Very communicative and hard-working staff at this busy location. They were upfront from my arrival that the time for my pick up order on the app was incorrect due to a heavy dinner rush, but I was welcome to wait. They were completely slammed. They could not have fit any more people on the prep line-- so definitely not short staffed--and everyone was working fast and furious, to clear the queue. I also noted that the mood was light, and I attribute this to good leadership. There is no reason for the people preparing our food to not only have to work under such a time crunch, but then also have to deal with a tense supervisor. Even the security officer was pitching in to make things run smoothly. They were still finding joy in their work, and even though the wait times were out of their control, they were apologetic to everyone and thanked us for our patience. I placed an online order that was to be ready at 7:15, I arrived at 7:15 to a crowd of people waiting outside in the cold for their orders to appear in the window, they were more than 1 hour behind, the crowd was restless as you would understand and to make matters worse, they were allowing people to walk up place an order and they were fulfilling those orders ahead of all those who placed online that were told to wait outside and look in a window as if we were at the zoo. My order was not ready until 8:20 and when I arrived home, only 5 minutes away, the food was cold. There were mothers with small children being told to wait outside, not a pretty scene. Management handled this situation extremely poorly. I will not be returning to this location, Chipotle is not that good to wait in the cold for over an hour. read more

When service workers in food get to the point that don't care about quality of service, it's time to end any business with them. I placed a mobile order for two dishes and arrived there at the time it was supposed to be ready. First of all, Chipotle is always late in finishing orders so I should have known to come later than the appointed time. After waiting 25 minutes past the pick up time, I asked a server what was going on. She said the order was already finished but it was nowhere to be seen. They also failed to mention that my order for a enchilada could not be made due to them running out of cheese! Jeez! I demanded a full refund which they did honor. But no apologies for both the lateness and the lack of communication. The manager is tone deaf to making customers happy. HORRIBLE LOCATION!!! The service is deplorable, the inside is disgusting, and the 'up charge' for every little thing. Items such as cheese, corn, etc should not be an additional charge to ask for a little more. The chicken specifically, my sister asked for a little more, the server literally put 2 little pieces of chicken on top and said it's an additional $2.75. Are you kidding me? Obviously, not. This chipotle is like a lot of them, they get a lot of volume. They have a lot of young kids, that don't seem to practice sanitary precautions. They have tons of workers for such a confined space and they still have a line that doesn't move. It's so convenient because I'm staying in the hotel next door for a month. So I just walk over. It's always dirty, I only get sofritas since I'm unsure if they are cooking everything thoroughly I'd hate to get sick. I think the manager needs to be more visible. read more

