Stopped in at Chloez Cafe for a late breakfast on a Wednesday morning - arrived around 11:00 am. I was promptly seated at a table. After looking over the menu - I ordered a Western Omelette with some tweaks: Substituted Chorizo for the bacon and ham, added mushrooms and spinach, also ordered a side of bacon, and a cold brew. I did not see cold brew on the menu - I asked and my waiter stated that they had cold brew. I note that they have iced coffee on the menu - I hope that is not what he ended up giving me. Harder to tell once Half n' Half has been added. As others have noted - there is a beach vibe going on with regards to the color of the place - a big emphasis on a teal/aqua like color. Food came up in about 10 minutes. Presentation-wise - everything looked appetizing. I tasted the omelette - and then I added some black pepper and hot sauce to the omelette as I always do. The omelette was tasty; the breakfast potatoes were hot and the texture was on point; and the bacon was very good. The "cold brew" seemed a bit on the weak side to me - so not sure if it was iced coffee... I was not paying attention to the pricing - when I got my bill - it was $40 dollars for an omelette, side of bacon and cold brew. Seems a bit steep to me. They charged me $3.00 for mushrooms and another $3.00 for spinach. Service was good, and the food was good - but at those prices, I probably won't be back. Paid with Apple Pay. #ChloezCafe

This spot is cute and reminds me a lot of the breakfast restaurants you visit when you're at the beach. It is a good breakfast spot option if you're in the area. However, there are a couple things to keep in mind. First, there is always a long wait especially for breakfast given that it is a popular spot. I would advise that if on a time crunch, this is not the spot. On top of the long wait for a table, there is also a wait after your food is ordered. On this one particular visit, my party of 4 arrived around 12 noon and weren't seated until 12:20pm. There was then an additional wait for our food and it wasn't until 1pm that all of us received our food (all of us ordered the breakfast combos). We patiently waited for our food but noticed that there seems to be a lot of waiters/waitresses standing around, but they were all waiting on the kitchen. In addition, some of the pricing on the menu is relatively high. For a side of 3 breakfast sausages, it costs $6. There is also a credit card surcharge of 3% to keep in mind.

I visited on a Sunday morning around 10am and Chloez was booming. There was a long waitlist, but my party of two got lucky, as they had one two-person table available. Our server, Karen, acknowledged us right away. To start, we ordered coffee and Chloez's famous beignets, which come with a side of raspberry dipping sauce (they have another option, but I can't remember what it was). The beignets tasted fabulous though they were slightly overdone. Neither here nor there. For my entree, I had the daily special, which was an egg and chorizo bowl. The bowl came with black beans and avocado, and everything sat on a bed of home fries. The taste was great, but my only complaint is the bowl was mostly potatoes. More chorizo would've balanced out the other toppings. Despite this, every meal that came out of the chicken looked great, so I'd gladly try Chloez again.

Open | Chicken & Waffles | Popular Open The restaurant features a single, spacious dining area with plenty of seating. Although it stays busy, the noise level remains comfortable for conversation. The room is loosely divided into sections, but there are no physical partitions or walls separating them, creating an open and lively atmosphere. Chicken & Waffles The special Chicken & Waffles dish deserves a permanent spot on the menu. The flavor combination was excellent, though the chicken-to-waffle ratio felt a bit off -- roughly 3:2 (waffle:chicken). The plate came with three chicken tenders that varied slightly in size and a side of crispy home fries (small roasted potatoes). A great value for the price point. The main critique would be that they need more Chicken or better quality control on the size/quality of the tenders served. Ideally, you would have a 1:1 (Chicken:Waffle) ratio. Overall, a highly satisfying meal -- I'd definitely order it again. Popular This is a well-loved spot, and it shows. We arrived at 10:00 a.m. on a Sunday and waited about five minutes for a table. By the time we left at 11:15, the wait time had grown to around 30 minutes. Plan to visit during off-peak hours or be prepared for a short wait. Pro Tip - Ample parking available - 10% military discount offered

Chloez cafe is so cute! The inside is beach themed even though the menu is traditional breakfast and lunch, not a lot of seafood options. The benches we sat on were super hard and the cushions completely deflated, so that was the biggest downside as it was pretty uncomfortable. We ordered the specials - cinnamon roll latte, French toast latte, and chicken and waffles. The lattes were amazing (hard to mess up sugar and coffee). The chicken and waffles were good, even though the chicken could benefit from an upgrade in quality over the generic over breaded chicken tender.

