Chipotle is my favorite fast food restaurant, so I was very happy to see that there was one nearby when we moved to this area. I've been at this location 3 separate times prior to today, and was disappointed with either hair in the burrito bowl, or uncooked/hard rice. It had been nearly a year so I figured I'd give it a try again today. Pleased to report that the employees were wearing hair nets, but there were once again a lot of uncooked rice pieces in my bowl. I like Chipotle. I like the fresh ingredients and the fact that I can choose how much/which toppings I want. That's what Chipotle is all about, right? The food at this Chipotle is what I expect (good!), but something is terribly wrong with the service. The workers are all friendly, and try to be efficient once it's your turn to order, but the line is ridiculous. The whole cashier setup is stupid as he/she has to ring up everyone in the line in addition to the people waiting for carry out. Not efficient at all! Please add more staff, and /or another register!! It wouldn't hurt to to empty the trash and clean the tables more often, too. Go to this Chipotle ONLY if you have 1/2 hour just to wait in line. Clearly Winchester needs another Chipotle and perhaps this one needs some sort of upgrade. Update: lowered review to 2 stars. Very disappointed in this restaurant for the first time ever. Decide to get Chipotle for Cinco De Mayo to get the complimentary queso and tried to order online 3 times, but the website crashed. Went into the store and was told they would not honor the queso deal because I didn't order online. The queso was literally the reason we choose to get Chipotle. Honoring the queso deal in the store upon customer request seems like such an easy solution. Those in the Winchester store didn't think so. Simply very poor customer service. read more

Was trying to find a good restaurant to support during these Coronavirus times with hard earned money, I will keep looking. They'll kick you out the door if you have the audacity to want 2 food items, and make you sit outside 30min-1hr waiting for your online order to be made for that arbitrary pickup time. The time they spent enforcing that "rule" they could've easily just made the 2nd bowl and we could've been on our way. We were the only business they had at that time anyways. read more

I love(d) Chipotle, but this location has eroded my feelings for the chain. At times it can be insanely crowded with a long line of often obnoxious customers, slow service, inadequate tables and sloppy dining area. The food is generally on par with what you expect for Chipolte, but the customer experience and apparent indifference of the staff who seem to be fighting to keep their heads above water makes it someplace I'd rather not go as they ignore the dining room. Trash will be overflowing, there will be no hot sauces, and no tables because people are loitering and they don't seem to notice. read more

This is quite possibly the slowest Chipotle I have ever been to. It was 3pm on a Monday and the line was at a stand still. They seem to not care at all about customer service and still only give you half a spoonful of food, like they can't afford to give you more than that. Went here for lunch and got a steak salad. The steak was pink on the outside, not even seared. I complained to the cashier after cutting a piece open and realizing it was completely raw and she said "I don't make the food" and couldn't be bothered to tell anyone who actually might give a crap. She kept insisting they cook their meat medium rare. My mom demanded to talk to a manager and they brought me a new salad but I had lost my appetite from the raw meat. The supervisor just kept saying it was medium rare. I explained to her that medium rare meat is still seared on the outside to kill bacteria and that if the meat is pink on the outside it could carry e. Coli but she just kept saying it was medium rare and didn't seem to hear me. They gave me a giftcard and kept saying I should let them know I want my meat cooked more when I come back, but I won't be back to this one. I'll go to one of the many other locations that don't serve raw meat. read more

I second that this place is in need of some management. I always see the same girls working their butts off. However, I'm happy I haven't seen one of the girls back. I went in during a lunch rush and one of the girls, was taking a long time ringing people up.. Only to find out it was because of her service, not anything else. When I got to the register she told me to hold on. She walked to the back and started making salad dressing for a good 3-5 minutes while the line continued to back up. She got back and once she rang me up, she over charged me. I didn't even want to go back and say anything because they were too busy. However, when I would look up, she was just texting at the register. Anyways, I'd say hire some more people so the original girl on register and some of the prep line can get a break. read more

No brown rice, no carnitas, no pinto beans, an inattentive staff (I literally had to repeat myself for each addition to my simple burrito because the person helping me would look away, then turn back and say, "what?" Hey, pay attention. I hope this place returns to the high standards of a few months ago, or I will simply cross it off my list of eateries. This place is in need of some serious management. There were two poor girls working their butts off the assembly line front counter service. One of the girls (Latin, about 20s) was running around doing everything. She was fabulous! The other girl (white, taller, also 20s) was trying as well but appeared to be in the learning phase. What looked like the manager (white girl, tattoos) meandered out from the back, asked if anything was needed, looked around and walked back. Obviously, much was needed, in addition to some help. However, this other lady didn't do anything or bring anything out from the back. The Latina girl had to run to the back and bring out a bunch of bins with food to restock, which delayed the front line. This place is lacking serious management! Most of the empty tables were dirty, the floor was nasty and the area where you grab napkins, sauces, etc. was a mess!! I love Chipotle, so I will continue to visit, however I will be avoiding this particular store. :( read more

