What's always stood out about Burrito Bandito is their friendliness and great service. I've been a loyal customer since 2004--21 years! Over time, though, I've noticed a decline in quality. The meat has become noticeably more salty than it used to be, which is disappointing because this used to be my go-to spot when I couldn't get a more authentic burrito. They custom build their tacos and burritos, which is great. They are always friendly and helpful. The ambience has changed. They used to play mariachi music and now it's like going to a disco or something.. so now we get our food to go. Five stars on the food and Service two stars on the ambience. Yummy and fresh food - and a lot of it - for not very much money. Randy and I share a veggie burrito and it's a perfect amount. The place is cute. They've got high top and low top tables inside and decorated vibrantly. There is also outside seating. Our daughter has placed an order on line and driven through to pick up. The service is enthusiastic and with a smile and they let me ask for extra cilantro lol. We go a few times a year and it's consistently the same. read more

Burrito Bandito is a bit of a Redding landmark, with one being in reach of a local high school at lunchtime. They have their own branded chicken seasoning, which is really good. At Burrito Bandito you walk down their line of food and interact with the server, who builds your burrito/tacos/bowl to your wishes. Something you will not do if you get a burrito is leave hungry. I've been many times, and I often finish my burrito and regret it. Definite food coma. Their ingredients are fresh and good, but don't tend to create something I'd call Mexican food. It's Burrito Bandito. Just sorta like Taco Bell isn't Mexican food, it's Taco Bell. But, please don't think I'm putting Burrito Bandito on a shelf next to the Bell, it's real food, not Taco Bell. Also, they give you a decent amount of fresh avocado without charging you extra for it. I've even tried to talk them into a smaller burrito (I'll pay full price, but my belly doesn't need that much food), but they always turn out really large. Seems like there was a problem in getting the food prepared not only for myself but for other people as the drive-through line barely move from one car to the other. Went inside to see what might be going on and our order was not even started, and at the time we arrived it was supposed to be done. 4:40pm I would at least ask the management to check with the crew boss and see why everyone was waiting around for their order. 5 stars not because it is a 5 star restaurant, but because it is everything is says it is . Cheap, simple, fresh. I don't know the last time my family of five had a decent meal for under $50. I also really liked the online ordering. We were staying with a friend, she placed her order , I placed mine and I was able to pick up both orders. The online ordering is really easy and convenient. My family has frequented Burrito Bandito restaurants for years and it has been one of our favorites. Great food. Great salsa. However, I visited the Hartnell location a couple days ago and the girl at the register was super rude when I asked for extra salsa and gave me serious unwarranted attitude. Also the burrito maker seemed like he needed some better training. The meat was also not what we have come to expect from this establishment. Maybe the employees at this store need a little extra attention so they can live up to the expectations set by the other stores in town. We won't come back to this location. read more

Normally I have a LOT better food from Burrito Bandito, but today they didn't do the greatest job putting together the 3 bowls i ordered for my coworkers and myself. Did not have the extra cheese I paid for, frankly there wasn't much cheese at all. Ordered both kinds of beans, but there wasn't much beans at all. Which may be due to the fact the my burrito bowl was extremely watered down, in fact all 3 were... From what..? The meat? Black beans? Not sure...but really made the bowl lacking of texture and watered down what should have been refried beans to liquid. Pretty bummed out :( Chips and Salsa were great though! And Grubhub did a fine delivery service with a smile and on time. So that's a plus. :) read more

This was an attempt at a taqueria. I say attempt. I mean they have mexican food, and they have a business, but I will bet dollars to donuts, no actual Mexicans we used in the food choices at this restaurant. The cabbage in a burrito should have been my first clue that I was not going to finish this burrito, and I was right. Sorry, I can see the effort is there, but the taste of the food is not. I wish I could be most positive about this establishment but my last time here was not okay at all! This young woman with glasses was giving me so many strange looks when she making my food and then when I got up the register she left for about 15 minutes then came back to ring me up (keep in mind I was one of two customers in the store at the time) and not only did I have to ask her twice for a fork but I actually heard her LAUGH the second time.
