Read on... If you've ever eaten a chocolate bar, you'll be interested to hear about Chocomize, a company that allows you to build your own custom chocolate bar online. You have never had a bar until you make your own. Look, I am a big fan of milk chocolate fan, so when people rave about this place, you know I had check it myself. You can choose from milk, dark, or white chocolate, and then add up to five additional components, selected from a dazzling assortment of fruits, nuts, spices, candies, and other goodies. I am a big fan of almost anything milk chocolate, fruits and almonds so my custom bar was not difficult at all. It was an exciting process to know that I am creating something that is worth eating. I didn't mind the price tag. Now Yelpers, the pricing of the bars depends on what ingredients you choose. The plain bars is about $3.85 and then the toppings range from $.25 for some spices and seeds up to $3.95 for gold flakes. You may get a little crazy on your first visit, so is ok, because you deserve it. I felt like I was at Wonka hidden factory. You know what, call me Wilkie Wonka. Ha! After creating your bar, you have to hide it from your kid(s), lover, pet, and best BFF. If you don't, poof it will disappear instantly. Positives: - The choclate they use is very good. This is the only thing that kept me from sending it back. - Wide variety of toppings. Negatives: - They are definately toppings. The add-ons are simply layed across the top of the choclate bar. I would have preferred toppings mix throughout the choclate. - They were too stingy with the smaller sized toppings like the coconut flakes. I could barely taste them. Their webiste says that they provide enough toppings on the bar but I seriously felt it was lacking. - Some toppings are too large sized, like the hazlenuts. You get a bite with a whole hazlenut and a little bit of choclate and then five bites of just chocolate. It would have been better if they chopped the hazlenuts and spread them throughout the bar so that each bite could be a good combo of chocolate and hazlenut. read more

Chocomize, Thank you for your outstanding customer service!! Yesterday I posted my disappointment with their Milk Chocolate promotion, as they advertised it would be available til the end of the day. However, since I live in CA the promotion ended 9pm PST. With no disclaimer that the promotion would end EST, I was extremely disappointed. As I felt that this is not right nor fair to their West Coast customers and placed a complaint. Chocomize responded promptly with outstanding customer service. Choocomize helped make (*cough* save *cough*) my anniversary! Long story short I needed a quick anniversary gift, and I called up Chocomize. They went out of their way (LITERALLY!) to get my wife some much needed chocolates. They were courteous & professional & I highly recommend them for your special day or friend. Luckily she brought some home. I have to say the chocolate truffle eggs were awesome. Really big & soft on the inside. I also had some of the bacon set, which was pretty nifty. I ordered from their online store and everything was FABULOUS. I placed my order last Friday for valentine's chocolate for my Fiance, and a fun treat for my mom for her birthday. When checking out, it said it would arrive on February 15th. I didn't mind, as I knew I was ordering a bit late for Valentine's! However, much to my surprise, all of the chocolates arrived today, February 14th! AND they arrived very early in the morning, avoiding the heat of the day. I am absolutely blown away by this prompt service, and how delicious the chocolate was (It looked wonderful, tasted wonderful, and put smiles on everyone's faces. I've ordered a customized marshmallow box (with pictures) for my husband's birthday and our anniversary. I've ordered customized food with imagery before from different vendors (M&Ms, chocolate, cookies, etc) so it became our kind of thing. But I will be honest, I was truly disappointed. First of all, the marshmallows themselves did not taste so good (and how can you possibly make it bad?), but more importantly the quality of images was so POOR! It was embarrassing to give it to my husband. The pictures were blurry, distorted and some of marshmallows were broken from corners (they come in square shape). Even though it was not very expensive, I still thought it would come out very pretty (considering it comes in a very cute little box). I have not tried any other products from Chocomize, and I've heard good reviews but please be considerate about the custom sweets! read more

I'm torn with my review for Chocomize. The service is outstanding.... but I didn't find the actual product all that good! I placed an order not too long ago and the personalized service I received while making requests was fantastic. We had many back-and-forths by email and I was very happy with the attention I was given while trying to make a specific order work for a party. And then when I had a minor complaint afterwords (more like an observation), I was responded to with polite thanks and notice that they'd pass along the message. Their customer service absolutely exceeds expectations. But I'm sorry to say I didn't actually like the chocolate! And right off the bat, I'll suggest that maybe I don't have a taste for Belgium chocolate and it's just a preference (I don't know that as a fact, but I'm just guessing, as my go-to is usually more generic brands). But as soon as my delivery arrived, I picked the best looking bar and had some, and it just wasn't all that fantastic. It was ... fine, but nothing special. At $5-$10 a bar, I was expecting exceptional. And then I did have a few complaints that the chocolate tasted funny to some of my guests as well (but to be fair, others loved it). The packaging is beautiful and you can see all the toppings right through the wrapper - definitely a wow factor if used as a gift. My recommendation is to order one and try it to see if you like the taste of the chocolate they use before ordering in large quantities. read more

i used to love this website. buying a photo-print chocolate bar was always an affordable gift i could rely on that people seemed to love. i tried to buy one today and found out that these are no longer an option. and to rub a bit more salt in the wound, the company is now for corporate gifts ONLY, with craptastic "minimum number of orders" that would leave me with a hole in my wallet. screw these guys for shelling out to companies and forgetting about normal people. read more

