Ordered some burrito bowls at around 8:30, went to pick up around 9, given their posted closing time is 10 PM, didn't think it would be a problem, except the employees and manager had decided to lock the doors at least an hour prior to their closing time without informing anyone. Saw multiple employees standing around in the back purposefully ignoring multiple people who had come by to try and pick up their online orders, which they were still taking, despite having their store closed. Multiple orders were still on the pick up shelf, while no one bothered to watch for to see if anyone would pick up, likely the employees decided they got to take some free food home since no one got it. Awesome place for Mexican food. The portions are huge, the food is fresh, and the quality of the ingredients they use are top notch (antibiotic and synthetic hormone free meat and dairy, local and organic veggies when possible, etc.) I didn't used to care about that stuff, but watch the documentary Food Inc. and it may change your mind. Bottom line, I love the food and eat there all of the time. If you feel like carb loading go for the burrito. If you want to be on the healthier side, go for the salad (what I usually get). This place is inexplicably popular. I don't get it. My wife called in a carry out order, and still had to stand in line because they ran out of ingredients. When she brought it home, the ingredients she had to stand in line for consisted of about a teaspoon of soggy green peppers and onions in my burrito. In addition to the poor service, the food is less than mediocre. The vegetarian option consists of flecks of some white material that are neither appetizing nor recognizable. The brown rice did not appear brown, and the black beans were few and tasteless. The burrito wrapper was soggy and greasy. Overall I give this place zero stars for taste and zero stars for service. Unfortunately, zero is not an option on Yelp. If you want fast Mexican food, go to Taco Bell. If you want good Mexican food, go to a real Mexican restaurant. This Chipotle lives up to its reputation of SLOWEST location ever. This is the 3rd time that I've tried to get a burrito at this Chipotle but the line was out the door. As I walked up to the Chipotle a lady walked out and said "not worth the wait, it took me 25 minutes to get through the line". What is interesting though is that the restaurant itself was nearly empty. That demonstrates that the root problem is SLOW workers most likely led by POOR management. One time we stopped in to sit and eat we noticed that garbage was piled up on the area were the garbage can should have been and yes there was no trash cans to be found. Erica and I love Chipotles! We have been to so many in different places and will go to them probably for as long as they are around. This particular location is part of a plaza that includes coldstone, panera, a video game store (I think gamester), and many more things. Unfortunately the parking is just adequate for this many high value targets together. Also the roads to get to parking spaces are often very congested. Putting parking aside, the Chipotle has ample room for large groups and has the standard decor which I personally like and have come to associate with Chipotles, but I can understand the other persons opinion on it too. My guess is that they want it to sound loud and busy with even a few people there... In any case, this place is very quick to get in and get out except during lunch and for a short time at dinner. Even then its faster than some places but not as fast as other times. My experience is that the portions at this location are a bit smaller than other locations but I have not tried to come just before closing as TKS has suggested may be rewarded with more filling. In any case, we love this chain and highly recommend all locations. I would generally rate it four stars but docked one for the traffic / parking situation. read more
