We met a few friends here on a beautiful fall day.The Growler Garage is in the ground floor of a multi level mixed use building and even though it's located on the highway, you might pass it by if you are not looking for it. It's a great spot, fun decor. Limited indoor seating, outdoor seating available for all those perfect days you get in this area. They have a great selection of brews as you might expect! The server was professional and helpful in navigating the extensive selections. Even their "house" wine selections were very good not some odd unknown that merely checks that box. We had a great time with great friends, great beers and a great spot to enjoy both. Highly recommend. read more

So the location and atmosphere is good. But the service is not good. Tried a beer and it wasn't drinkable, gross. Not their fault. But they refused to swap it out for another beer. Pretty standard customer service anywhere else. Apparently the Owner's policy is to prioritize saving the cost of $0.50 for a replacement beer at the expense of losing a local customer for life. Bedside manner of the gal was pretty snotty. read more

What a great find. There is parking in the back, if available. This spot is right across from the beach with a very joyful vibe. My beer drinking friends wanted to go and checked in to find, yes, they have wine. I don't do gluten so it was wine for me. My experience at other beer spots is that the wine is usually less than enjoyable, but not so here. They have wine "on tap" and they are delicious. Check out this fun spot! read more

Loved the Crowler Garage. In a town short on brewery options they have the perfect concept. A nice little spot across the street from the beach with over 40 different craft beer options on the menu. You can either grab a growler to go or simply have a pint on their patio. Shoutout to the beer tender, each pour they give a koozy to keep your beer cold on a hot day, nice touch. They had Ghost Machine on draft, can't go wrong with that. Definitely a nice place to grab a drink or bring one across the street to the beach. read more

We stopped by after visiting the beach. This place has a very cool vibe and with 40 different beers/wines/ciders on tap, there's something for everyone. The staff is knowledgeable about the beers, and their website was up to date with even more information. Inside m, there are motorcycles, surf boards, growlers, tshirts and merch. The motorcycle tanks displayed on the wall were custom designed and painted by the owner. Beautiful work! They offer two different flights, a 4 glass and a 6 glass. A nice little spot right across from the beach. Public barking in the back, so that was a nice plus. They have several local beers on tap and even some from Indiana, where I'm from! They offer two kinds of flights. One with smaller glasses if you want more samples or one with bigger glasses if you want more ounces. We were in the mood to try several so we got the one with more samples. They had four sours from all over on tap so we tried those! We weren't disappointed. This is a cool brew stop near Walton beach on 30A with fun decor! Lots of 'handles' (40+) for draft beers and Ryan helped steer us with a few tasters to find a beer to our liking! Ended up selecting the Boom Sauce, a New England IPA with plenty of hops and a slightly citrusy finish - hit the spot! They've got a nice front patio with tables to sit and enjoy a cold one while watching people and cars go by, but the best part for me was to get a 'go' cup and walk along the beach around sunset time - that's my happy place! Growler's also serves a few food items, but we didn't get to try any of their apps, snacks, or a sandwich. But I think if the food is as good as the brew, it's probably a great spot for lunch or HH. Pricing wasn't quite like a bucket special, so individual beers ranged from around $5-7 each. They have a huge selection of craft brews. One of my favs is TAP# 32 - Lost Coast Tangerine. Mitch, the owner, paints surf boards, motorcycles, and helmets, and some of his work is on display. It's cool. Plus they have a nice patio where you can chill. If you're at Gulf Place or at Ed Walline Public Beach Access, and you need an ice cold craft brew, stop by GG. It's quench thirsting! It took me a while to warm up to this place.... almost a year actually. But now it's become one of our favorite "close-by places to just go have a beer" and nothing else. Cons (and why it took me a while to like the place): 1-It's very small. It has an indoor order-bar with a great selection of tap beers, but all of the seating (just a few tables) is outside. This doesn't always work well during bad (or extremely hat/humid) weather. 2-It's right ON the 30A in the middle of a tourist/vacation rental zone. so while you're sitting outside at your table you're literally just a few feet from all of the road traffic, exhaust fumes, drunk golf cart operators and other loud, obnoxious tourists. 3-Parking (there is none). 4-Tourists. Pros: 1-Good tap Beer with a large selection. 2-Awesom vintage/custom motorcycles on display (just a few....but very cool) 3-Cool custom surfboards along the west wall feature college logos from around the country. 4-It's small....I know, something that I've actually grown to like. 5-No Parking (a double-edge sword)...but seems to have helped keep some of the less motivated tourists away. 6-When the tourist season has died down you tend to run into familiar locals. and it's more relaxing and quiet. 7-Right across the street from the public beach (which has a restroom) 8-If you get hungry you can walk a few doors over to Shunk Gully read more

