Chocolate Bash opened recently where Endure Painting once was. Small building with renovated decor, serving counter & several tables for dining in. Soft hip hop music plays in background. Small parking lot next to business. Greeted soon after I entered. Place order with single person on duty. Got eats in under 10 minutes. Offerings: hot drinks, smoothies. Shakes, mocha, create your own crepe/waffle/ice cream, pan cake/mini pancake with choice of toppings. Fillings. Bites: extra crispy waffle (4.99) with Belgian dark chocolate drizzle (4.99) -full size waffle not very crispy, tasted soft. Belgian dark chocolate drizzle very liquid, messy to eat. -interesting & satisfying. Almost didn't finish. Decor kind of cute. Few patrons post noon. Only adults. 3.5 stars semi-worthy:YMMV quality: waffle could be crispier, chocolate less sweet Quantity: Ok *opens till 12 fridays & saturdays, otherwise 10. Nice break from usual fast food eateries. **10% discount for lst time customers.

This past Saturday was the grand opening of Chocolate Bash in San Leandro, with perks and giveaways all day, including a free gift for the first 25 customers, raffle prizes, and supposedly a 50% discount between 2:00-4:00pm. Sure, it all sounds good, but my experience was anything but. The environment was bright and welcoming, everything in brand new condition with a single all-gender restroom available inside. It's a fairly small space filled with tables and seating, and lots of pink -- the chairs, walls, decor, and more! I arrived around 2:30pm, and it took about 15 minutes to get to the front of the line. Then the wait for my order to be ready was about 40 minutes.... so almost an hour total. Service was insufficient, just one register for placing orders. And though there were lots of employees working, everyone appeared to be lost and confused, giving people the wrong orders and seemingly not adequately trained in good customer service. I do love the wide range of drinks and desserts offered on the menu. I ordered a chocolate milkshake, peanut butter bite, milk chocolate covered oreo, and milk chocolate covered strawberry (unfortunately no dark chocolate as an option, which would have been preferred). They advertised half off orders in the afternoon, but my itemized receipt showed that they only gave half off a single item, and they chose the cheapest item in the order to minimize the discount amount... pretty shady of the business, or the worker at the register was incompetent in applying the correct discount to orders. Either way I was not impressed. To make matters worse, they gave me the wrong drink, as well as a white chocolate covered oreo even though I specifically made sure, when ordering, that they had the milk chocolate available. When I told the employee that she gave me the wrong item, she quickly threw an extra white chocolate covered oreo in the box and said "to compensate", then walked away. Giving me more of something I don't like is unhelpful and unprofessional. As for the milkshake, the one they gave me was not plain chocolate as I had asked for. Instead, it was filled with shredded kataifi (which comes in dubai shakes), and I hate chunks of anything in my shakes! Plus, it was served lukewarm... eeew! I'm pretty sure they gave me some other customer's shake that had been sitting on the counter for some time. I was sorta disgusted at this point. I'm typically understanding of mistakes, but this was too much. And after already waiting an hour, I wasn't about to wait around further for them to fix things... so I ended up tossing both the white chocolate covered cookies as well as the milkshake, a waste of my money. The other bites were literally bite-sized, so small, which would be fine if they were of good quality, but nope they weren't. The chocolate shell on the chocolate covered strawberry was thin and cheap tasting, the peanut butter in the pb bite was mushy and overly sweet. Yikes, I never knew things could be so bad on opening day when most places are usually more prepared and put extra effort into making a good impression. Yet, I had such an unpleasant experience during my recent visit. Subpar service, disappointing product, terrible value. What a fail!

Crape too bad they charge extra for fruits and toppings and ice cream a lot .
    Laisha J.

Honestly mini pancakes were 10/10 The crapes were 4/10 the only bad thing is they charge a lot of toppings about 99 cents -$8 . Which I think it's . Wait time was about 30 mins . The people were so nice and place was so beautiful. For two things I spent $36 .

Crispy crape with chocolate and strawberry. I would got the crape soft next ttime.

First off, I love Chocolate Bash. I've been to the location in Sacramento, and their crepes there are delicious, so when I saw they were opening one closer to me I was so excited! Unfortunately, they didn't hold up to the name. The shop is small but cute. The crepe was... something. The strawberries and chocolate were good, but that's as far as the positives go. The crepe itself was tough/chewy, barely any chocolate on top compared to what they usually put. As I was eating it I was confused why it was so hard to cut through with a fork. I opened the crepe up until I realized they put the whole banana in that! Not sliced, not diced, not even minced. The whole thing. I took it home so I couldn't really complain in person. I also ordered the fresas con crema (strawberries with cream). I can't say much about the fresas con crema since I've never had it at any other location, but for the price it's really just overpriced whipped cream and strawberries, not at all traditional or inspired by it. I guess they took the name pretty literal. Lastly, the man helping to make the crepes was talking really loudly over the crepe machine and at one point blew on it? Service was good at least, the cashier was kind & informative, but beyond that they have a lot to improve.

Some of the strawberries were inedible.

I purposely waited a couple of weeks because I know it takes a while for a restaurant to develop a routine and adapt to customers. I went tonight and purchased the Dubai chocolate strawberries and it was a bit pricey but I thought maybe they use organic strawberries and premium chocolate. How disappointing the strawberries were cut and only the top portion was found and for about 4-5 strawberries, and there was only like 10-12 so some of it I couldn't even eat, there was hardly any pistachio cream, but the Kataifi was really nice. For almost $20 it was not worth it at all. The customer service was pleasant.

