Worst experience at a bowling ally ever. Hour wait and went to buy a beer while waiting. Told by manager that my group cannot purchase alcohol because we were associated with another person who was drunk. My group and I had not been drinking. I will never be back, horrible management! read more

This place is without a doubt the worst bowling alley in the state. It's dark, dingy, and the lanes barely work. We ended up hitting the pin return 4 times because it would go down in the middle of the bowl. Our special needs cousin was unable to use bumpers because "They're too fragile". Meanwhile, Centennial lanes has bumpers that can support him, and a bunch of high school kids who throw the ball as hard as they can. As such, we were almost kicked out because our cousin ended up bowling the ball into another lane. Stay away from this place. Only good for the cheap prices. Nachos also made half of us sick the next morning. read more

Everytime you come here to bowl there is a league or special event and they won't let you in. Lame.

Never once have I had to create a yelp account due to poor service from a restaurant let alone a bowling ally. I was planning on going to chippers with a few of my friends to visit a worker who we knew there and play a few games of bowling that friday night. When we arrived all was well we got situated in our lane with good costumer service and got to bowling, however once i tried to order a batch of wings (which cost $16) things went downhill. I had placed my order around 7:30 and it took 20 minutes for someone to come out from the back and come to our lane to say that, "I never got the ticket". So after being frustrated with this I asked if she could have someone start making them and the response I got was, "yea, but I never got the ticket". She then proceeded to eye roll and walk away back to the kitchen. We finished a rather lousy game of bowling then had to wait another 15 minutes for the wings to be made. When the worker who had talked to me before came out with my wings she hit the top of the take out box and I quote she said, "Next time you be mean to me, i'm not making you wings. It wasn't my fault I never got the ticket." I am disgusted with the way this worker treated me and would definitely recommend revising her work ethic as I have personally worked in costumer service and would never, ever, treat a costumer how she had to me that night. I hated it, the place was terrible. First I bought a Groupon that wasn't that cheap $29.99 for 2 hours of bowling and shoes. I went with my wife, mother, and son. But even at $3.00 a game x 4(we only played 2)is still $24.00 + $2 ea for shoes= $32.00 so wheres the real value??? Anyways the lane we were given didn't have a one of the benches it was missing and not even taped off. someone can trip and hurt themselves on the brackets sticking out. It was hot, the A/C wasnt't very good. So we thought well cold beers would do the trick. Nope! the draft beer cost $5 for drafts, and thats domestic(Coors). And it was like drinking warm soup, not cold at all. had to put Ice in the Beer to get it semi cold. When we told the bartender(who looked 16)didn't offer to buy a round, refund or anything. So we asked for Bottles the second time. Well it appears they just don't serve cold beer here. So we were upset and again they did nothing to compensate or to make the experience better. Also the lane seemed like it had a slant to it, and the rack that kids use to bowl with was broke, and made my sons ball hit the gutter every time. Yeah, wasn't the best and shouldve bought the Groupon to Bowlero instead. Save your money, place is a dive and not a great place. read more

For being an old bowling alley it was still in good shape. This seemed to be a popular place among the younger crowd on a friday night, and that is okay, I would much rather see teenagers hanging out at a bowling alley than in a back alley. Anyway we had a good time, the staff was nice and helpful and the place was well a bowling alley. BUT....bowling is super expensive these days geesch, when we checked out I almost had to take a second out on the house to flip the bill. read more

Kids only zone! Saturday night & kids running around EVERYWHERE! No one was monitoring kids behavior & NO ONE was teaching bowling etiquette- more importantly! I would expect employees would discuss expectations w/customers or tell parents.. but no! Parents were drinking & just watching their kids go CRAZY on the lanes. If you want to have a good time bowling w/adults or older teens (we took our 11th & 12th grader)..STAY AWAY!! My son and i are visiting family from Michigan and they decided to take us bowling as my son loves to bowl. While we were there we had the WORSE customer service ever! The staff who was suppose to help us with shoes and lanes gave us an attitude when we told them we called ahead of time in regards to their specials and they told us it was "6 people max for an hour for 30$, shoes included." They then informed us that that isn't the special. Trying to be "easy customers" we just paid for the lanes and shoes. As we ordered food and drinks they gave us STALE ass nacho chips and charged us 7$ for a pitcher of TAP WATER! Honestly seeing as how much my son LOVES bowling and we go bowling pretty often,I have never had such a bad experiences and I WILL NEVER be coming back to Chippers nor will I recommend this to anyone of my friends who live in town. read more

We had a WONDERFUL experience at Chipper's Lanes for my son's 7th birthday party! When we arrived, a table was set for us with balloons, a fun gold crown for the birthday boy to wear, and a very cool birthday t-shirt all of his friends could sign. Rachel and Jessica were VERY accommodating to all of our needs with food, bowling, and laser tag, keeping the party running very smoothly for the duration we were there. Chipper's Lanes recently added full scale arcade and new age, cutting edge Laser Tag Arena called Planet_ChipTAR. They have only the newest video and redemption games including a huge wall of redemption prizes. The bowling & food are as good as ever and the selection of local micro-brews on tap is great. Stopped by and had the following issues with no interest from staff on making it right: 1.) Lane was not working properly, off on score and frame. Even after reset, it was not working right. 2.) Staff made me pour out my drink that I brought in. Threatened to kick me out and smelled it. I thought this was odd, given the condescending attitude. 3.) Carded everyone after the soda can issue, even though only one person ordered alcohol. 4.) when I complained about the issue with the lane they watched and targeted us after that. Not sure if it was a manager or what immature social issue that caused, but it was a solid example of the unprofessional nature of the staff. They never addressed the issue. 5.) unpolished lanes, gouged balls, dirty floors, broken machines, unprofessional staff. Rated a 1 because -10 isn't an option. Got out to the car, and there was a chippers bar glass under my tire. Beware! read more

