BUYER BEWARE! I would highly recommend searching elsewhere for a vehicle purchase. I just bought a van from this place and should not have. When I test drove the vehicle I noticed the heat did not work. I told them I would buy the van if they fixed the heater. They agreed so I made the purchase. Trusting that they had fixed it as agreed upon, I took the van on a road trip only to find mid way through, the heater was not fixed, which most likely lead to the coolant issues that left me stranded in the desert. This place is the reason for the shady car salesman stereotype...think Harry Wormwood from the movie "Matilda"-type shady. The truck I bought here needed new spark plugs two months after buying and three months after purchase, the engine started shutting off in the middle of driving. Stoplights, highway, anywhere...the engine would just shut off. No check engine light to be seen. Seriously. I was sold a car with a failing transmission and when I told them about it they looked over it said to drive on it till it goes out. Wow Absolutely not it is not okay or safe or in anyway to drive like that. I had to pay 2 different places to be told I need a new transmission. See past the act because that is all there are good actors who will take advantage of anyone for money. Now I am without a working car with three disabled children I'm not sure how these people sleep at night doing what they are doing to people. Went here to look at a truck. De De our sales person was friendly, people seemed nice. The vehicles they have are rough. We did not buy here, but if you need a cheap vehicle might try here. They are priced high. Not sure how the financing works here as we didnt find what we wanted. Would have given higher rating if the vehicles would have been in better shape. read more

I read the bad reviews before I drove 2 hours from Pueblo to see three vans. I had cash to pay for any one of them. I looked at all three, then I was going to test drive them. I drove the first one and to my surprise I really liked it. I was going to drive the others as well but when I wanted to drive the third one, George, my salesperson said, "Well you didn't like that one a minute ago, what's changed?" He was snotty. I was really surprised. When he tried to start it, it was dead. I told him I really like the first one and that I wanted to take it to a mechanic for an assessment. Not allowed at this place! They will only allow someone to inspect it on the premises and gave me a business card of some inspector. He didn't even want to put it up on the rack, saying, "I don't want to stop my guys doing what they're doing." He asked what I wanted to do and I said, "Leave." And I did. The car did not start, battery needed a jump which also means replaced, no air conditioning, needed 2 new front tires and breaks were close to needing replaced. He said it was priced to sell. Well no thanks then, Im not paying top end when theres hundreds or more worth of work to do plus tags and title. Livid right now, bought a car back in January, its taken me some time to get it ready to pass emissions, repair the broken belt and seized a/c etc. so I go to get the plates today, when I get to the DMV they say they haven't received any title paperwork as of yet. I call the lot and get Dave on the phone he said his greeting and I said hello, he said he was with a customer, I told him that I appreciate that but I am at the DMV and they say they have no title work from you guys on the truck. He stated that he didn't do anything with the titling and that to just tell them that they would get the paperwork over to just give me an extension on the temp tag. The lady at the DMV told him that since it has been since January and they have yet to receive the paperwork that the most they could do was issue me a three day permit and since they cant have them expire on the weekend it would be void at the end of today since it was a Friday. She told him that she needed to have him fax over a letter it could be hand written if needed stating why they haven't gotten the paperwork over and how soon they would receive it. Dave made some comment about being with a customer and the lady at the DMV said well you haven't taken care of the one that is sitting in front of me. After she handed me back the phone Dave said he would get the letter over so I could get the temp tag and that George Jr just walked in I asked to speak with him since he was the one who originated my sale and completed all the paperwork. It didn't go well... I was told that they have sold hundreds of cars since my purchase in January and that I had just slipped through the cracks. That the only help I was going to get was going to be from him or Dave and that a letter wasn't going to be sent in time because they were busy with other things. When I asked for George Sr I was told that he was on a trip to Vegas and wouldnt be back till Monday. I reminded George Jr that I had honored everything about the contract and that they hadn't kept their word or commitments. I also told him that it felt that my issue (my truck getting towed by the city for expired plates) wasnt significant enough to even get any action from them. I was then told I could come to the office on Monday and settle up with them that it would be at least a week for them to get the title in and basically there was no help on their end to fix the issue. Needless to say I am waiting for a call from George Sr on Monday at 9 to see when he can get the title down to the DMV so I can get it plated and legal to be on the streets. If my purchase and patronage isn't enough for them this will be the last purchase I make from them. read more

