We walked by this on the strip in Gatlinburg and Hubby was craving ice cream so we stopped in. I liked that they had candy and ice cream and a very large variety. I wasn't as impressed with the customer service. Hubby asked what the "cake batter" ice cream tasted like and the reply was "uh... cake batter" with an eye roll. Well guess what... he ended up getting it and it actually has other stuff in it too. He did like it which was good. The check out employee also seemed a bit put out with having to help. Based on this experience I wouldn't come back.

Stopped in to check out the distilling place next door and saw this one so had to check it out. Very bright and open space with lots of colors and things to attract attention, primarily of children i'd guess. A wide variety of items to choose from and perhaps we'll go back and select some other items next time. We got some ice cream and it was good. I've had far better ice creams at a far better price, which is why this isn't a higher review, but it was good. I'd like to go back and try some of the fudge or maybe the apple variations. Potentially that would bring the score up, but I did definitely find it to be a bit overpriced.

Never heard of Chocolate Monkey, but my friend had and she wanted to grab a couple of candy apples to bring home with her. She said she'd had the apple pie ones and they were really, really good. I sent photos to my son, and he chose the one with sprinkles and chocolate drizzle. I thought it was a little expensive for one apple, but when I finally got it back to Florida and my son, he chopped it up and served me a chunk, and it was so good I wish I'd gotten three more. My son also loved it...my son loved that they used a green apple and we both thought it was so fresh, sweet, and delicious! So now I know what a Chocolate Monkey is! They did have other sweet treats like ice cream, fudge, and truffles, but I'm looking forward to more candy apples, and I'm happy I discovered tonight that they ship!

We ordered one Carmel apple from this place while passing. One of the workers grabbed our apple for us and motioned for a manager named Shanda to help us at the register. She rolled her eyes and walked back deeper behind the counter. Another worker also got her attention, and after rolling her eyes a second time, she rudely rung us up. Horrible service from her and I could only imagine if she was a manager to me.

Chocolate Monkey is awesome. You can find them all over Gatlinburg, including this particular location at Ober Gatlinburg. Here you can find just about any kind of sweets you can think of: ice cream, candy, caramel apples, fudge (which you can sample for free!) I got some of their chocolate covered strawberries, which were super delicious! You can get them covered in white, milk or dark chocolate. Their prices are pretty fair and the people who work here are super sweet! Worth a stop in!

Fun, fun, FUN store. Enough sweets in here to make you wanna buy the whole store. Worth stopping by and grabbing some fudge. You may eat it all before you get to your car.

This place was nothing fancy, just a typical candy shop. The ladies that helped me were polite. This place is a bit overpriced, but it's on a touristy strip so my pecan Carmel apple cost me about $10 which I think is a bit ridiculous. The Carmel apple itself is huge, the apple was fresh and tart, Carmel was smooth and soft and pecans were good as well. They also offered to cut it for me to-go which I thought was nice and convenient

Dropped in to get some sweets , and the counter person was so nice and friendly. Young and deeply grateful to our military personnel and veterans. The sweet were so good, spent way to much. Worth the stop, we will support any business supporting or military. Thank you

A chocoholic's paradise. Chocolate is one of my favorite things so of course I wanted to go. The store is located right in the middle of the strip so it's not hard to miss. Also it's the only place that has a kiddie ride right by the door so it's very different than many of the other stores. Right when you walk in, the first thing you see is all the different candy apples. each one is decorated beautifully to the point where you don't even want to eat it. They also have truffles, ice cream and candy. I tried the chocolate covered strawberries and the chocolate covered cheesecake. Both were very good. I've never had food from Chocolate Monkey that was bad. The biggest reason why I always come back to Chocolate Monkey is the people that work there. Everyone that I have met has been so sweet and really take pride in their work. I visited two different times and I luckily got to see the same people. The shift lead remembered me from the first visit and she gave me a discount because of that. How sweet is she? Even though some people may think Chocolate Monkey is a typical candy store, but I think it's a lot better. If you are looking for something sweet, try Chocolate Monkey!!

Fudge: All sorts of flavors for any craving type, white chocolate, dark chocolate, swirl, with peanut butter, dark chocolate caramel swirl, cookies and cream --- also non chocolate flavors like lemon meringue and orange swirl. Assorted chocolate treats with a variety of nuts. or if you like things covered in chocolate, caramel or virtually any other sweet offering they have candy coated apples, pretzels and cherries. Also, tons of truffle flavors to choose from. Ice Cream with flavors that you won't find just anywhere, nana's banana pudding, lemon cheesecake bar, and classic favorites. If you're looking for a sweet treat then, this place has got to be top on your list. Also, we got two different covered apples, an ice cream and a couple truffles. Total cost was under $15. Also, they will slice up your apples for you before you go, making it much easier to share (if you actually have any intention of sharing with anyone).

I thought this store was cute but a little bit expensive as well. I really like that there was a ride for my son to go on.

We've done the tasting multiple times over the years, and it never gets old because the hosts bring so much personality, humor, and energy to the experience. The jokes, stories, and interactions are always a little different, which keeps it fresh and fun. This past weekend, Trey really knocked it out of the park! One thing I really appreciate is that they regularly change the tasting menu, so there are always new flavors to try. The tasting itself is an incredible value at just $5, and the wristbands can be saved and combined for discounts on purchases. I brought two wristbands from a trip over a year ago, combined them with the ones we purchased this visit, and ended up getting a bottle of moonshine basically free, I only paid the tax! They've also added a new option where you can pay an extra $5 to choose three specific flavors you'd like to sample up to two additional times, which is a great addition. We also checked out the speakeasy-style bar tucked behind the store, and it has a fantastic atmosphere and is definitely worth a visit if you're looking for a more relaxed place to enjoy a drink. Every staff member we've encountered has been friendly, welcoming, and entertaining. Our personal favorites are the sipping creams as they're absolutely delicious and worth taking home. We picked up their new Churro flavor and love it! If you're visiting Gatlinburg, don't miss Sugarlands. It's one of the best values and most memorable experiences in town.

I visited with a family group of 10, and from the moment we sat down, the experience was outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, quick, attentive, and made excellent recommendations that helped everyone decide what to order. Despite the size of our group, she kept drinks filled, checked on us regularly, and made sure everything came out correctly. The food was exactly what you hope for when looking for a hearty country breakfast. The griddle cakes were enormous, light and fluffy with a rich buttery flavor that soaked up the syrup perfectly. They had a slightly crisp edge while staying soft and tender in the middle. The Big Breakfast Platter was massive, loaded with eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, and grits. That will say the first batch of grits that they gave me were horrible as they were clumpy and kind of cold however the waitress easily fix that and replace them with a hot bowl of brown sugar grits that I enjoyed completely, other than this Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and anyone who ordered eggs over medium were cooked just right The biscuits were some of the best we had during our Tennessee trip--large, flaky, buttery, and soft inside and out.. Whether eaten on their own or with gravy, they melted in your mouth. What impressed us most was that every single person in our party found something they loved, and everyone left completely satisfied. We were tasting everybody's food and still left with no one finishing their plates because The portions are no joke here. In fact, my only complaint is that there was so much food on my plate that I couldn't finish it all, and had to throw it away before heading home because it was a 3-hour ride back to the house so If you're visiting Gatlinburg and want a memorable breakfast with generous portions, great service, and delicious food, Crockett's Breakfast Camp is absolutely worth the wait, and it is a long long wait. sometimes..
