We stopped in at this Chipotle in between errands in the area on a Saturday right before Christmas. They had everything fresh on the line, including their chimichurri sauce that is limited time but delicious. They were having an "extra" holiday B1GO Free entree offer so we were happy to eat here. This restaurant is fine as long as you don't go inside. The food always tastes good. But everytime we've chosen to dine in the trash is overflowing, we have to clean our own tables & the employees seem inconvenienced by our requests. We even witnessed a lady walk off the line as she refused to work with her fellow employee one day. It's a hot mess express. Yea. The 1.9 rating makes sense now. I hadn't ate in a 16 hour window so I was pretty dang hungry, a Chipotle bowl sounded wonderful. I made an online order placed right at 10:30, they close at 11. The pick up drive-thru is convenient, first time I've been to one that Chipotle has. It's real awkward & curb city however. My small car made it, but felt like might be somewhat narrow for other vehicles. The employee was friendly. I made my 40 minute drive back home without touching my food surprisingly, except my chips & guac. When I started on my bowl, I visually noticed there was quite a bit of sour cream! Haha which whatever, fine by me. It didn't get to that point just *yet.* Took a moment to notice there was a lot of ingredients missing unfortunately.. probably because I didn't catch it, masked by all the sour cream I was missing salsa, lettuce, cheese (I asked for extra) corn, (I asked for extra as well). Employees deliberately manipulated the completion time of my order. I placed a Chipotlane order to pick up at 6:10. I got there about 5 minutes early, and the drive thru line was very long. While I was in line (for about 15 minutes), I received a notification that my order was ready for pickup. But when I got to the window, I was told that my order was in fact not ready, that there were several orders ahead of me, and that I should "circle back around and wait in line again," at which point my order would be ready. This location always seems to be particularly slow but to see the system being manipulated like this is beyond frustrating. Because they'd marked my order as being completed on time, when I went to request a refund for the order not being ready on time, it denied it - because in the system, it was marked as completed on time. read more

Grab an early dinner at the Zumbehl Chipotle location with a friend when I unexpectedly got off early from work. Took advantage of the beautiful weather and ate on the patio. Another bonus is if you are with a group with eclectic taste there is a Jersey Mikes next door and a Chick-fil-a in the parking lot. Several options available in one spot. Grabbed a bowel, and built my dinner with the white rice as my base and guacamole as my topper. Way more than I was able to eat in one setting, so I now I also have a snack for tomorrow. Our family went to dinner Friday night after seeing a movie. We got there about 7:15, and were behind two others in line. When it was our turn to order, I ordered a bowl and started to say what I wanted in it. As soon as I said vegetables, I was informed they were out, and wouldn't have any more that night. I wasn't the happiest, but tried to keep getting my bowl together. I asked for guacamole, only to be told there was no more of that, either. After a lot of fussing, they came up with enough guacamole for me and my husband, but announced to the rest of the line there wasn't any more. I came in and I knew it was a newer location with new staff so I assumed they would be a long wait. Surprisingly, there was no long wait. However, they were very confused when it came to checking everyone out and making sure everyone have the correct order. I received the wrong order. I have tried contacting them several times with their phones being off. There's no option to leave a voicemail. I came into the location with my food and receipt and was refused a refund stating they are unable to authorize any sort of refunds. At first they told me their phones were working and then another manager came up and said no they weren't working, but they were aware and were working on fixing it, but it wasn't their fault. I asked for the General Manager's number as they were slammed, or else I would not have not minded, waiting for them to remake my order. The female manager through her hand up in the air gave me a whatever kind of shrugged and walked away. Very unprofessional. The employees in this restaurant are NOT trained well for the food service industry. We have tried this place before and were not impressed but we thought we would give it one more try hoping better people would be hired. The employees wear gloves, but touch money, themselves, dirty counters, and trash and then prepare food without changing gloves, washing hands, or sanitizing. Did these people fail biology? Did they not have parents that taught them how to wash hands? Also, the portions are small when ordering and paying for extra protein in the bowls. Not honest at all. Ordered a couple chicken salad bowls for dinner tonight. They were short staffed and things went pretty slowly. When paying had to ask for a receipt. Found out they charged us for one chicken and one steak bowl and had to ask for a refund of the difference twice in order to get it done correctly. On the very first bite we found out that the meat was cold. Like it was just out of the fridge cold. I was under the impression that while lettuce salsa and cheese were supposed to be kept cool/cold I thought the meat and rice were supposed to be hot or at least warm for food safety. No idea how long this stuff has been sitting out at the wrong temp and breeding bacteria. Major safety problem. read more

The person preparing the food was this giant person that did not look clean at all. The chicken was too salty, cut in really big chunck and they did not provide a decent serving. There was this huge, long piece of slimy fat in my chicken bowl. The red onions in the pico was cut sooo large (can't call the onions diced.) I was chewing on a mouth full of onion. I WANT a refund. Even the new guy at the cash register would not take the time to properly fold the bag down (he gathered it at the top and handed it to me like an untrained 5-year-old. Anytime the side order of chips ended up being the only part of the meal that was satisfactory, there's some issues with this location and the MANAGER. You'd better believe the manager was making sure the cashier was charging customers for every little extra that use to be free. She forgot to TRAIN the cook to properly cut the chicken and onions. We received very small portions of meat and little salsa as well, there was a lot of rice but there wasn't even much bean added. My husbands bowl was the smallest I've ever seen, it was less than half full and he had about 5-6 small pieces of chicken, and a ton of sour cream. He was still hungry afterwards. They also didn't have burritos available for some reasons. Why do I pay $8 for chips and guac and the chips are always stale? Chips are not supposed to bend. I'm not sure what is happening in the Zumbehl store but they are always waiting for bags of food to be heated to fill up the bins. They are all snapping at each other and cranky and you feel like you're bugging them to assemble your order and then there's a tip jar sitting there at the cashier. Finally a Chipotle in St. Charles! It's been a long time coming and the wait was not in vain! Visited for the first time today and it didn't disappoint! Was a little crowded upon entering, but the team kept it moving at a steady pace. Food was fresh and ohh so delicious like what it used to be when I first started eating Chipotle years ago. There's a drive-up, "Chipotle Lane" where you can pick up an order, which I've yet to see at any of the locations - brilliant! The first time I waited 45 minutes for a to go order that I had placed online. Got home and there was barely any chicken on my salad. Came again today to dine in. The line was long and several people left. The tables were all dirty, several drinks were out and preparation counter was covered in food and the drink area was a mess also.
