    We usually order and have better luck with their 2nd ave location. We were unable to get the 2nd ave. on on Grubhub and placve our office lunch order at the 1st ave one. I got a pork souvlaki platter and a side of their potato salad. One of my co-worker ordered a chicken souvlaki platter. Packaging was better than their 42nd st. one. However, they did not label our orders even though we provided our names when ordering. My co-worker was surprised by how they sent him grilled chicken instead of souvlaki (but he liked it anyway). I felt my dish was too salty. Was not a fan of their potato salad. Wondering if Chirping Chicken is a franchise... every location does things differently.

I was surprised to find that it's a ghost kitchen. You walk behind the coffee shop and order from a kiosk with many other restaurants to order from as well. My order took 15 minutes and within the estimated time frame that they gave you. Once my order was ready, I clicked to open via text and the locker popped open with my bag --viola! I ordered the Claude the Claw ($18.99) with medium spicy sauce on the side. The sandwich is pretty huge. I like how they wrapped the sandwich around the claw sticking out from the bottom. I did take it out of the wrapper for the picture, but suggest you keep the wrapper on as it gets messy to eat. The spices and flavor is delicious and the chicken is crispy and tender. It's a great Nashville hot chicken sandwich overall. While the claw is insta-worthy, it's not quite worth the extra $4 (plus you can't really even eat it, so it's all for show). I'd suggest getting the claw for your first time, but I'd get the regular sandwich in the future for the lower price.

That said, the sandwich itself is great. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, and the spicy, smoky sauce complements it beautifully. It's a solid, flavorful sandwich that's definitely worth trying. You will need to decide for yourself if it lives up to the hype. A heads up, the place can be tricky to find. It's tucked inside a building behind the coffee shop that Google Maps directs you to, and seating is very limited.

For being in such a busy tourist area, everything ran surprisingly smoothly. The line moved quickly and our food came out fast and fresh. I was especially impressed with how clean it was. The staff stayed on top of everything, constantly clearing tables and wiping things down even though the place was completely packed. The only downside was how hard it was to find seating since it was so busy, but that definitely wasn't a deal breaker. The energy, service, and efficiency made it worth it. 10/10. The Raising Cane's in downtown Brooklyn is flavorfully and not salty. The food needs to taste similar at all the locations. The drinks and the food need to come out together. Someone needs to be at the door directing people that they can either go to register line or order at the kiosk. The merchandise bookshelves are in the way and too close to the door. People in wheelchairs and people with strollers need to be able to get in the door and maneuver safely. DJ Intern needs to go back to school. The music was a mess and wasn't a positive value add to the overall experience. Please get it together.

I went here a while back to order lunch for takeout, and it was pretty good. After they opened, they added some specials ranging from $15 to $17, combining chicken with fries or dumplings, and I went with the sweet and spicy boneless chicken with standard fries, as you can also update the fries to the "spicy snow" version for an extra $1. The cashier was friendly. The sweet and spicy chicken is their version of Yangnyeom/양념치킨, and the combo came with a few moderately sized pieces. The breading was crispy, and the chicken inside was pretty tender. There was some sweetness, and it had a mild kick, though it wasn't as spicy as I prefer. The fries inside were OK. They had a good crisp to them and a good crunch, but needed a tad more salt. The fry portion was also much larger, so next time, I would just stick with the chicken. The free kimchi was standard and decent. This was a perfectly decent Korean chicken spot. If it were any closer to a Korean neighborhood, I doubt it would be doing well, but there is a distinct lack of Korean places nearby outside of the primarily takeout spot, which doesn't specialize at all in chicken. It fills a niche, and I would likely at some point stop in again to try their Korean chicken sandwich or their plain chicken to try more of their sauces.

I still have to try the ramen, because I'm curious about the machine -see my photos--the machine helps you prepare your ramen sold in the colorful packaged ramen available in the shop. The chicken is crunchy, intensely flavorful, and carries just the right amount of heat. Each piece is buttermilk-brined, country-fried, and dusted with Sichuan peppercorns, Tianjin chilis, and five-spice, creating a combination that's spicy, numbing, savory, and deeply addictive all at once. But the menu goes beyond the famous fried chicken. Seasonal dishes rotate regularly, alongside standout chicken sandwiches and wings that deserve just as much attention. There's an energy to the food that feels modern without losing sight of technique or tradition. That balance comes directly from chef and founder Eric Huang. Huang grew up working in his family's Chinese restaurant while training as a cellist at Juilliard School before eventually abandoning music. After a detour studying history at Northwestern University, he committed fully to cooking and spent more than a decade training in some of NYC's most prominent kitchens, including Cafe Boulud, Gramercy Tavern, and Eleven Madison Park. As a sous chef at Eleven Madison Park, he was part of the team that helped the restaurant earn the title of "Best Restaurant in the World" in 2017. Like many chefs, Huang's plans changed dramatically in 2020 when the pandemic interrupted his ambitions of opening a Michelin-starred restaurant. Instead, he returned home to help save his family's struggling business. Out of that difficult moment came the dish that would define Pecking House: the now-famous Sichuan chili country fried chicken, reportedly perfected on the very first attempt. Pecking House succeeds because it combines serious culinary pedigree with food that's delicious, craveable, and unpretentious. The fried chicken alone is worth the trip and the long line.