I am picky about chocolate and was ecstatic when I tasted the first bar (cherry with pecans in milk chocolate) - amazing! Then I noticed that you use Belgian chocolate - that must be the key! What a great experience I had. O how fun it was "designing" and "creating" my very own candy bars! Their websites offers a user experience that simply can't be matched. Having ordered my bars in the summer I was very worried about the heat. Yet, to my surprise, the bars arrived in pristine condition. How very nice it was to see they took the time and effort to ship my bars with icepacks and a cooling liner. I have gone from skeptic to customer for life. Thanks again! read more

I work for a non profit and we ordered 1200 dark chocolate bars for a Dec 2019 Holiday event. We were given incomplete deadline info, but finally ordered and were promised delivery by the date of event. We were then told that the custom wrappers had all been mistakenly printed with the incorrect ingredient info for a milk chocolate bar. We decided to go ahead and use the wrong wrappers to make sure we did not hold up the order. Just one day before the items were supposed to be delivered Chocomize told us they would not make the delivery and we had to cancel the order. It was too late to make any other arrangements or order from anyone else. While Iria at Chocomize was helpful during the process and then very apologetic, we were disappointed by Chocomize's failure to deliver the order, and especially by the extremely late notice. With a 2 day shipping deadline, Chocomize knew late Tuesday that they would not be able to ship Wed morning (and so would not make the delivery) but waited until Thursday, the day before delivery) to inform us... too late for us to make other arrangements. I bought a bar online for my husband's birthday a few years ago. I love the selection of toppings and the quality of the chocolate! You can customize a bar with either white, milk, or dark chocolate, and add your favorite toppings. Everything from nuts, dried fruit, cereal, bacon, marshmallows, snack items, cookies, different types of candy (I added pop rocks), and even edible gold flake are available as toppings! Of course the final price for your customized creation depends on how much/what you add. The add ons are TOPPINGS so they are not added into the chocolate bar, which can be kind of a bummer, but my husband said he enjoyed his. And at the end you get to name your chocolate bar which adds a little bit of fun to the end of your creative adventure. Shipping price isn't too bad, and it arrives decently fast for it being made fresh when you order your bar. I would order from them again! read more

The chocolate was good enough but the toppings weren't. if I had to buy the chocolate without the toppings then I would have bought it at any regular store. What attracted me were the topping selection. I ordered 2 chocolates one with raspberry and pecans and other with walnuts. Sadly, few walnuts had turned bad on the chocolate itself. The toppings were simply laid on the bar. They weren't cut into decent sizes and spread across the bar. So when you have a raspberry part, all you get is a whole raspberry in your mouth and some chocolate. Same with other toppings. Suggestion : Cut the toppings in decent sizes and spread evenly on the chocolate bar so we can enjoy a combination of fruits and nuts in every bite. read more

I must live under a rock as I didn't hear about this site until I saw a Groupon for it. I used it to get a few candy bars for the hubby as a gift and since I had a little credit left over, I got myself a bar (prices are really reasonable). I had white chocolate & lavendar - YUM! The bars are fairly large, so I shared it with some co-workers. We're all fans now & playing around with what other combos to try! I will say that the goodies are only stuck to the bottom part of the bar, not melted throughout the chocolate, but that didn't change how good it was. I just hope the bacon bars go over as well on Christmas, but I'm sure they will :) read more

I ordered from Chocomize a little while back and my bars came really quickly. They tasted amazing and the fact that I was able to put any ingredients I wanted on the bar made everything even better. I have recommended to my friends and I will definitely buy again from them. Once you have a chocolate bar from Chocomize, no other bar will come even close to tasting as good. I had a terrible experience with Chocomize. I ordered their customized marshmallows. First of all, they were not delivered even close to on time, and the quality was TERRIBLE! I picked very clear pictures and they were smeared and blurry! Even the designs from Chocomize that you could put in turned out messy. It looked terrible, I was mortified to see what I had sent my SO. Their representatives were not at all understanding and placed the blame on me. They would not let me get my money back but then finally offered to pay shipping. I contacted them twice about this and they NEVER refunded the shipping costs. Terrible product and terrible service. DO NOT BUY. Plenty of better companies out there read more
