A bar in the busy district of Grayton Beach with great views from one of the windows Crazy busy place this afternoon because of the spring break with kids of all ages Cuban sandwich was a bit smaller than the actual Cuban in South Florida but still ok considering the chef is not Cuban

The only happy customer I saw that afternoon

The food is of average quality (for this area, meaning the seafood is fresh and tasty and prepared as expected) but pricey for the quantity you enjoy. The environment is also just average, with some fun things for kids or adults to enjoy (corn hole, for example), but some choices are odd, like the fake grass on the second floor. The staff seem quite robotic and cold. We had an early supper (4pm) on a Tuesday, so I can't believe they'd be tired and they certainly weren't overwhelmed at that hour. Both hostess and wait staff were just meh, no smiles to speak of and little help with ordering or questions about the menu. Worst of all, nothing but beer available--no cider or hard kombucha, and the cocktails were uninspired. Overall, this is barely a three-star spot.

Nice place to sit outside with dogs on the patio. Drinks were pretty expensive. Service was quick, but it was also 11am on a Wednesday. Beachy vibes inside. Nothing wild.

Chiringos is one of my favorite places down on 30A! The bar is always busy, but the drinks come out super fast. The ambiance is so fun and there is always a party happening. The staff and bartenders are very nice and they also have great food options here as well

Came here on a nice Saturday with a beach of the view. Vibe was really cool with surf boards and beach items all around. Server was great, and attentive to filling waters and making sure the bill was right at the end of the night. Food was a mixed bag as I loved my Cuban sandwich as it was huge and delicious. Multiple people in my group ordered blackened fish tacos/sandwich and got grilled fish with very little taste. Maybe just an off night for the chef. Would be willing to give them another shot as it is a cool place with a lot of good options on the menu.

We came here early in the day and just grabbed a couple of beers - thought they had a decent selection. Then after being at the beach for a few we came back and sat down outside. Got the tuna appetizer ( DELICIOUS) and perfect for a hot day, 2 kids meals , a salad & a lobster roll. The chicken was probably a little overcooked but the kids didn't care. Lobster roll was perfect and came back a side of melted butter. I will come back anytime in Grayton!

Food - 5 star Drinks - 5 star Service - 5 star This was on my wife's list to hit and so glad we did! The wings were some of the best wings I've had in a long time! The lobster roll was fresh and so good! The shrimp tacos were also super fresh, and good size shrimp (we did grilled shrimp, I highly suggest it) wings were big and meaty, grilled and tossed in a light sauce. Savannah was our server and she killed it!

Great vibes here, recommend sitting on the top level deck, good views. Service was friendly and great cocktail options.

Chiringo is one of our MUST-HAVE, GO-TO's when visiting Grayton Beach. Everyone is so damn friendly and happy to have you. The Sand Wedge is my absolute favorite drink, hands down. The snapper fish dip is consistently delicious! And while pricey, the lobster roll is worth every penny. The vibe is so warm and welcoming. We love everyone at Chiringo! We ate here for lunch and the food was great! We had the fried fish basket, fried shrimp basket, and some fish tacos. Everything we got was delicious, although it was pricey. The bill was $75 on these three items plus an iced tea. The restaurant is clean and has eclectic surfer vibes and had a lot of seating on the first floor, second floor, and additional seating outside with outdoor games. The service was okay. I also did like that their fried items were gluten free and everything on the menu was clearly marked GF. It was nice to be able to eat fried fish and shrimp for the first time in years! There is a shuttle that will take you to the restaurant since there is no parking near the restaurant which was easy and convenient to use.

What to order instead of seafood.

    Ask the Community - Chiringo

    Is there parking available?

Yes, but pretty limited. Not a ton of spots there. However, if you can't find a spot there is a shuttle bus that will take you back and forth. It's about 2 miles up the road - very convenient.

    Is the restaurant Dog friendly?

Absolutely. They usually have a water bowl right outside the bar seating for them.

    Any vegan options?

Sorry for the delay, it may be too late since you asked a few days ago, but the answer is yes, there are choices.