Got a used car here and had them fix spark plugs because they were almost non existent. Drove off lot and had to get it towed to a mechanic a week later because it stopped turning and leaked all power steering fluid. Ending up having to replace lines on car, get timing belt and water pump replaced, flush out then refill power steering, additional $1600 on car. Mechanic said this was leaking before buying. Looking for certain type of truck and saw them all over craigslist. I get there the salesman is very nice, but the owner kept chiming in and was a jerk. It was funny because I had cash and the truck I was looking for is not a hard one to find. The prices were on the high side which I figured out after visiting other dealers and some laughed when told them I went to Choice One. The owner had no professionalism and I did not feel comfortable buying from them most of the trucks had been dogged and his prices were not competitive. I was disappointed by my return customer experience. I was told I would be given a good deal and when I got there the vehicle I looked at (knowing it had some blemishes) turned out to be a half crashed up polished turd. I made my offer and was disrespected and treated appaulingly by George the owner. Lee was very helpful and I appreciated his efforts but because of the unprofessionalism and piss poor attitude of the owner, I will never deal with or recommend Choice One Motors to anyone. We just purchased a truck from George at choice One. We were very happy with his knowledge, the price, and the truck that we have. George and his Son Junior took care of us all the way along. They intended to replace the battery, but it just was charged. The next day after the purchase, the battery was dead. I had to go get a new one. I called George and let him know. DO NOT BUY HERE. DO NOT TRUST THIS DEALERSHIP. How they are still in business and have not had there dealers licensed yanked is beyond me. This dealership talks a great game but is pure pot lot. George Sr and Jr Kathy and Dave are crooked as a horse shoe. David is a horrible mechanic. By far the worst mechanic I've ever dealt with. This dealership knowingly broke the law selling me a truck and after trying to talk with them about making it right they told me to f off. After filling a complaint with the dealer board they still didn't make it right. Repairs were subpar and incomplete. They held my truck for two weeks for a days work and in retaliation for my state complaint they switched out performance parts for low cost aftermarket. On top they damaged the grill rear bumper and gouged the paint on the side and returned a truck that had a full tank empty and with nearly 600 extra miles on it. My son purchased a car thru them. Not a week later it had leaked all the anti-freeze out and overheated. The cause was a slow leak at the hoses. I brought this to the attention of Dave Osborn who was the person my son had dealt with. He stated that there was no way it was leaking when we purchased because it took so long to leak out. Again, it was a SLOW leak. We asked if they would assist in the cost of the repairs. They declined. We had other work done at the same time. We did not expect them to help with the other work. We were not asking for too much. I have been in the Automotive Field for 35 years. If this had happened to one of our customer at ANY of the dealerships I had worked at they would have offered some type of assistance. I guess the places like this does not value a customer! I would not recommend ANYONE buy a car here. I talk to a lot of people who buy cars and I will tell anyone I know. Sorry, Dave, we gave you a chance to help, but alas, the answer was no. read more

Wow, what a terrible experience! Dave was awful! I was prepared to pay cash for a vehicle. I had my mechanic hook up a diagnostic scanner to do a test that the salesman agreed to and he flipped out. He clearly has no knowledge of the mechanical issues of any of the vehicles. Front left shock wasn't even connected and drive line is shot, not to mention the entire floorboard is rusted out. I'm not sure this place could have had less customer service if they had tried! A friend and I arrived, cash in hand and ready to buy and were quite blatantly ignored. We parked in front and walked into the front part of the lot-no one came to greet us so we looked around and waited, still no one came to help. We walk inside to talk to someone but were greeted with an empty office but figured someone would come in after hearing the loud alarm telling them someone was there but nope, no one came in. So we walked around the back to look at the rest of the vehicles and find someone to help us. When we walked back there, there was 1 other customer who was being helped by a sales guy and another sales guy walking inside. That one did say "Hi! How's it going?"....as he quickly kept on walking never asking if we needed help and obviously didn't care because after walking around the rest of the lot, he had still never came back out. We were actually interested in 2 vehicles that didn't have prices so I asked a guy that seemed to be working there but he wasn't in sales and went in to tell someone we needed help. We stood there for a few more minutes waiting for help and NOONE EVER CAME OUT TO HELP US!!! I like to have time to look around on our own as much as the next person but this came off as rude. I would avoid them due to this because if they were this apathetic towards people that practically BEGGED to be sold a car, who knows what else this car lot doesn't care about read more