My family has such fun here (especially my kindergartener), so it was a no-brainer that when the Coyote Ridge Elementary PTO decided to host a father/son event, we'd do it at Chippers. The staff were amazing (truly) - from the time I first reached out for pricing info to follow up the next day, everyone was thoughtful, responsive and attentive. Staff working the event were energetic and hard-working, and they made things so much fun with trivia questions for the kiddos to answer and win arcade cards. Laser tag was a HUGE hit with all the kids, and of course they loved the bowling, too. Their XL pizzas fed a huge crowd, which kept things affordable on our tight budget. And even though no parents asked me about it, they were careful to let me know that they were sanitizing bowling balls and shoes constantly, between each use. Which set my mind at ease during these uncertain times with the coronavirus pandemic! All in, a wonderful event and we're hopeful we can work annually with Chippers Lanes for more school events for years to come. Can't recommend them enough. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!! I take my 5 year old here and she LOOOOVES this place too!!! Staff is super friendly. Price is RIDICULOUS CHEAP (THANK GOD!) I hate gong to dave and busters or elsewhere to bowl and spend a fortune. Our family is a regular here and we always have a great night. Food isn't had either (their pizza's actually pretty good- my girls love it) which makes it easy for me. I would definately recommend this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

5 of us drove an hour to chippers to celebrate my sister's 23 birthday. The groupon never loaded but the staff was very kind and gave our party a discount so we could play anyways. We only played laser tag, but we played for 3 glorious hours til they about closed. Amazing. Sweaty smell but still grand. I would take my grandmother there. It was cool. There food isnt quality and the environment is not pristine when it comes to cleanliness, but eat before you play and youll have a great time. read more

The alley itself is pretty straightforward, nothing extra fancy or crazy. But I was very happy with the customer service we received. I booked a party with Shauna and she was fabulous. They were all very accommodating with everything we wanted to do. Somehow I accidentally booked our party in Greeley rather than Brookfield but it wasn't an issue and was handled with ease. The Greeley lanes called me to see where we all were and when I explained the mistake they too were very nice and easy going. Customer service is very important to me and greatly affects the type of experience I have. Just based on customer service alone we will definitely return. read more

Gave this place two tries and not good either time. Went in on a couple Sundays in July. We came in and no one was on the lanes and two workers were sitting at the bar, one playing on his phone, and the other watching TV. It took us getting to the counter and one of them finally acknowledging our presence. The guy got up with a sigh, asked us how many games and shoe sizes. Then he sat back down at the bar. Well I wanted to order food and bar drinks, so I went to my lane got everyone's name in and went to go order. Again, this guy gets annoyed that we are interrupting his phone time. We are done trying, I know it's only two times but the service sucks with this guy. read more

My kids really like this place. Arcade, bowling, laser tag and greasy pizza, what more could a kid want. And they have drinks to keep the adults happy while sitting there. I read some of the other reviews and if you are going to complain about someone googling your drink order.......you shouldn't be drinking in a BOWLING ALLEY......please. Great family place. The kids like the video games, laser tag and bowling. I am not into bowling, so I can't speak to the quality of the lanes, but the kids have a lot of fun. And all of the employees have always been really nice to us and patient while kids are trying to decide what they want to do first. read more

we paid for 90 minutes and left after 30. at least 3 lanes were counting incorrectly which means that when it was your turn you would start with 1 pin and then magically get a strike. both us and the people playing next to us accepted our games of Russian roulette scoring since when you would tell the women working the they just erased random scores and reset the pins, not attempting to fix any issue. one employee, a gentleman did try but to reset the cameras but that didn't work and we finally pushed to switch lanes which counted better but still wrong. when I said something the woman were very snarky. we were in very good mood up until that point but we had spent the majority of our time there fighting with the system, waiting in lines to have things reset and being shrugged off by who I assume was a "manager" and the others behind the counter so we called it a waste of money and left since we couldn't play an actual game anyways. I wouldnt recommend going here if you actually want to bowl. read more

This place used to be fun. We even had our son's birthday party here a few years ago. Now, the place is run down. We went with a small group of friends and received terrible service. We were the only people there and they were training a new girl, which was playing games on her phone when I went to ask for some help with our lanes. I didn't know if she was on break or still working. Then she was rude. I can't help but think if you are training for a new job, wouldn't you go out of your way to be nice to the customers, since we are the ones you are working for? On top of that, they place us in lanes where the keyboards don't work, the seats are just cushions - no vinyl, the balls keep getting suck and everything has to be reset. Then everyone's scores somehow got switched as they reset our lanes. The laser tag seems to be constantly under repair. I want to support Broomfield businesses but not when they obviously don't care about their customers any more. read more
