Definitely keep driving to the next one. The past several times we've eaten here, the guac has been old, everything is over salted, and they forget to drain the meat so its just one big blah flavor. Its also a small thing, but the employees don't even greet you or say anything. Ask the name on the order, hand it over, and then turn their back. Its so unTennessee. At all other Chipotle's I order 2 scoops of chicken in a wrap with nothing else in it and they charge me for the wrap and 2 sides of chicken. The cashier pretended like she was going to charge me the same but instead charged for a full burrito plus extra chicken. My wife caught the over charge so the employee went and got someone acting like the manager. She stated at THAT Chipotle they charge for a burrito for anything in a wrap. She refused to correct the charge and said there was "nothing she could do". The whole thing was sneaky, overcharge then say there's nothing you can do. I also saw an employee drop one of their red plastic food separators into the food then take it out but not remove any of the food it touched. Also the chicken was dry as a bone and was the worst chicken I've ever gotten at a Chipotle. It was the worst experience ever at a Chipotle and it was completely due to the people. read more

The 5 small cubes of steak in that huge burrito (yes I dug all of them out to count because I initially couldn't locate any).... All cold. Double wrap flour tortilla...fresh out of the freezer.... Went here to get a burrito vegetable bowl, which I had before getting their plant based meat, it was delicious. Went there a 2nd time for the same thing n the meat had 2/3 water, looked like a soup instead, sorta of sloppy looking. Gave me 1/2 a spoon mostly liquid, so I asked for extra meat anyway. Paid for double meat. I'm fasting no meat allowed n I was very hungry so hoping for the best. Asked the lady preparing n she told me that's the way it always comes n that mixture adds flavor. " Not true been there before" Never saw this before. Got home had to drain the water off my bowl, still very little plant based meat and no flavor like before. In town for a baseball tournament, it was hot and felt like eating somewhat light. Walked in and and the young lady who handles the rice/tortilla station just stared at us, no greeting or anything. My wife asked about the rice and if there was any oils in it. She just shrugged her shoulders and said "I dunno", no asking to see or talking to her peer workers to find out. Found out that this location doesn't make quesadillas for some reason. Asked for carnitas in my burrito bowl, they don't do that either. Went to pay, oh yeah, they don't do cash either. I've always done app orders and picked up in the drive thru. This evening, I went to the drive thru and sat there for a very long time while all the employees kept coming by the window but did not acknowledge me. After honking three times and waving my hands to get service, I ended up laying on my horn (by this time there was a line behind me). A worker opened the window asking me if there was something I needed. After telling him what I needed and asked why no one acknowledged me, he told me it was because the drive thru us for online and app orders only. Well after telling him that I was there to pick my app order, he realized my order was sitting right next to him. He did get his manager to help but he looked at me like I was crazy, made me feel like I was in the wrong, and was not sincere or helpful at all. I did end up getting corporate's phone number so I can report this but I will never go to Smyrna Chipotle location again. Also, my order was wrong. Our food and service were good today, but it was unbearably HOT inside the restaurant. It felt cooler outside, it was very uncomfortable and my 82 year old mother became light headed and dizzy. First, drive thru for pick up orders. Payment not accepted at drive thru completely defeats the purpose of ordering ahead. Then go in and was told total, they have a scanner for taking QR code for payment, I scanned it then told to hold on, cashier had to put in order again. Paid. Then asked if this was my whole order was told yes. I looked in and found 2 bags of chips missing. Asked and was told they stop making chips. I said ok can I get an exchange for something else. Was told they stopped making food. I wasn't going to keep insisting so I left. Got home and immediately opened my bag to eat and was greeted to the coldest food I've ever had from a restaurant. I literally had to have my wife switch to the driver seat for me to go inside to see what the issue was. Walked inside only to find out the haven't even made my order ready. A brand new chipotle in Smyrna! It's where the Pollo Tropical used to be. Excellent service with its' own pick-up window for online orders! It's designed like a drive-thru so the pick-up is a smooth process and definitely recommended. I suggest ordering on the Chipotle app. As far as the food, well, it's CHIPOTLE!
