Chipotle is usually a solid 4-5 stars depending on the service and the guac. But this place gets 3. They need to learn how to wrap a burrito the normal Chipotle way. Seriously, every other Chipotle in the country wraps their burritos the same way. Mission style. It keeps the burrito wrapped without allowing ingredients to fall out of a flap. Worst Chipotle in the whole chain. The rice is always either rock hard or mushy undercooked. Staff is terrible -- talking on cell phone and generally useless. Went in today and it was about 110 degrees, AC broken for weeks and everyone sweating (including dripping into the food). Whoever runs this store should be transferred to a Chipotle in North Dakota, this is a prime tourist mecca location giving the whole chain a bad name. read more

Hmmmm really disappointed. I eat here at home every now again but this particular Chipotle was dirty, no ice in the machine so my coke was flat. Burrito was so-so but my chips were stale. So stale I couldn't even bite into them. read more

Good service, quick lines, and very standardized food every time! Staff is well trained and adept at their task. Gets busy during peak lunch and dinner hours so plan your trip accordingly. Great location and a stone's throw away from the woodley park metro station. Love this place! read more

I love Chipotle overall. This one is a good as any other, but it is under appreciated, which makes it even better. There are rarely super long lines and it is open pretty late. Also, the parking on Calvert is 1 hr. parking and usually a spot is open for you to run and grab your lunch/dinner. read more

The meat is SPOILED!!! There is something so wrong with it that it kind of disintegrates in my mouth instead of chewing. It was so disgusting and rancid that I just had to spit it out and give up on my lunch that I paid good money for. I would go back and complain but I already walked back to my hotel room with it on our lunch break from my conference. read more

I love me some chipotle, but this location is bad. I went there today and there was a line of 8 tourists staring at the menu and not letting me go passed them. I really wanted to tell them that the menu is same as their home town one since apparently I had to wait for them to decide before I could place my order (after them, of course). The staff are usually ok. I've placed pick up orders before and they wouldn't be ready because the order was lost, but it's Chipotle. Woodley park in general is too touristy sometimes, so that's that. read more

Every time I go to this location, I say I'm going to write a review because they have solved the mystery of a low calorie Chipotle... Skimp on EVERY SINGLE INGREDIENT! On multiple occasions I have heard people have to ask for more rice... RICE. Without fail, they give out just over half a spoon full, even of the most inexpensive ingredients. I have honestly had thicker burritos from Taco Bell. Do yourself a favor and go a mile up the road to the 14th St. location. There is a reason why they always have a line and its beaches they make big fat burritos and bowls like Chipotle should. This Chipotle is very close to home, so I't a frequent visitor. Relative to other Chipotle locations in the area, the staff (read: management) here definitely need some work. While there is rarely a line here, when there is, it is by far the slowest moving line I've ever been in. Staff frequently appear to ignore customers and seem to always want to be somewhere else. I once saw a customer try to order a kids meal and it took four different people to figure out what that meant (I had previously assumed this was common). read more

Service here is terrible. Just awful. Also, the scoops of chicken are conveniently (for Chipotle) getting smaller and smaller. It's the biggest weakness with the Chipotle model. This Chipotle has serious staff problems. I have tried it repeatedly, because it's right on the way home, but may have to find a new location. Last night despite me saying all done and to wrap up the burritos and bowls, they dumped a boatload of salsa on everything when I turned away. That wouldn't have been too bad except they were out of beef and I had already waited for it once. The time before they only had two employees on the line, including the register. He had to take his gloves on and off each time he had to ring someone up. Before that . . . okay, I will stop dumping on them but please, could you find some help that shows up and listens to the customer's order? So after my bad experiance a couple of months ago I noticed that they have changed most of the staff at this location. This was definatley a great thing. I decided to go there today on my lunch break and I was greeted with a smile. The employees were very nice and even held small convo with me as they were preparing my bowl. There was a sweet gentleman with locs that was great and makes me wanna come back for my next lunch break! The food was very fresh, unlike my last visit. Well I've gone to this store twice and my experience has been sub-par both times for what I normally get from a chipotle. The first time I went, my food was under-portioned and I didn't get dressing for the salad bowl. The second time I ordered double meat to make sure I got enough, and I still had to ask for my dressing, which was skimpily filled only 1/4 of the cup. Not only that, but the chips were very stale and ended up being a waste of my money. It's probably the worst chipotle I've been to. read more

