I feel like it could have had maybe another slice of cheese, but it was fine how it was. I did like that they cut the sandwich in half and then grilled the cheese in the center so it wasn't oozing out. Tomato bisque 6/10 The flavor of this was tomato-y, but a bisque is supposed to be creamy and velvety and this was pretty chunky. I wouldn't call it a bisque at all. read more

Visited here on a Sunday for brunch during a work trip, last meal in Hersheybefore heading home. I Google local breakfast spots, this place came up and had good reviews; it was worth the stop. I was seated immediately, the restaurant was 80% full. My server was attentive. I ordered the lox platter with a side of the hash brown casserole; both were yummy and filling... I ended up taking some home with me. I love that they have a coffee station, they had 3 coffees to choose from, I tried 2 of them. A cute spot that is family friendly. read more

This place was awesome!! We got the Rueben and Racheal. I'm picky with bread and this bread was spot on! Toasted perfectly and not too thick. It did come with fries - I prefer crispy fresh cut fries over frozen . These just seemed to be a tad undercooked. Maybe just cook a little longer to brown:) The seasoning on the fries was great! This business moved from Palmyra to Hershey. It's a unique concept because the space is shared with the Bentley Bakery. I stopped in for the grand opening. The menu looked enticing. The server brought me water & asked if I wanted something else to drink. I told her that I was still deciding on what would go with my lunch. Hot or iced coffee, iced tea, or soda. She didn't come back for over 15 minutes so the hostess took my order. I had the overstuffed Italian wrap which was mostly shaved ham. It was made with shredded cheddar cheese, which was odd with salami & an Italian sandwich. While the non-gender bathrooms were clean & nice, it is odd that the doors open towards the gift shop/lobby area. Patrons need to be cognizant of closing the doors when they leave. Nice parking area but it did get full. The one thing that I noticed, single diners were sat at the two tables near the door rather than in the main dining room. Parties of 2 or more were directed to the main dining area. If you order from the bakery, you pay for your purchases at their register. If you order your "savory" food, you pay for it at their register. I'm not sure how it works if you order dessert with your meal. It's a little confusing with the two businesses where one is full service and the other is cafeteria style. read more

Met a friend here to catch up on several years. It is in a great location between HersheyPark and the Outlet shopping center. The cafe is clean and well-lit with pretty decor and an attentive staff. On a Saturday late morning, it was busy with couples and trios filling the tables. The small parking lot was almost full. There is a bakery on one side of the cafe with several amazing-looking options. I was seated quickly and took some time with the select menu options. The prices seemed a bit steep based on the menu descriptions. However, when I started to look around at what others were being served I realized that these dishes were being prepared by a skilled kitchen. The small number of offerings meant they could focus on perfecting each dish. I ordered the French Toast Bagel & Egg sandwich with hash brown casserole. I don't think I've had a tastier breakfast sandwich in the Harrisburg area. I had to eat it like a platter because the bagel is coated in a sweet glaze of syrup but it was the perfect mix of salty and sweet / crunchy and fluffy. The casserole was not overly seasoned and quite delicious. My friend reports that the baked goods she took home were remarkable. We stuck around catching up on old times until the place closed at 2pm. We never felt rushed and there was always space for a steady stream of new customers. It felt like a place where some folks had made it a regular, quick stop before or after shopping. Yes, the price is a little high for what you think you're getting, but the quality is excellent. They had to brew up some fresh tea for me and it wasn't anything special, but then I order unsweetened tea which is usually bland on purpose to bring out the most of the flavors they add, so I'm not too disappointed by this. This was quite the surprise. It's not something I can justify paying for on a regular basis, but it is certainly a place I will bring clients and good friends when I want to catch up and enjoy a memorable breakfast together. read more

I've heard good things about this place online, so I thought I'd give it a try. The parking lot is very small and a bit cramped, but I think they're a new establishment and it can't be helped due to the location. Inside I was immediately impressed with the décor; everything was festively decorated for Christmas and it gave off a warm and cozy feeling. There are about 10 seating areas and a cozy nook with a window-facing bench and a few comfy chairs. There's a self-serving coffee station, but you can order a signature coffee. I got the salted caramel and, while the size and appearance of it was appetizing, I felt it was watered down and I couldn't taste any caramel at all. I thought the staff was attentive and accommodating. I ordered the Greek yogurt. While it was tasty, I feel it serves better as a side dish; it was served in a small cup and I was almost afraid it would spill out. The fruit carried most of the flavor, though I got some vanilla notes at the end, and there was no honey on it as advertised. All in all, I'll give this place another shot as it's a decent eatery, but I'm hoping for a more flavorful experience next time. read more