They use the term "fast food" here loosely, slowest Chipotle I been to in my life. There is only 1 register here, meaning online orders and dine in orders all take turns paying on the register. Chipotles in the city has much more traffic and moves much faster. The chit chatting on the assembly line does not help neither. Design-wise, this Chipotle is an unholy mess. Whoever did the layout for the store should be forced to visit wearing a sign that says such every day. It's normally a 20 minute wait. There is a front door and a back door. The flow of bodies should work but it doesn't, for a couple of reasons: 1. Because they are so busy, the line snakes around the store in a way that makes getting out impossible. Even though the counter staff are fast and know what they are doing, the line doesn't move like you want it to. 2. The "paths" are narrow. At some point, you will have to "cut" the line to reach the fountain soda, a table, or an exit. 3.. More than one time I visited, I got my food and tried to exit through the back, only to find the back door (exit only) LOCKED. Then, I had to turn around and squeeze past many people to exit through the front. Many other people were retracing their steps, causing inefficient foot traffic. It's inconvenient, but more importantly, a serious fire hazard to have that back door locked. God forbid anything happened in there, I feel strongly that people would hurt each other trying to get out. 4. Sometimes people get up to the counter and ask stupid questions. For those of you that have your heads stuck under rocks, which apparently is the majority of the Cross County Mall, you have been F------ UP in terms of night time events and general social interactions at Chipotle. I've been getting texts on texts about people LITERALLY being so f------ AWKWARD and not knowing what or how to order. If you're reading this right now and saying to yourself "But oh em gee A. M., I've never been to a Chipotle!", then punch yourself in the face right now so that I don't have to f------ find you at the mall to do it myself. You had 20 minutes to figure it out on line. If you are brave enough to face the line, and/or dying in a fire, Chipotle is going to provide you with a very fresh and tasty meal. Ok so I'm growing more and more tired of the cold food but what's worse is switching items without notifying me. Why put a phone number on your order just in case if you're not going to bother to use it? And the excuse is always "we ran out for a while." Nope, no good. People have dietary restrictions - you can't haphazardly replace items with whatever you feel like. What so if you run out of barbacoa you're just going to give someone carnitas? How do you know they don't eat pork? You run out of corn tortillas so you're just gonna use flour? What if they can't eat gluten? I usually order from the app ahead of time to avoid standing on the line that forms even beyond the doors, but since it a snow day and my only day off during the week I took a chance without ordering first. Hey I'm in no rush today. Surprisingly it was empty, thanks to the snow. I love chipotle but I had to give this particular location 3 stars because I think they could do a better job at keeping this place a little cleaner. I always get mine to go. This place is basically a long hallway and yes, people in line are standing right with people eating. It's not a good layout and this place is always slammed busy. Honestly, if there are more than 10 people on line (which is frequent) I just leave. The food itself is as always delicious. I usually end up getting a carnitas or chicken burrito bowl. I wanted to give this place a better review because it's new and seems like a great addition to Cross County Center since their remodeling but it left me disappointed. I have been reading the previous reviews about NYC having better Chipotle places but I haven't tried any of them to be able to compare. When I usually go to Chipotle, I stand on this longgg line to get a burrito bowl. The line moves rather quickly but once I get to the window I have to stand on my tippy toes over the tall glass for the preppers to even hear me. Mind you, I'm 5'4 so I feel I'm pretty average. To continue...I get to this window, scream over it, and have the preppers sloppily put my bowl together. You can tell it's not with any love. You have a choice of chicken, steak, pork, and shredded beef. I usually pick the steak or chicken, white rice, black beans and some condiments. The receipt specifically says "OUR GUAC ROCKS". Sadily, you will be tricked. On top of it, you have to pay an extra $2.00 to have this amazingggg Guacamole. The steak is average and the chicken is spicy so be aware. I went the other day to try something different and it dropped my rating even lower. I tried the taco meal and ordered three different ones: pork, beef and steak. I did not realize how salty the meat actually was until I ordered the tacos. I guess I have always put so many toppings on my $12.00 burrito bowl that it masked the salty taste. End result, I couldn't even eat past one and I downed 2 cups of sprite. One good thing, you can eat the bowl in 2 sittings so I guess I shouldn't be too upset over my $12.00. If I recommend it, it'll be to have the bowl and add lots of condiments to mask the pile of salt on it. Just to add, they have limited seating but there are more options now because of the nice weather due of their outdoor seating. read more

Today around five minutes after 5pm, I Called this chipotle to place a pick up order. After being placed on hold for 10 minutes and being jumped around (literally, I spoke to 3 people before placing my order) I placed a order for a half chicken half steak bowl with some fixings. I was told the order would be finished at 5:45. (Let me say that the wait time did not bother me because it is expected. I work in the industry. I use to take online and phone orders so I COMPLETELY understand) My boyfriend goes and picks up the food a little after 6:30. When he brings him home, I take one bite and realize that there was no steak in my bowl. I checked their phone order sheet that they staple to the bag when someone places a phone order. Everything that I asked for was circled correctly on that sheet. I was also charged for the steak. But there was no steak I call and immediately ask for the manager. His name was Josh. He was actually the one who picked up the phone. I told Josh about the situation and asked him would I have to wait for this to be re-made, because if so, I will just take the refund. He than told me that he would refund me. And that if I wanted the food, I would have to wait for the remake because at the moment they were busy with all the other orders (those orders that followed mines). .. To me, I can't understand that concept. If a guest places an order, and the ESTABLISHMENT makes the order INCORRECTLY .. WHY should the guest (WHO ACTUALLY WANTS THE FOOD) have to wait for the establishment to fix the mistake? Why should I have to wait? What I also don't understand nor did I like was the fact that instead of Josh realizing that I actually wanted the food, he was so quick to give me a refund instead. Great customer service. It especially sucked because I haven't had chipotle in almost a year and was looking forward to it. So now me and my boyfriend go back to Chipotle, and I'm upset because like I said before, I work in this industry, so I know that if I make a mistake, I have to fix that mistake top priority. So he talks to Josh, and I hear Josh say I never let him get a word out, which was unfair because he was rushing me with his tone of voice .. Because he was busy.. Making orders. All in all, Josh was never rude, but I'm baffled how he felt there was nothing wrong with me waiting for an order to be fixed .. A refund seemed easier. My biggest issue is that they are always missing something & to wait on a 29 minute line only to FINALLY get to the front to see that there is no lettuce is not only devastating but extremely f'in annoying. I waited 30 minutes on line once, I don't know if the employees are just not fast enough or there aren't enough cashiers. It's really a mess in there. Chipotel is an amazing new concept in fast food I have read McDonalds is now testing their make it your own burgers because of the rapid growth of Chipotel across the country I am very surprised they haven't ye opened up a chipotel in the white plains area so I headed to Yonkers for a great treat. Basically you can build your own burrito or healthy bowl of beef or chicken , with many side options like fajita vegetables, (onions and peppers, rice, black beans , cheese, guacamole, salsa and much more The key is to go light in the cheese, guacamole and sour cream which make your dinner more nutritious. I always have a burrito with steak , (the shredded beef has too much unhealthy sauce) i add peppers and onions, and a hot read slsa with diced tomatoes and it makes a great nutritious, delicious treat, all in a matter of minutes, Absolutely yummy! read more

