    Frozen mango margarita
    Emmanuel P.

Had their amazing birria tacos, mind blown! Had no intention of eating anything else because (frankly) I was full. Decided to try their 5 mini tacos and it was delicious. Also had their guacamole and chips, fresh, made in front of us, and just yummy. Last but not least, had their mango frozen margarita, so happy. Was overwhelmed by the deliciousness and freshness of the food, the kind and welcoming staff, and the great drinks! First time here, but definitely not the last. I'll be dreaming of their birria tacos!

I have only purchased through Uber Eats from the last year. This month, I decided to go visit the restaurant in person to get a feel of the ambiance. The restaurant is a cute spot with plenty of space. I came in during a slow hour for in-person dining, and I got serviced by two lovely ladies. Each of them were attentive but not standing on top of me most of the service. I got the Westside Burrito with Guac. The Guac came fresh as one of the ladies made it next to my table based on my desires. I loved that! It's one of my favorite parts of Mexican restaurant culture. The food as always, is good and it is filling. Usually, I do not finish it in one serving. They gave me a box to take home and extra water.

The tacos were great. I went on taco Tuesday and this was def not a disappointment. I got chicken, Al pastor, and steak. Steak was my favorite. The green sauce that they provided was really good. The drinks definitely get you lit. Come through for happy hour.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Mexican food makes me wanna dance and Little Mexican Cafe has got a GOODT! thing going indeed. I had the shrimp nachos which I thought was a large portion size (obviously I had to share). Best authentic nachos I've tasted. I also ordered a flan but it wasn't in the bag so one star less for forgetting that. The nachos were very delicious. Will definitely try more dishes next time.

This place just cuts too many corners with their food. They don't send hot sauce and limes with their tacos even when you ask. They constantly raise their prices and then barely fill their tacos. At this point just a joke. Plenty of other places in the area that do a better job.

Food is great , music is great and staff is great !! The little Mexican cafe is little but the colors are vibrant and the murals and paintings are just beautiful . Great for a night out with friend or with significant other.

    Worst Avocado Salad Ever!!!

This avocado salad was the worst.. tomatoes and lettuce were old and avocado was brown. Toss everything out in the garbage.. never ordering from them again. It's ashamed that I live in New Rochelle and it was so disappointed.. Also the rest of the food was cold!!

However, I'm happy to report that I dined here recently and had a better experience. Since the time of my initial review, La Casa remained in my periphery - mainly because my parents periodically visited and it was a frequent stop of one of my friends who lives in Bronxville. That being said, I was curious to check out La Casa again - and that opportunity came when my mother chose here to celebrate Mother's Day. La Casa is located just off the main commercial strips. The interior is pretty spacious with a bar towards the front of the restaurant and the main dining room split in two sections. The decor is somewhat under-toned with a cool color scheme and tasteful decor. This is in contrast with other Mexican restaurants that tend to go overboard with the kistch and warm colors. I will say the seats look a little tired, they could use some re-upholstering - and were a little lower to the ground than I expected. In addition to the indoor space, they have an outdoor section which was done up very nicely. The brunch menu contained a selection of apps, sides, quesadillas, tacos, and sides. We decided to start by splitting a few apps: brisket and al pastor tacos, a quesadilla, street corn, chips and guac, and more guac with tuna. All the apps were tasty - the biggest standouts for me were the quesadilla and the tacos which were all generously filled and had good flavor. For my main, I got the camarones a la diabla which were shrimp in a red pepper sauce placed atop beans and paired with bok choy. The dish was pretty good - the shrimp could have been a bit snappier, but I appreciate that they de-shelled them and the sauce and beans worked well with them. Dare I say the bok choy was the star of the dish? It had just enough flavor and added a needed green. We opted for dessert, and I got the grilled pineapple which was paired with (per the menu) vanilla ice cream or guanabana sorbet. I wasn't asked to choose, and was served the sorbet. I would have liked to have been given the option, but maybe that's all they had - fwiw the sorbet was good. The pineapple was candied and came as a large, thick ring - definitely needed a knife and fork to cut it up (which they provided); this was a good dish in concept but I think it can be executed better. Service was good, everyone was friendly and efficient. In my experience, service tends to be the weakest component of a meal on a holiday, but they did a great job. Overall, I had a good experience at La Casa. Even though it's not in my backyard, I would definitely return if the opportunity presented itself.

This restaurant has been around for about…read moresix years, and I'll admit I had previously dismissed it because it's located in an outer strip of stores where Harmon and Bed Bath & Beyond once were. I truly wish I hadn't--because I was thoroughly impressed with the food, the décor, the service, and the extensive menu. There are so many dishes I want to come back and try. From the moment we walked in, the restaurant impressed us with its vibrant, themed décor and incredibly friendly staff who made us feel right at home. Warm tortilla chips with chunky salsa and glasses of water were brought to our table immediately after we sat down, which was a great start. They have a full-service bar, and while they don't offer frozen cocktails, we honestly didn't miss them. I had a coconut margarita, and my husband enjoyed a passionfruit rum cocktail. He doesn't drink tequila, so I asked if rum could be substituted, and they were more than happy to accommodate. He chose a Tajín rim, while I opted for sugar instead of salt. Both drinks were strong, flavorful, and served in really nice, heavy margarita glasses. We both chose specials from the House Special Grill, and wow--what a great decision. My husband had the skirt steak and jumbo shrimp, served with a creamy corn salsa, and he loved every bite. I ordered the grilled steak with sautéed onions, homemade tortillas, cactus pad (nopales), rice, and beans. Everything tasted fresh, authentic, and perfectly prepared. We ended the night on a high note with dessert--one of the best flans I've ever had--paired with a glass of hot Mexican coffee. Absolutely delicious. Amazing food, great drinks, welcoming service, and a fun atmosphere. Highly recommend!

The food is top quality and service is excellent. the restaurant is also quite well decorated for such a miniscule place. The only caveat keeping this review from being five stars is the price. Mexican fare is known for being hearty, large portioned and affordable and having now patronized this establishment twice, I can say it is two of the three. The lofty price tag will unfortunately keep me from becoming a regular. Still, it is a nice treat once in a blue moon. Good show, overall. Fare: 5/5 Price: $$$

The place was surprisingly busy and there were only 2 servers which resulted in slow and inattentive service. The menu is ambitious and interesting but the food tasted very bland. We started with the Asian ribs and jalapeno poppers. Both looked unappetizing. The ribs were dry despite sitting in a pool of sauce which tasted burnt. The jalapeno poppers looked like something I would make at home and tasted that way as well. My wife's burger was OK, although she ordered it medium and it came pink so she had to send it back. My pork mojo bowl was ok, but underseasoned as well. Surprisingly the mojo sauce was bland as well when it's typically bold and garlicky. Overall I don't get why this restaurant has such stellar reviews - the food overall was bland and looked homemade. I wouldn't come back.