Craft beer to go while walking down 30A? Twist my arm, why don't you. 20-30 different craft brews on tap. There's no room on the inside so the idea is that you take your beer outside on the picnic tables or via glass or growler. Drink on the patio or literally just peruse down 30A or across the road to the beach with a glass of beer. I didn't know this was kosher until very recently, and it's very good info. What a perfect addition to the open-container-friendly 30A! We used the beach access across the street a couple times during our visit and noticed this place always seemed to be poppin' with people on the patio, so I'm glad we stopped by on our last day at the beach! First of all, the location is top notch. As I mentioned, it's right across from the beach access and is also next to Pecan Jack's and Shunk Gulley (two spots we loved during our visit). Since 30A allows open container, it would make a great spot to hang out while waiting for a table at Shunk during busy hours. We also had some neighbors on the beach who purchased some growlers for the day! What a concept! They had so many different craft brews on tap - a handful I hadn't even heard of! Our brewtender was awesome! She was so friendly and knowledgeable about all of their offerings. She let us try as many beers as we wanted until we could pick our faves for a flight or pint. I found a really nice, light IPA called boom sauce from lord hobo. It was perfect for the hot sun! My brother did a flight of 6 and the little pours were perfect to get a taste and not have to worry about the beer getting warm while we were sitting outside on the patio. The patio! What a great place to sit and people watch. There isn't any seating inside (that I recall) but the patio is the spot to be. People watching, whizzing by on bikes or walking by and unloading their vehicles to head to the beach. They have fans blowing and MISTERS! Holy moly, we were grateful for the cool breeze and mist. We noticed at night they had live music, so if we had had another night in town we would've returned to check that out. Highly recommend checking this place out when visiting Santa Rosa Beach. read more

A great find on 30a near Blue Mountain Beach. I can't believe it's taken me this long to come here, but I'm glad I finally did. Growler Garage is a small craft beer bar that is just down a ways across the street from Ed Walline beach access. Go inside and place your order at the bar and take it back outside to one of the patio tables and enjoy people watching and the view. They have around 40 different beers, and my favorite part is that they serve it in an ice cold glass with a large KOOZIE around it. I've never had this done before, and really liked that. The staff is extremely friendly, and go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. They are rather friendly in giving you samples too, so it's ok to try a few samples! I also noticed they have a small food menu inside and have live music as well. Overall, an awesome, cozy place to enjoy some beer and relax. I'll be back, for sure. read more

A local find on 30A that can't be beat! My husband and I have been looking for a drinking hole in the Santa Rosa Beach area, so we can avoid some of the crowds in the Seaside/Grayton/Rosemary areas. Not only did Growler Garage deliver on a unique craft beer selection, but the service was great! We enjoyed sipping on our beverage in a koozie-covered pint glass on their wonderful patio. The patio offers ample amounts of seating, with live music on the night we were there. The entrance is right off of sidewalk along 30A, almost directly across from the Ed Walline public beach access. Tried this place out on vacation when I was a little too burnt to go to the beach. Went in and got a couple of different samplers. Did not disappoint! The taproom is a really small pretty much standing room only area so the outdoor seating they offer is definitely a good call. The decor inside is cool- a lot of old motorcycles and motorcycle gear. They offered a pretty good range of different beers from IPA's to blondes, to some unique fruit beer options. Something for everyone to try! Def recommend trying the Ace Pineapple. It's a cider but is crisp and refreshing. We ended up getting a growler filled with Nicole Roadside and enjoyed every last drop of it! Would highly recommend this to tourists in the area! Only downside is their hours- not open past 8 so make this a fun rainy day activity or in my case- a fun thing to do when you can't go to the beach! read more

If you're in need of a break from the beach, this is a great place to visit with many local brews on tap as well as some national craft brews and some wines... Very friendly staff...only downfall is its flights and growlers only, due to Florida state laws...however as of July 1, 2015, they can now fill 64 oz growlers. The flight was a little pricy, growlers seem about average on price. Get your fix early. They are not open real late. Some very cool custom paint job guitars, surf boards, motorcycles and bicycles in the place as well! Check it out! read more