Not that I have ever been to a real fish camp but a restaurant with fish camp in the name calls to me so my sister and I visited Stinky's for an early lunch. Stinky's is an awesome spot for lunch because you can get half of a salad and half of a po' boy or half of a po' boy with a cup of soup. I was tempted by those halfsies combinations but ultimately I went with a basket. Much to my surprise, the basket could be ordered fried, grilled or blackened. I went with blackened shrimp and they were excellent - perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. So many places and people (myself included) overcook shrimp but these were timed perfectly! The basket also included tasty, crispy, big curly fries and hush puppies. What's not to love about fried dough but the hush puppies weren't my favorite. Those shrimp on the other hand . . . I am still thinking about them! I am sorry I am not remembering our server's name because he was awesome and absolutely deserves a shout out. He was super kind, attentive and personable. He had my heart when we offered me a Diet Coke to go. I'd go back to Stinky's just for his hospitality . . . And those blackened shrimp. The atmosphere is very casual and it has its own parking lot. Next door is Stinky's Bait Shop which is a unique spot offering fish and tackle, coffee, happy hour and a casual simple breakfast. I look forward to returning to Stinky's - either the restaurant or bait shop, maybe both!

While waiting, we sat at the bar. I ordered a Paloma. It was tasty and the presentation was nice. However, we saw a cockroach in the straw container on the bar. We told the bar tender and she threw half the straws away. We told her she needed to toss all of them and she did. I couldn't finish my drink after that. The wait was very long. On the phone they told us it would be 20-30 minutes. It was 2 hours. They told us the reason was because another table was overstaying, which didn't make a lot of sense. Our waitress was rude. She was annoyed we wanted separate checks and was very curt. All of us were put off by her attitude. For appetizers, we got the edamame hummus, edamame, Brussels sprouts, and shrimp lettuce wraps. The edamame hummus was weird. It didn't have a ton of flavor and the wasabi peas and ginger on top were just strange. The Brussels sprouts and shrimp wraps were good. The shrimp wrap was probably our favorite app. For my entree, I got Sandor's ravioli. It was good, but not hot. The ravioli was handmade and very cheesy. The fish was perfectly blackened. Unfortunately our bride's steak was undercooked and she didn't want to send it back after the long wait and waitress attitude. I got the key lime pie to go and it took forever to get it. We had to ask another server to get it. It was amazing, but not worth the hold up after an already negative experience. We let the manager know about our experience and while they were very apologetic and offered us a discount, our experience was what it was and we had already paid. I appreciate their acknowledgment and offer to make it right.

I still didn't get my entree. I completely understand that it could have just been a bad batch, but ingredient issues are the problem of the restaurant and not the customer. Fried pickles were breaded in corn meal. They were crispy and tasty. Son got the spaghetti (linguine noodles) off the kids menu. Said he didn't like it because it had a weird texture. I tried it and the noodles were over cooked. Sent it back to be remade. Came back a little over again. He ended up not eating it. My wife got the triple tail (blackened) from the catch of the day. (Son also approved of the meal as he ate some of hers due to not liking his food.) Slight off smell when you walk in, but it fades quickly. (Could just be a me issue as I am hyper sensitive to smells.) Lights dimmed to give a nice ambiance, but then they sit you in hard metal chairs. Kind of confused as to what they are trying to be. Michael was a decent server. Really disappointed because I wanted this to be a great experience.

When we received the bill, it seemed higher than expected. Upon asking for clarification, we were told there was an 8% "packaging fee," which exceeded the local tax. This charge was not itemized as a packaging fee on the receipt--only listed as "8%"--and there was no explanation provided. Since it had been a long day and our order was already prepared, we chose to proceed with the purchase. What concerned us most was that this fee was neither disclosed on the website nor mentioned when we placed our order. We only became aware of it after questioning the total. Greater transparency would have been appreciated. If such charges were clearly communicated in advance, customers could make informed decisions. While we understand that restaurants operate with tight margins, unexpected fees leave a negative impression and ultimately influenced our decision not to return. We have enjoyed the food in the past, but at this price point, we would likely explore other options that we feel offer better overall value.
