read more

We recently did a road trip from Oregon down to Disneyland (LA), and stopped by here at Chipotle on the way. We had myself, my spouse, and 2 kids (8 and 5) in tow. Believe it or not, this was one of our most satisfying, and least expensive meals of the entire trip. My spouse and I have learned that we can share a Chipotle burrito and chips and be perfectly satisfied. My son loves the Chipotle "make your own taco kit" -- it is a lot of fun, and helps him feel a commitment to the food he is eating (important for an 8 year-old...). And my daughter is satisfied with an ala cart quesadilla and some of our chips - and get this: the quesadilla is like $1.35. So all-in, we spent $16 to feed a family of 4. And we all loved it. And it was plenty of food. I can tell you the rest of our trip wasn't nearly so inexpensive or tasty (e.g. in Disneyland...). :) read more

Excellent food as always but painfully slow. Been living in Redding for about 3 years and this has consistently been the slowest and most disorganized chipotle I've visited in the country. I seldom leave feeling that the reward of the delicious food redeems my frustration of the abysmal service. They're lucky it's the only Chipotle within 100 miles haha. Generally I write positive reviews. Not this time. My wife and I have ordered salads from Chipotle here in Redding maybe 75 times. We always order the same thing, we love it, that's why we go back. So today once again we ordered a salad. Chipotle salads have a unique, spicy vinaigrette dressing. The salad needs the dressing, and it's always available, it's standard Chipotle fare and it's good. Except today, when my wife was told, "We didn't make any dressing today", as thought it's an optional activity for the staff. Good service is ultimately repeatable. But today it seems like the staff didn't care to meet their minimum offering. Chipotle has had enough historical, national problems. It doesn't need careless staff who don't understand how Chipotle needs to run to be successful "the Chipotle way". read more

Also inconsistent.. the people in front of me seemed to be friends with the guy making the food, and they got hooked up with very large portions..when he made my order it was the same item but i got about half the portion size.. bummer. Horrible, ordered takeout inside and they got our order wrong. No veggies when asked for them in my bowl and generally the place looked like a mess. Employees were not correctly wearing masks including the young lady who was making our food. In fact, very few customers inside were wearing masks even though its is now required in CA for anyone in an indoor business to be wearing one! This Chipotle is a mess. It looked like a lot of cross contamination was happening with the way they prepare the food. Most notably they had the sofritas closest to the prep counter, and I saw them drip chicken and steak in it as it was lifted over top the sofritas. Vegetarian items are supposed to be furthest from the prep counter to avoid this, which is how it is at every other chipotle I've been to. It was also incredibly slow and all the workers seemed stressed out. I think they are understaffed and it shows. They also put a lot of emphasis on accommodating door dash clients while people are waiting in line. This location needs an operational overhaul. read more

Portion sizes for meat have become VERY chincy. I asked for double chicken and still ended up with only about 4oz of chicken, which is supposed to be 1 portion size. So I asked for triple chicken, and the worker added 3 tiny slices of chicken on top of that. Absolutely pitiful. read more

We normally love Chipotle. This location had one rude employee, and the food station was not clean at all. Both of our burritos were not folded tightly, fell apart, we paid for chips and did not receive them, and to top it off if you go in there to order your food and pick it up you cannot order the Blanco Queso dip, employee told me that you have to order it online they can't sell it to you at the store because they have a limited supply, and so I asked her if I should go outside, order it on my phone and then come back and pick it up and she said you probably shouldn't do that because you have to pay extra for ordering online which when I looked online I didn't see that is would pay extra. Now the Queso part obviously not her fault, just a bad decision on corporate or management. All of our group was not pleased with the service or their food, sad. read more

When I asked them politely how long until my order was done they questioned me & then told me to get into the line. The past two times I have eaten here, I end up getting extremely sick. The first time I ended up with some stomach virus. It was the worse week of my life. Recent I went back since I was in town and I am currently writing this review with yet another stomach issue. I ended up eating chipotle and within a couple hours, I vomited everything out.
