This place is the real deal of good Thai/ Asian dishes. I even think she has one or two Hawaiian dishes on the menu. I had dinner this last Friday, and the Pad Thai was spot on. Everything that you order here will be Flavorful and Delicious.. If you go away hungry you didn't order off her menu. I remember when she had her place in Chatham plaza.. Her decor is tasteful, and her selection of Draft beer is small but very good. I had the Palm draft and it was a good choice with a good balance for the Pad Thai. Speaking for me only. Hidden gem! Stumbled upon this restaurant looking for Thai food (and didn't want to head downtown). Anyways walked in and the inside is so cozy. I've found my new happy place! The wait staff works as a team and greets you then seats you and you're served by everyone! Each staff member was knowledgeable about the food and told each about each different curry on the menu! This is the best Asian restaurant I have experienced so far in the Savannah area. I had the Panang curry and they made it nice and spicy the way I like it. The curry sauce was well flavored and creamy and enough of it to go with the rice. The chicken and veggies were good and cooked just right. My buddy complained about the portion being on the small side but for the price I thought it was reasonable. The have a limited offering of craft beers on tap but they were decent beers and not overpriced like most every place around. The tables are somewhat close together, but it is comfortable enough. From the reviews I was really expecting something pretty impressive, but alas, that was not my personal experience here. The restaurant is located a good ways out Victory towards Thunderbolt, which is fine--it's really not so far from downtown Savannah, it's a nice enough drive. The building is pretty small as is its interior dining room but the atmosphere is nice enough and the Thai theme is clearly imparted. However, the waitress I had seemed curt and disinterested during the entire meal. The curry I ordered, a standard red curry with chicken, was ok but really not very impressive. I cook a lot of Thai food at home and it was no better if even as good as what I could have prepared myself. I asked for a spice tray--at most Thai restaurants if you'd like to add some additional spices yourself, they'll bring out a spice tray with various dried and vinegared peppers and spices. The waitress did bring such out when I requested it but it was only two kinds of peppers--paltry, compared to what many Thai places will offer. So between indifferent service, a passable but not exciting red curry, and a mediocre attempt at a spice tray I just expected better. read more

Wowza, I had the tom-yum with noodles a couple weeks when I was feeling a tad under the weather. I asked for it "ghost spicy" and boy did they deliver! I'm brown so I'm used to being underwhelmed when I ask for things to be spicy. THIS WAS NOT A CONCERN HERE! The soup was wonderfully flavorful AND melt-your-face-off spicy. They did not hold back on anything and my sinuses/palate could not be more thankful! That being said, I've had a couple of their other noodle dishes in the past. The pad thai is alright (3/5) and the Chiriya's special noodles are pretty good (4/5). That being said, the star of the show is the tom-yum with noodles (5/5). I'd go back just for that. Other things: service is fine (not terrible, not great) and it is a tad on the pricy side but nothing ridiculous (entrees $11-$15 and beer ($6-7). read more

Dined here for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised! It was not very busy, but wasn't really expecting it to be on a rainy Wednesday. We started off with spring rolls, delicious....I could have ate about 5 more! I had the Kalua pig with cabbage and rice and my husband had the shrimp special noodles. I enjoyed the Kalua pig although for me it was missing one extra flavor....it was slightly salty and bland but still tasted very very good. My husband dish was out of this world good! I got the Pad Thai with chicken and spiced to medium, which was pretty hot but not too hot to where you had to stop eating. This is the same Hawaiian/Thai fusion place that used to exist over by the mall years ago. Same menu, same food, even some of the same staff believe it or not. I almost always get the Thai fried rice with beef here and I get it as spicy as they will make it. By Thai food standards, it is not all that spicy, but just enough to wake you up a little and get your nose running a bit. Anyway, they still have both the Thai and Hawaiian sides to the menu. So I went twice. First time I had June, wonderful service she was so sweet checked on me a million times she is the only reason I'm not giving 1 star. I came in a second time and my server didn't know what sauces were served with what. And or what was in the dishes other than her response "that has cabbage in it or I mean on the side" we're her exact words. She than proceeded to ask me how much money I made. Because I'm a server too. But either way, I can for a romantic dinner and instead she had to run back to the owner to answer her questions. The owner was so freaking sweet she did try and upscale us on things we didn't want. Like a $4 tea. That she said we could "taste" but than she brought out a huge glass of it and charged him for it. (But he didn't drink more than a sip of he thought it was gross" so we figured since he didn't drink it, or like it I don't know why they charged us $4 for it? Crappy customer service the second time around. And the food although delicious wasn't consistent. First time huli chicken, it was crispy brown crunchy skin, and moist chicken, perfectly cooked through. Second time ordered the same thing (huli chicken it was a lighter color, really pink inside. And I didn't realize till half way through. After we had our food the waitress didn't check on us. So by than I was upset and wanted to go leave. She made us our drinks, to go after 15 minutes of waiting for her to pack my food and get our drinks in a slow restaurant. I got impatient and walked up to pay, assuming that's were I paid. I had to leave my seat to come pay at a register like a fast food joint or a bar. Man really not worth the $70++ I spent. I had raves about this place to all of my friends. But now I will not be returning. My husband was disappointed. For sure since he's picky especially with Asian cuisine. Anyway... the service second time sucked. And second experience sucked. I'm a really good customer. And would've became a regular had my food been consistent. And my server been the same. I always tip more than 20% but that girl doesn't deserve my money. He'll naw. Olive Garden ? I should've went to Olive Garden and have them my $31 meal for two and left with phenomenal service hahaha and a nice $20 tip for my regular server. ‍ so mad. Best Thai food I've had all year. Wife and I live in Indiana and despite having options none hit the mark. When we head to new areas we like to try Thai and so glad we chose this place. This is my favorite place to eat in the Savannah area. We have been coming here for years and have never once been disappointed. The owner is super nice and remember me every time I am there even though I only get in every other month or so. We started eating there with my kids and they weren't too keen on the idea of Thai food so we ordered them the special noodle, they are a terriyaki style noodle stir fry. Very good but pretty basic. Best Thai food we have found so far in Savannah. The portions are very generous as well. We started with the fried spring tools which were very flavorful. My wife had the Shrimp Pad Ke-Mow (drunken noodles) and I had the Beef Thai Fried Rice. We both had a large portion that was presented nicely. The server was very friendly and attentive. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. My wife and I came to Chiriya on the first night of our honeymoon and it was the perfect choice. We started off with a grilled romaine salad. Who knew that you could grill romaine? It was tossed in a house made lime and lemongrass juice and sprinkled in parmesan cheese. I didn't think we would finish the big serving of romaine but it was so delicious we couldn't help it. I ordered the chicken massaman curry and let me tell you, WOWZERS. I am thoroughly impressed. The curry was deep and smooth, rich with flavors, and the vegetables (a combination of carrots, potatoes, green beans...) were also delicious. My wife got the pad thai with beef and that was also delicious. Plenty of noodles, sprouts, and peanuts. The sauce was not too overwhelming (you know how it goes, sometimes the sauce turns the dish into a big pile of mush). My wife also ordered the Hawaiian iced tea which was pineapple juice, lemon juice, a little bit of ginger, mint, and crushed strawberries. I barely got a sip in before it was finished. We would return to Chiriya and actually considered eating there a second time during our vacation. Overall, the food was delicious and the service was great, too. The server was very responsive to my shellfish allergy and made sure that the food would be safe for me to it. I find that this is rare in most restaurants. We were charged $3 to replace the white rice with brown rice which is not something I would do again and in general, the food is a little expensive but we have no regrets.
