The avocado was barely chopped leaving a quartered avocado and a few tomatoes to use as a dip. Entrees were served in a timely manner. Two in my party ordered fish tacos. The corn tortillas were so stiff they wouldn't bend. Fish was adequate but under seasoned. Other two in party had a burger and a chicken sandwich. Both were disappointed. The fries were very good and plentiful. This was 8:00 pm on a Sunday night. They close at 11:00 so there's no excuse to have been served stale tortillas. Another star given for our waitress. We came on the 4th of July weekend so obviously the restaurant and bar were PACKED and we didn't think we would get a seat. However, we stood at the bar waiting to order so long that one of the bar tables opened up and we were able to sit there and ordered at the bar. Our food came out within 15 minutes. Really good place. We sat upstairs with a small view of ocean. The bar is really open and looks like a fun place to hang out. My wife had a lot of trouble finding parking & you will too. But manager/owner gave her a free cocktail to ease the pain. Solid beer selections as well. The lobster rolls were the highlight. Get those. Chips are too hard, need to be upgraded. Guacamole was good but they wouldn't give us salsa for free which I found annoying and petty. Food was served very quickly except for the pizza that one of us ordered which took about 10 minutes longer to show up. Pizza doesn't take that long to cook so something got screwed up there. We had a great experience here! Great views and food was good. We loved the snapper dip with the pickled jalapeños (they are HOT!!!). My husband got the Cuban sandwich with fries and I got the lobster roll with plantains. both of us really liked what we got! My only recommendation would be a sauce or something on the lobster roll. They give you melted butter to drizzle over, but some kind of aoli would make it perfect. They also should cut it in half for you. All around, we will be back!!! read more

We stopped here for lunch on an off hour as we tried to eat dinner here but there was no parking :( Thankfully when we showed up on our bikes the lunch crowd had left and there was no wait and we could sit upstairs! tl;dr cozy atmosphere, well suited to its location off the beach; much better quality food than you'd expect, and super friendly service. Chiringo is really as good as it gets for a beachside restaurant. They have two floors, with the lower one dedicated more to the bar, which I is long and warm and faces the beach through a cutout that hosts another, smaller bar outside and a third one off to the side. The bartenders are your basic supermodels--between them, the beach, and the passers-by, there is plenty to keep you amused downstairs. Upstairs is more of a dining room, and the food is seriously good. We had a peacemaker po' boy, which suprirised me when it arrived on a roll shaped like a big burger bun but with a chewer, much better texture. Underneath were fried oysters and huge shrimp atop full po' boy dressing. Whatever it may have looked like, it tasted great! We also had one of the crab and avocado toasts, which was surprisingly light but very tasty. Drinks can go from freshly squeezed alone to any combination you want with bourbon, vodka, gin, etc. And they really go well! The supermodels downstairs also know how to make a cocktail! The upstairs room is light and airy, befitting a beach location, and there are mini garage doors on the side and front that are made to slide above/below each other so they can open up two adjacent walls for the breeze. We arrived around lunchtime, so they were closed and the air conditioner was keeping it blissfully cool. Service was great, both upstairs and down. Everybody knew their stuff, top to bottom, and seemed able to smile through just about anything. There were a couple of smaller kids upstairs who were clearly working on their floor exercise routines for a future olympics and the waitresses maneuvered with equal grace around the bouncing and bobbing Gymboree crowd. Personally, I think they all should have gotten gold. We didn't have room, but the salted caramel popsicles sounded amazing. I'll probably just start there the next time we go. After telling me that the bar did not carry a common beach cocktail, he apparently thought it suave to flick me off and insult my alternate choice (I went with a PBR). Made our way to Chiringo while exploring 30A. So glad we did...this place is seriously great. The atmosphere is super relaxed and the food was good. I had the market fish sandwich (with a side of amazing mac and cheese - it's vacation after all) and my husband had the fish tacos with fried plantains. The best part of the visit was definitely the drinks. I had the Lancho - such a great summer drink (vodka, homemade lemonade and cucumber)...super crisp and refreshing. Hubby had a fun cocktail with gin and St. Germain that he really liked as well (I'm not a gin fan). The waitress let us try their new "frose" to test the recipe and it is good! Highly recommend it, but doesn't seem like you can go wrong with any of their house-made cocktails. Came in late around 9:30 for dinner. We were seated right away. The atmosphere is casual. The bar area is downstairs and majority of dining space is upstairs. Sat down with the menu and ordered an app (lump crab with avocAdo toast) and shrimp bowl (blackened). The shrimp bowl was delicious. The shrimp was cooked right and I can choose blackened or fried. The shrimp itself is salty but complements well with the Spanish rice, plantains, and Squash. It was a nice compliment of sweetness from plantains and squash to the saltiness of the blackened shrimp. The rice itself was bland. Avocado toast with lump crab- presentation was On point! So it was a little disappointment when I took a bite into it. First imagine cold lump crab mixed with tomatoes on top of thick toasted bread with mushed avocado. I almost wished they have it deconstructed to build my own. I also wish the crab was warm vs cold and skip the radish. Doesn't do anything to the dish other than add a little crunch. Service was excellent!! First time here and we were beyond impressed. Soo many fresh options, simple but delicious desserts, and unique dishes. We also had wonderful service. My husband and I both got fish tacos, I got the cucumber salad, he also got the AWESOME chicken wings. It was all seasoned just right, and the portions were good for the price too.