I love Chipotle and generally rely on it for a hearty, tasty and reasonably priced meal. However, the staff at this particular location have a complete disregard for consumer health regulations. In fact, today I watched an employee snack on the food while working. It doesn't matter if one wears gloves while they work with food if they reach up and put their fingers in their mouth before returning them to the food they will serve to customers. Indeed, where do you think food borne illness comes from? Come on! It is flu season; and the last thing a customer needs is to have to wonder what the employees are doing "behind the scenes" if they flagrantly disregard health regulations in plain view. I usually enjoy Chipotle a lot. It is one of the go to places I know I can get affordable filling vegetarian food. Last night I got a Burrito with rice, pinto, fajita, tomato, corn, guac, and lettuce. It was all good until I woke up the next morning. I felt nausea with the smell of last night's burrito in my mouth. Before I could leave the house I experienced diarrhea and by the time I got to where I was going for the day I had vomited up some of the burrito I had eaten the former night and A LOT of fluid. Now it is the evening of the same day and I have thrown up by now 3 times and had diarrhea 4 times. That being said after I throw up I feel a lot better, and will consider seeing a doctor tomorrow if i still feel bad. I called and talked to the service manager on duty this evening and his response was professional, asking exactly what I had eaten and telling me he would contact the general manager immediately. He told me the general manager would contact me tomorrow morning as early as I was available. I might be more sympathetic, but lets be real Chipotle has apprx $4,000,000,000 (four billion dollars) of annual revenue and an annual net profit of apprx $23,000,000. They don't take care of their employees like most food service/retail businesses today. Due to the evidence of repeated food poisonings at their restaurants across the country, their focus is obviously on the numbers and not cleaning up their food supply chain and/or restaurant hygiene. I hope stock holders divest and invest instead in smaller community focused restaurants. Ultimately I believe that what is happening at this store is a microcosm of a broader global issue of increasing food and water insecurity due to our exploding global population exceeding 7,500,000,000 (7.5 billion) people and increasing consumption of meat and fossil fuels etc etc. Anyways I don't blame any of the store employees from my experience as they all seemed professional. I have never been a huge fan of this chipotle location. But I go there often enough because it is right near my apartment. The food is usually cold and often involves me reheating my to-go bowl when I get back to my apt. The guac has been brown, so I don't even bother. Today though, as I opened my to-go burrito bowl, I found a dead fly smashed among the wilted lettuce. Pretty disgusting. Not going back, I'd rather walk all the way to the Cleveland park chipotle or spend an eternity waiting in line at open city (which is not that good either). read more

The chips are beyond stale, and the queso has a gritty texture. Everything that could be bad is bad. I won't give up on all Chipotle's yet, but I won't be back to this one. read more

I just wanted to share an unpleasant experience my family had a few months ago at this location. We went to this Chipotle while staying nearby at the Omni Shoreham. My daughter was helping my dad (who recovered from a severe stroke several years ago but still struggles with short term memory and speaking). My dad was pointing to what he wanted on his burrito and accidentally touched the glass. The guys behind the counter asked him to stop touching the glass. My dad politely removed it and continued with his order. He brushed the glass again and they said "sir, we literally just told you to stop touching the glass-please stop touching the glass." My daughter was horrified at how they treated her grandfather. Rude treatment and we will not return to another location bc my daughter was so mad about her experience there. read more

Seriously contemplating the hype about Chipotle. This location was so disappointing. First, the temperature was way to hot inside. The sun shining in from the windows were enough the added heater was overkill. Then, there seem to be know communication with the staff. Nobody knew what to do next then some lady just sloppily threw my burrito together with immediately became undone. Finally, the taste was okay but way more rice the meat.....meat to condiment ratio was poor. I'm from way out of town and I'll explore other options. read more

I've found that each Chipotle location is different in terms of freshness of food and portions. I've eaten at this location a couple times and was generally underwhelmed but the last time was exceptionally bad. Not only was the portion size very small but on my way home, because there was so much liquid, the bag started leaking in the bottom. The food was super mushy. The guacamole tasted old (it had that taste that avocados get when they've been in the fridge for a few days), the lettuce looked old at the store so I didn't get it, the pico de gallo did not taste fresh at all. The tomatoes were too soft. The veggies were bland. Everything was just super soggy and definitely not something you'd pay $8 for. I couldn't even eat it because it was just inedible. I am a big fan of Chipotle but this location is truly terrible. It is very close to my apartment but I am always reluctant to eat at this location because of the incredibly small portions they serve. Never have I experienced this at any other chipotle location. If they want to charge 9$ for a fast food burrito they better give you a full meal. Chipotle is distinguished significantly due to their health standards. Chipotle restaurants can be found almost anywhere, although the two chipotle restaurants I surveyed where in Friendship heights and Bethesda.