My wife and I went in the early morning just as the cafe opened. The decor is quite inviting, and the place is impeccably clean. The staff was warm and friendly, and seated us immediately. We helped ourselves to the self-serve coffee bar. I went on to try two of their coffees - their delicious breakfast blend and a tasty "Brody's blend" reportedly named after the owner's son (consisting of an infused hazelnut + caramel + mocha blend). They also had pumpkin spice available. There were a few specialty coffees available to be ordered apart from the coffee bar, if interested. I ate their perfectly crispy and chewy French toast with a side of sausage. The French toast dish was picturesque; it is clear they take a great deal of care in their presentations, that are very sophisticated and simple. I felt almost bad digging in and ruining such a beautiful dish ... until my first bite (yum!). The sausage came as patties that were perfectly crisped, and quite, (you guessed it) savory. My wife ordered the French toast breakfast sandwich which comes with a side of home fry casserole. She barely managed to finish the sandwich, but judging by her facial expressions it was quite delectable. She remarked that the home fry casserole was deliciously cheesy, though she ended up having to take most of it home in a to-go box. On our way out, we stopped at the stunning bakery to take a few treats home, including a macaron, some kind of chocolate-covered peanut butter cookie ball, and a cream puff. They also had a number of other goods including freshly baked bread, scones, cupcakes, and beautiful canoles (that I regretted not buying one, if you can tell). Well... I'd like to say you get what you pay for.. but this place is simply over priced. So far I've tried a variety of items.. salads.. fries.. baked goods.. and coffee. Nothing stands out about any of them, and with the price, I just don't see myself returning. I also found the raspberry vinaigrette to be a bit off putting. A bit "perfumey". However I will say the service is excellent!! 10/10 on the service. And the place is very clean and and welcoming. They also offer some cute gifts. If you are simply looking for a place close to the Hershey Outlets to sit and enjoy your time while you eat, I DO recommend checking it out. And hey, maybe I'm just ordering the wrong items! Our family has visited savory before and it was great. Not sure if there are new owners or what. Today we went around 11 and were asked if we minded waiting for the kitchen to switch over for lunch. Of course we didn't mind. Well, that should have been our clue! My husband wanted to order a salad and I wanted a BLT. The menu described the BLT with fresh sour dough bread and I asked for the bacon to be crispy and the server said 'of course'. 35 minutes later our food arrived. Husband salad looked great. My sandwich looked slightly burnt, the bread was greasy (not 100% sure it was sourdough, definitely not fresh) and the bacon was mostly raw and flimsy...yuck! The server finely came back and I showed it to them and asked if they could remove it from the check that the sandwich was not good. She asked if she could bring anything else. I politely declined (never send food back). Another lady came out from kitchen and informed me they had looked at the sandwich and asked me what was wrong with it and I shared. She shared that they grill all of their bread like grilled cheese unless you ask for it not to be. Well, there's no way a customer would know that?! So we get to the register and the sandwich was not removed from the bill and the poor server said 'did ''she' not inform you that that is her policy?' What policy? That we have to pay for food that was not as ordered or requested or represented? I have worked in restaurants and dined in many and I know a struggling restaurant when I see one. On vacation in Hershey and looking for a place to breakfast before heading to Hersheypark. We found good reviews for this place and don't doubt that they have provided good dining experiences for others. Such was not the case for us today. Ambiance: it is LOUD. Echo-y loud. Don't plan on having pleasant conversation with those at your table. Food: 1). Couldn't eat the scrambled eggs. No idea what was up with them. the taste and texture were so off. we've never had scrambled eggs like this before (thank goodness!) 2). Some of the food order was wrong (due to it being so LOUD that the waitress couldn't hear our order correctly) 3). Bacon - ehh. Threw half of it away. 4). Specialty coffee drink ( creme brule iced coffee "tastes just like the dessert!") didn't actually taste like anything more than an ok iced coffee with some caramel and creamer - and really lacked a flavor punch. Service: Staff was friendly BUT... 1). We all had to ask for silverware and napkins after we had already been served our food 2). We had to ask for a plate because the pancakes our son ordered were served to him on a cutting board which was kinda awkward. So they brought him a plate but it had dried food on it. So we had to flag them down to bring a clean plate. (Additionally, my spoon wasn't really all that clean but I just wiped it off and soldiered on). 3). Our meal was almost over and they still hadn't brought my wife her toast. When I asked for it they did bring it several minutes later - but they provided no butter and offered no toppings! We actually asked for the butter just to make a point but we were honestly so done by this point. The staff is pleasant and friendly. I bet they get it right for most people most of the time.