I stopped in this morning with my daughters who were visiting from out of town. Ordered the avocado toast with the poached egg. It didn't look appetizing but I tasted and it wasn't good. The bread wasn't toasted, there was a pile of cooked spinach on top. There was some sort of seasoning that made it worse. The potato's that accompanied it was really dry. I would go back but never ever order the avocado toast again. My daughter didn't eat any of hers either.

Absolutely adorable breakfast and lunch place in Fairfax Station off of Ox Road. This was my second time coming here. I love their summer/beach deco theme. Our waitress this past Sunday was an absolute doll. Very kind and efficient. I didn't directly get her name but my receipt said Michelle S. Their prices are very affordable and I love their hot coffee varieties. Definitely recommend this place! Be sure to check them out! Friendly locally owned neighborhood brunch place.

Chloez Cafe is one of the restaurants that I tagged for my collections as must to visit. I loved the breakfast I had there today. Just like the pictures online, the food is and looks very appealing. The place setting is like a boutique cafeteria; and rightfully so, it was crowded. Therefore, I made my way to the counter. This was not a good move. As I approached the counter area all eyes, behind the counter, were looking at me. I asked myself, what's going on. I sat down and started looking at the menu. A nice waiter immediately approached and took my order. As I observed, there were too many school age kids behind the counter with nothing to do; so, they were not only watching me as I approached, they were bored and steering at all the guests. Now, the food was good, but, I sat at the counter and had to observe over and over again one of my pet peeves. I saw these bored kids unwrap folded napkins and prepared them to wrap silverware. This is the part that bothered me: one girl patted the pile of prepared napkins each time she walked by; another girl played with her ponytail, picked a nail and her face nose area, and continued to prepare the napkins; at one point, a guy joined them. They did all of this without gloves. I am a stickler for good hygiene and maintaining cleanliness throughout the food handling process. I can't say I'll be visiting this nice boutique restaurant again.

Ambiance was great. Staff wonderful, especially considering that we were there for a Sunday brunch rush. Food was regular breakfast food but didn't stand out compared to anywhere else.

7/10 Chloe's Café has a cozy, welcoming vibe--perfect for a relaxed brunch after church or a Saturday morning catch-up. The food is simple and straightforward, nothing to rave about but definitely reliable. I got the potatoes, scrambled eggs, and pancakes. The pancakes tasted like your classic mix-box kind--nothing special--but the potatoes were so good: super crispy and perfectly seasoned. The eggs were just standard scrambled eggs. Cheap for amount of food and server was understanding and kind. Overall, it's solid, dependable brunch food in an area that doesn't have a ton of great options. This is my go-to spot when I just want something easy and decent.

Chloez Cafe is a very cute spot off of Ox Road next to Los Toltecos near GMU! It has such a nice brunch vibes and the blue decor is so cute!! The service was good and quick, and the food was INCREDIBLE! I ordered the lox on a plain bagel and it was SO delicious. As a table we also ordered the garlic fries, which was a stand out for us. They also have mimosas, but the different flavors besides orange juice comes with extra charges. They have flavors like cranberry (so good), peach I think (which made it taste like rose) and pineapple (it was ok). The beignets were delicious and so fluffy! The extra sauces besides chocolate, were peanut butter and raspberry jam! They do come with an extra cost. Although the extra costs added up, it was very good!! I'd come back for brunch again!

The hostesses and servers were extremely kind and helpful. Some of the servers were too quick to take our plates away (it happened about 3 times). The interior was a cute beachy vibe! The food was great; we got typical breakfast items (the special was crab Benedict and it was delicious)! The coffee (iced vanilla latte) was too sweet for my liking but still good. We're all excited to visit again!

I was done after this. Chips were crispy and bland. No seasoning whatsoever. Sandwich... Ugh. No. Just no.

