Truffle class in the chocolate lab!!!
    Jodi M.

The Chocolate Lab is located inside The Hershey Story building. It is essentially a commercial grade kitchen where they offer classes and different chocolate inspired workshops. The weekend we were there, they were offering a "truffles" class. For $10.00 each, we were able to participate in a 1 hour class, complete with materials and instructions. The chocolate ganache was made in advance for speed. Each station had all of the items needed to dip, decorate, and transport our bag of truffles. We rolled, dipped, decorated to our little hearts content. As the truffles cooled in the refrigerator, the instructors gave us a crash course on Milton Hershey himself as well as broke down the different parts of the cacao bean, chocolate, coco butter and coco powder. There were groups of all ages in the Chocolate Lab, couples, young adults and it was nice to see that they were so accommodating to the families with small children. We had a group with two little kids around 4-6 years old and you could really tell how much they enjoyed being in the kitchen. This is a high-tech facility complete with steel work stations, hand washing stations, and complete kitchen, a few large screen TV's and is made of glass so the other patrons of "The Hershey Story" can see what is happening inside. The instructors were really nice and as most Hershey, PA residents... know their chocolate.

We had a great time at the chocolate lab! We all learned something we didn't know before AND got some amazing chocolate treats ;) super affordable and offered several times a day. If you are on the fence- do it!!

Great for all ages and what is great you get to take home your creation. You are now a maker of chocolate.

I met an old friend to catch up on our most recent adventures. It was a Sunday morning. Tables turned over several times in the three hours we chatted. The place was always busy. The staff kept the stations clear and clean between guests, and there seemed to be great coordination in the counter and coffee staff. We were left to ourselves, as this is a place where you order and pick up in two locations. There is no table service except to deliver food. While the inside has limited seating, the patio offers extra sunshine spots when the weather cooperates. My friend enjoyed her coffee. I found the food adequate for the price. This is Hershey's prime real estate strip, so paying more for basic fare is expected, but not impressive. This was made up for by the hustle in the staff's attention to cleanliness and processing orders. Lisa's feels like a caffeine refueling station more than anything else. It sits in the middle of several dining options, all within a quick walk. It is convenient for a quick recharge during your visit to the Hershey Experience but not a spot I would plan an event or even a hearty meal. Still, people commented that they come for the beverages even if there is no drive-through option. Parking is convenient behind Chocolate Avenue.

The café has a warm, inviting atmosphere with beautiful local artwork that creates a relaxing dining experience. The breakfast sandwich was fresh, flavorful, and reasonably priced. The frittata was hearty, satisfying, and generously portioned. While it was just a little heavier on the pepper than I personally prefer, it was still very enjoyable. The highlight of our visit was the gluten-free, vegan strawberry matcha cinnamon roll. It was incredibly moist, delicious, and packed with flavor--one of the best gluten-free pastries we've had. It's refreshing to find a café that offers healthy options without sacrificing taste. If you're traveling through central Pennsylvania or simply live in the area, this is a wonderful alternative to the chain restaurants that dominate the highways. Whether you're looking for gluten-free, vegan, or just fresh, wholesome food, Down to Earth Café delivers. We highly recommend this café and will definitely make it a stop on future trips through the area.

I ordered avocado toast and a cookie butter smoothie, both were delicious. I paid about $15 for both, which was a bit on the expensive side, however, I did enjoy them. The service was great and the food came out with reasonable time. I would definitely return.

Located in downtown Hershey blocks away from the amusement park. We parked on the street on a Friday morning. The restaurant was busy but not packed. I usually order the breakfast tacos which are corn tortillas with avocado, chorizo, cheese and pico de gallo. With a side of black beans. Sometimes the corn tortillas are soggy but not this time! Crunchy and held together well for the stuff goodness that they had to hold. Absolutely delicious! My wife had the avocado toast with a side of scrambled eggs and love it as well. They had honey corn bread minis so we wanted to try them as well with a jam spread and butter. They were really good. They don't take your bill when you're ready to check out. It's a QR Code on the receipt or you need to take it up to the register. All in all, we really enjoyed this place. If you're in the area and want some fresh foods, they'll have it.

I got the classic omelet and asked for a side of spinach since I don't eat meat. She literally gave me 10 pieces of spinach. I would have though it would have come cooked. On top of that, they charged me $3 for that. I could have bough an entire bunch for $2. They are way too packed and cannot handle the business for park weekend traffic.