If your coming to Chipotle then you already know you love the food and there will be a line. However this particular Chipotle is different than all the others. The past 2 times I've gone the chicken has been burnt and have had to wait an hour for my food. You think that by ordering online that you will get your food faster? Not.A.Chance! I ordered online and had to choose a pickup time that was 1 hour from my order time. I show up an hour later only to find out that my order hasn't even been started. Waited 10 more minutes for a really nice young girl to come out from the back to ask my name and start my order. Overall it's your typical Chipotle food but an unnecessary amount of your time will be wasted, it's the slowest and most dysfunctional Chipotle I've ever been to. read more

Lesson learned. Normally I love Chipotle but this one gives them a bad name. I wanted a chicken n carnitas salad bowl but they said I'd have to wait a few minutes on the chicken so I decided to go with steak n carnitas. I got literally a few bites total combined on top of bare lettuce because they were out of riced cauliflower. So looking at my meager sample of meat in the bowl I asked politely if they could put on a little more meat. (Like a normal chipotle serving). With a straight face she proceeds to inform me that it looks small because the bowl is big. I did my best not to laugh. I also have a very restrictive diet that requires me to limit my fat intake. Normally I get a small amount of sour cream and guacamole as well as shredded cheese. I told her I'd like a small amount of sour cream and before I could stop her she buried the whole meager few bites of meat with an enormous pile of sour cream as if somehow that would compensate for the lack of substance below it. At this point I decided to skip the shredded cheese and make the best of it. I wish now I'd have checked all these reviews before I wasted my time stopping here. read more

This chipotle is THE SLOWEST chipotle you will ever go to. The workers were moving like snails and there was a massive line. My barbacoa was cold by the time I ate it because that is how long it took the to put my bowl together. Also, barbacoa is dried out. A person serving me my food was eating gum with his mouth open. Need some management that knows how to run a quick paced restaurant, so disorganized. Been here before and the rice was undercooked. read more

Went to the new (?) store in Bowie MD, all the usual, music far too loud, young crowd, great people watching. Got the pork which was surprisingly bland; Verde sauce, corn relish, black beans and brown rice. Just didn't do it for me. Skipped the sour cream as it looked 'melted', I find the chips a little too greasy, the guacamole boring (onion and tomatoes?) Thanks heaven for Tabasco, the cure for the boor! All three flavors. Food was good. Cleanliness of resteraunt wasnt. The high chairs look like they havent been wiped this year.. My daughter had to sit in dried up rice. Thank God I had a blanket to wash later. The tables werent regularly wiped after customers and my husbands burrito was not wrapped right it was falling apart. Will not come back to this chipotle. read more

Visited this Chipotle while driving through Winchester on a road trip. The restaurant was very busy, as it was a Sunday afternoon. They were well-staffed, so the line moved pretty quickly (great job!). The food was fresh and good, consistent with many other Chipotle visits (various locations). Didn't like that the sneeze guard was short and only had a vertical wall (some locations also have a horizontal cover to shield the food). Saw many customers leaning over the sneeze guard to talk to the employees. Saw quite a few ants inside the dining room where we sat - on the bar/ledge and along the floor. read more

Always love this place, the food is good, and the normal long lines move relatively fast. The only drawbacks are limited and crowded parking, as well as limited and crowded seating. The steak here is by far the best I've tasted in the Chipotle chain. My review is low because the service is painfully slow. One person takes forever to reach the cashier, the staff seems friendly but some are TOO slow to move around. read more

I love Chipotle, and the food here is pretty much consistently good 4 out of 5 times, but we went last night around 8:30 and were met with the most rude, nasty employee I've ever experienced at a Chipotle. As you know if you've ever been to Chipotle, there's a line of three workers fixing your food, and a cashier. The first two men were cordial; the third person must have been having the worst day of her life because she gave me the WRONG salsa (on purpose, as I was met with a death glare when I asked for corn salsa) and when I asked for lettuce, she said "we're out" extremely rudely and closed and slid my bowl across the counter to the cashier. It was apparent she was mad about something else, but if the bug up your azz is causing your nasty attitude to where you can't spoon salsa and guacamole without being a major s---, then go home. read more