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE HERE!! WARNING!! THESE ARE SHADY BUSINESS PEOPLE. i was looking for a car for me and my family for sometime and was wanted to pay cash, great right. NOT! i ended up here (big mistake), The guys sold me a car that they promised was functioning fine. A day or two later after buying the vehicle it just stopped functioning. The car wouldn't start. I figure any car dealership selling a vehicle should be in function order. Well apparently none of the cars on this lot are. I took the car back and the owner wanted to charge me for the repairs. After much back and forth i caved and just paid him to repair it. So the car was running again, only for a bout a weeks time and again, left me on the side of the road. i took the vehicle back one more and this time i wanted the dealer to cover the expenses. They mentioned they would look into it and call me back. A few days later they call me and let me know it needs some engine work and they wont cover it. At this point i am frustrated i went to a car RETAILER to buy a vehicle that is functioning. Further, the OWNER starts yelling at me over the phone, threatening me saying i should go over there so he can take me out back and kick my a**. in disbelief that a business owner would talk to a consumer this way. Even though frustrated i remained very professional over the phone while he screamed profanities in my ear. I go to pick up my car and its in pieces. They didn't even put it back together after diagnosing what was wrong. i towed it to my house as is and that's were we stand. DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THIS JUNK YARD! THE OWNERS ARE SCUM! they threatened me with violence and have no sense of what it is like to provide good service. With time this business will fail because of it. First, in their defense, you should be completely aware of what their business model is. They buy used cars from auctions, fix them just enough to pass emissions and be legal to drive, and then sell them. And for those of us buying from this type of dealer that is what we are looking for - a cheaper used car. You may get a car or truck that doesn't have many mechanical problems, or may get one that does. The question is does Choice One know about the extent of those problems or not. I paid to have a mobile tech come and inspect the truck I purchased. He detected that there were problems with the rear axle, but according to Choice One this was just tire noise. Shame on me - I took their word for it. Ended it up I needed to spend close to $2,000 extra dollars to get it fixed. Added to that problem the front brakes were completely shot and almost went out while my wife was driving the vehicle. If you buy here please please take the car to your own mechanic to have them check it out fully. Sure, if you are buying a car of a dealer like this there will be some glitches and problems but at least you will know the extent of them before making the purchase. Choice One had to have known about the rear axle problem and the brakes (they had to replace catalytic converters and the problems were obvious) but didn't at least make me aware of them. I would never buy here again, and if I ever bought at a similar type dealer would make sure I brought it to my own mechanic. I sincerely hope this helps anyone in the future read more

I began my search for a car on Craigslist. I found a 1996 Jeep Cherokee for just under $3000 at this car shop. My hopes weren't high on the quality of vehicle I would be getting at the price and age. I figured if I was going to get a vehicle from here I would have to put some work into it, I was there looking for the best car and what type of 'fixing up ' I was going to have to do. The original vehicle I came to check out was burning oil and leaking it really bad, also the 4 wheel drive on the car wasn't working well. I noticed a second car and took it for a test drive. It was also a Jeep Cherokee but a 91. The second car I checked didn't have oil problems but had universal joint problems and a tie-rod or steering column problems. This is where it gets fun being at this place. When I brought back the second car I was traded off from the owner's wife to the owner himself. He began criticizing us, my mother and I, for the techniques we use to see what was wrong with the car. This involved driving the car listening and wiping part with rags to see if there were fluids present that shouldn't be there or what the fluids looked like. He became reluctant of us looking at cars. Then I noticed a car that was looking good from our inspection. I left my stuff inside the car. This is key because of what happens next. I walk in and he is still criticizing my mother for checking thing. He was saying that the paper/his own mechanics said the truth of the quality of the car and not our inspection. I didn't pay much attention to him going on and asked to see a third vehicle. He asked if we were going to buy a car because or just waste his time. He made it clear that he didn't like our techniques for checking cars and question us about it again. I didn't say much but told him that I had money and the intent to buy and asked him if he wanted our business or not. These two lines set him off, he began yelling directly at my mother. He told us at a full volume that we should, and I quote "get the f**k out" and continued at full volume yelling at my mom. I went to get my stuff. I had no intention of being there or listening to him yell. They wouldn't let me at first go get my items. I had to explain to them, as they yelled at me very aggressively and very loud, that my stuff was in a car out back and I needed to get them first. I had to raise my voice to snap them out of the yelling tangent. This was the only time i raise my voice. I did get my stuff and left peacefully. On my drive home I got a call saying that they couldn't find the keys and they were calling the police because I stole them. I did explain that I didn't have them and gave them to his wife after I got done with the test drive. I wouldn't go here at all. read more

I bought a car from Choice One a year ago. About a week after purchasing the vehicle we noticed it leaked oil really bad. I thought it was a rear main seal and considering what I paid for the car another 7 or 8 hundred bucks to fix it didn't seem that bad. I took it to a mechanic and was told that the engine had so much wear that replacing the rear main seal wouldn't solve the leak problem. I don't think a mechanic would turn down work so I tend to believe what he said. The oil leak is so bad I am embarrassed to park it in public for the mess it leaves. I will be eating the cost of the car. As I was leaving the lot with the car I noticed a vehicle right in front of the door with it's splash guard hanging down, dragging the ground. The salesman working with me engaged a couple that asked about the car and was going to let them test drive it. I guess he didn't notice or care about the splash guard. I wouldn't recommend buying a car here folks. I certainly regret it. read more