We came here on a non busy day. The inside is clean and neat. Have the halloween decorations and it's nice inside. The service was fast and efficient. The cashier even gave us the brownie Dubai chocolate samples. It was super sweet. The kids and i enjoyed it. Highly recommend if you have your sweet tooth. The price is also affordable. 5/5

Super cute sweet stop to try ! Love the variety they have as well !! I wouldn't say it's just desserts, than have plenty of options ! Great customer service as well.

Rude costumer service. I brought up my order was taking too long for simple Dubai covered strawberries. Mind you there was 4 employees back there just standing around not doing anything. When we walked in they didn't even greet us but made faces. After I asked for my order the employee making the crepes rolled her eyes and I let the manager or whoever that was in charge that isn't good costumer service to make faces at the costumers. Instead of apologizing she said "why don't you tell her youself" what a shame! Then the employee had the audacity to roll her eyes again! Don't come here unless you want to deal with bad costumer Service !

Dubai chocolate Brownie + Monster dubai chocolate

Service was nice! Accommodating with when to make ice cream (Had to wait for someone lol). The music and atmosphere isnt too much or too little with the foods matching their aesthetic perfect. Really enjoy their "Monster" dubai chocolate

It gives off such a welcoming, community-centered vibe -- like they genuinely want people to come in, enjoy good food and drinks, hang out, relax, and just have a good time. I was indecisive while ordering because there's just too many goodies to choose from and IK that can be annoying, but we had great service because the guy that took our order was patient and seen that my struggles was most definitely real . We ordered mozzarella sticks, popcorn chicken, curly fries, and two large Thai teas -- one with green apple jelly topping, which paired sooo well to me hehe. We don't eat out much because we cook at home nowadays, so when we do, we wanna enjoy the classics lol. It's actually really cool seeing how the place has evolved over the years. The very first time we came, the back area looked like this cute little library/study hall/tutoring/game/hangout room. Then a couple years into the COVID days, it turned into a unique snack and gift shop vibe. Now it's this awesome mini arcade/lounge setup with comfy seating, sports on TV, and really great food (savory & sweets) and drinks. And the food is SOLID. Even on my last mozzarella stick, I still had a cheese pull -- and it had already been at least like 20-30 minutes. That says a lot on the quality. What also makes this place stand out is the little acts of kindness. Part of their service is while we were already getting busy, grubbing, they randomly offered us a complimentary yummy, soft, and fluffy eggette on a stick with their condensed milk sauce, which gave me that feeling like how a love one would just randomly give something very sweet just because. I don't go out much anymore, but if I'm craving for some outside sweets and treats oh and almost forgot to mention how pretty affordable for the quality and portions we got for our meal, I'm def bringing my nieces n nephews here when they visit! I love the different chairs, décor, games, ambiance, food, and drinks! They keep everything so clean, neat, and organized at the station from where you sanitize your hands, grab your napkins, straws and condiments-- it genuinely feels like there's something here for everyone. You HAVE to find at least one thing you'll enjoy here!

We stopped by around noon on a Saturday and were thrilled to be seated immediately--which is a massive win for a weekend! Despite getting a table right away, the place had a great energy and was filled with people enjoying their brunch. They have plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating to choose from. The food and drinks completely delivered: * The Chocolate Bonus: My son ordered this, and it was a showstopper. A chocolate crêpe packed with strawberries, bananas, and Nutella, then topped with chocolate syrup and powdered sugar. This was hands-down one of the best crêpes we have ever tasted--absolutely heavenly! * Chorizo Omelette: My wife and I shared this, and it was divine. It was served perfectly warm, cheesy, and loaded with spicy pork chorizo, bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, and pepper jack cheese. * Mushroom Galette: Our second shared item was a savory buckwheat crêpe filled with mozzarella, sautéed mushrooms, and red onions, all topped with a gorgeous sunny-side-up egg. Another really good, flavorful dish. * Ham & Eggs: Ordered by my daughter, this came with a side of home potatoes and garlic toast. It was a solid, decent option that rounded out the table well. The Drinks & Service We ordered a Vanilla Latte and a Caramel Latte. Both arrived extra hot and featured some beautiful art on the foam. The vanilla latte in particular was exceptional--honestly one of the best we've ever had. To top off a wonderful meal, our waitress, Jocelyn, was incredibly nice and attentive throughout our visit. I definitely recommend Le Palais Sucré if you're looking for a fantastic spot for a family brunch or lunch. We will absolutely be back!

My partner likes the BBQ one. I often get the Hawaiian one, sometimes the Sour Cow, or the Tuscan. The Big Belly is really big, with lots of ingredients. The crepes are usually served golden into triangles, which makes them easy to carry. No utensils needed. There's usually to less cheese than I'm used to from other locations, but it's not bad. Note: We usually get ours To Go. The apple caramel dessert crepe arrives cut up into squares, which was surprising. Normally the plain chocolate one we get isn't cut up. This resulted in a bit of a mess when my partner didn't hold the container flat me time. Service is so-so. Definitely order in advance if you can, or you may wait a bit. Ambiance is terrible indoors. Only a couple of small tables and more of a "pick up at the counter vibe." They have a nice outdoor seating area though, if the weather is good enough for it. Parking is usually decent if you park in the lot right next to the restaurant. It's sometimes easiest to enter that lot from Walnut, the street parallel to Laurel, though. You get to it from Olive, going around the back of Bianchini's. The outdoor seating areas and proximity to Bianchini's market make parking on Laurel a bit dicey. I tried the round waffle things once, and wasn't that impressed. Seemed a bit dry. Keep meaning to try the gelato but never have. And I don't drink boba tea, so I can't comment on that. They do stay open later than the other nearby boba place though, so if that's your cup of tea (ha!) then it's an option later in the evening. A solid place, if not the best crepes I've had.