TL;DR: If the taste of the food was as jarring as the vibe, then at least the food would taste like something. I did find the chairs comfy, though. My mom wanted to eat here. I told her I didn't want to come, but hey. Sometimes you do shit you hate for people you love. There was nothing on the menu that appeared remotely appetizing. I remarked it was... The whitest of menus. And ooof, they couldn't even make a grilled chicken sandwich that didn't have the texture of mashed potatoes in bread. How could a grilled chicken sandwich just be mush? There's at minimum chicken! The menu claimed it came with avocado, but instead it was about one teaspoon of guacamole. These are not interchange items. If it's guac, call it guac. I did try some on its own. It only had a mild flavor of lemon. The lettuce was about a teaspoon of shredded lettuce. Onion was two small bits. There were maybe three rings of pickled banana pepper. This sandwich made a Wendy's burger look like a salad. The ONLY flavor came from the banana peppers. For real. That was it. Everything was so incredibly bland I wasn't sure I even ate anything. Also? The thinnest, smallest pickle spear I've ever seen in my life had taste. It came from a jar, but good for them, buying a decent jar of pickles. Chips were well made and crisp, but had zero taste. No seasoning, just nothing. Not even salt. I tried adding them to the mush sandwich for texture, but it still had zero taste so what was the point? The other day I saw a news parody about a white woman being rushed to the hospital after eating seasoned food, and I can only assume that fictional woman, Becky Blanderson, would love this place. The vibe was like someone desperately trying to pretend they are still on vacation. It was incredibly loud, and the super elongated menus are ridiculous. I would absolutely not recommend this to anyone I know, but if you like to eat food that sucks the joy and flavor out of life, this is for you! Personally I stopped and picked up a different lunch on my way home. Just crappy drive through. A million times better. Tasted like mediocrity, which is a bar Chloez Cafe can only dream to achieve.

Price for food that is plain.

There was plenty of indoor seating plus a few outdoor tables, so it never felt cramped. The only disappointment was that there were no free refills on the iced tea, which is what kept this from being a five-star visit for me. Today, June 26 I came in to get a couple of breads to take on vacation because there's not a great harvest near my relatives in Maine and they love the bread. Why don't I get two; she kindly put them in packaging and was icing them up a little more when two customers came in. one was shopping and one got in line. It was a matter of two minutes that I was in there, chatting with the older woman behind the register as she iced and put them in containers. Their space is still a nice rotational and you can enjoy the fancy or more normal bakery items as you need. Not quite at the top of my regional coffee shops but it is a good option convenient for the more third-space concept of needing places to idle with friends.

With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, this is the perfect place to catch up with yourself and enjoy a sweet treat. Pastry wise they are known for their fruit shaped cakes, dot cakes, and most recently their viral fruit ice cream bon bons. They also have a few savory snacks and pastries in a little case but that kind of felt like an after thought. My mango cloud matcha latte was light, airy, sweet, and fruity. Mango + matcha is an amazing flavor combination and I was a big fan. Unfortunately the dot cake was kind of a bummer. It looked really nice but all the sprinkles disintegrated as soon as we put our fork in and it had way too much cream cheese frosting. My favorite was the bon bon ice creams. $24 for a little pint that you can bring home. For the past week whenever I was feeling like I needed a boost, I would head to my freezer and omg it was the best! Crunchy, crispy, cool, with different flavored fruit ice cream inside. It was absolutely delightful. Place was buzzing but luckily the lines have died down so it's not impossible to grab one of their pastries anymore. Pair with a stop at the library for the perfect rainy day afternoon treat!

From the moment…read moreyou walk in, the warm, welcoming vibe just wraps around you like your favorite cozy sweater. The staff are genuinely some of the friendliest people I've ever encountered at a coffee shop -- they remember your name, your order, and somehow always make you feel like the most important person in the room. The coffee? Next level. Whether you're a straight-black-espresso purist or someone who loves a beautifully crafted latte with stunning latte art, De Clue delivers every single time. The beans are clearly sourced with care, and you can taste the quality in every sip. My go-to has become their seasonal special, and I look forward to it every single visit. The space itself is absolutely charming -- perfect for catching up with a friend, grinding through some work, or just enjoying a quiet moment to yourself. It has this rare quality of feeling both lively and relaxed at the same time. De Clue Coffee isn't just a coffee shop -- it's a community. It's the kind of place that makes living in Fairfax feel extra special. Don't walk, RUN to De Clue. You will not regret it!

I used to frequent this place in high school and was curious about it. Back then, my favorite thing to get was their open face tuna melt (not sure if they have that any more) and their famous pumpkin roll (which I didn't see at the counter, bummer). Ambiance/ interior is exactly the same from decades ago. Fast/ casual, kinda small with small tables and seats upon entering. When it's warm you can usually sit outside. I noticed they now offer online ordering. I placed an order online and picked up at the counter- quick and accurate. I ordered a plain bagel with extra veggie cream cheese (they didn't charge me extra), garlic bagel with chive cream cheese, and turkey sandwich on plain bagel with lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo. The inside of the bagels are nice and chewy, but the exterior had a crunch that I'm not used to. The overall feel of the bagel reminded me more of a hard baguette? I still enjoyed the food. I wasn't expecting the garlic bagel to kill a family of vampires. I love garlic but some of the bites were a little bitter so I mainly ate the bottom. I REALLY miss the pumpkin roll with sweet cream cheese filling. Please bring that back!