Don't come here if you're about to pass out from hunger AS YOU WILL BE WAITING A LONG TIME! Chipotle is popular so I understand lines can get long. HOWEVER, this location has a VERY poor system in place to keep things moving. The workers are not efficient whatsoever. If a particular ingredient has run out, they'll hold the line staring at each other until it gets replenished instead of taking orders from customers who don't want that ingredient. No one has a specialized task, so the tortilla "warmer-upper" will also prepare a new batch of rice or replace the steak. There is only 1 register to ring up pick-up and in-store orders which also slows things down. In-store/walk-in orders: wait 45-50mins Pick-up orders: wait 30mins I could've literally walked out without paying for my food since most employees are unorganized and don't know what's going on. This Chipotle is very poorly managed. They have too many food preparers and not enough cashiers which creates a long slow moving line. The food preparers rush to take orders and then there is only one cash register to process the order. Last time I was there, I counted six orders in front of mine waiting to be cashed. The food could barely fit on the counter because the cashier can't keep up with the orders which created a huge backlog. The manager of this restaurant should know that an assembly line can only move as fast as it's slowest part, which in this establishment is the cashier. Therefore, increasing the number of cashiers NOT food preparers will make this Chipotle more efficient. I work in midtown Manhattan where the Chipotles get very busy, much like this location. However, the wait is never 30-40+ minutes because they have more cash registers and therefore lines move MUCH faster. I'm pretty sure the slow service of this Chipotle impacts their bottom line because people are unwilling to wait on line that long. I saw several people walk off the line. Finally a Chipotle in Yonkers! Its a diamond in the rough unfortunately. Location is excellent but the seating layout is terrible especially for a place like Yonkers where people hate sitting near strangers and etc. Its always packed and you can never get a seat inside. The food is standard fare. The chicken is always BURNT at this location though i don't understand why. The carnitas are always fresh and by far the best meat option.. The grill is right behind the assembly line so you can see your meats being cooked but its way too loud and combined with the EXTRA TALL GLASS they cant hear you and they are very rude. Every time im on line people comment on the communication problem. Combined with the line that builds up at the register you cant even see your burrito being made. It definitely kills the experience. Im here several times a week because i love the food but they should fix these issues because its been turning people off to this establishment. The rye location is excellent i dont know how this one strayed so far but its only been open for a week so we shall see where this goes. Ill update this review in 6 months. read more

My daughter goes to college near this Chipotle and she and her friends ordered delivery yesterday. Her friends food came, but hers did not. So she called Chipotle and they said it was the delivery services fault and told her to call them. She called the delivery service and they said they had delivered it somewhere - probably- they didn't know where exactly, but a refund would be up to Chipotle. So she called them back and they said-wait for it-the delivery service delivered it somewhere - probably- so it was the delivery services problem. And so forth and so on. In the end she got neither her food nor a refund, but she ordered her food from Chipotle and she paid Chipotle. And Chipotle pays the delivery service. Really not nice to be ripping off college students. read more

I just ate here again. It was delicious! Don't forget to order online first. I do this all the time and walk in like a boss past the long ass line. Tell the cashier who I am and she is excited to grab my bag of food and hand me a cup for my beverage. I then fill my cup and walk over to a table right in the middle of the line and say EXCUSE ME, and then sit right down and stare at the people waiting on line as they drool over the food I am masticating as they gawk!
