You can easily walk in, not wait awhile, and get a seat quickly. The restaurant interior was modern industrial with Scandinavian/minimalist influences(?), which I loved because it felt a cozy and welcoming. Any who, back to the service and food. I really enjoyed my entrée, I choose Corned Beef Hash & Eggs and the asiago bread, the dish was a bit heavy (not in a bad way), and I ended up requesting a diet coke but overall, the dish was very good, and the corned beef is not the type from a coney island restaurant, it was shredded and flavorful. The service was outstanding, and our waitress was beyond pleasant and attentive. Would I recommend this place to others? Yes. Would I come back again? Yes, there were other items on the menu I'd like to enjoy.

The pork chop itself was incredible, and the beets were a unique spin. My friend got the short rib and said it was amazing. We both really enjoyed the soup as well. Ambiance was lively, but we were disappointed it wasn't really decorated for the holidays - just really plain inside. Since the location is right on main street, parking is limited. All this said, I would return just for the food.

Even though this is in prime location there are so many better options in the area. I could see this place having potential for coming for drinks with all the tvs or on the rooftop in the summer but thats about it.

If you're anywhere near Chomp and even thinking about grabbing a sandwich, stop thinking and just go. Seriously. These folks know what they're doing. I walked in expecting a decent lunch and walked out wondering how quickly I could justify coming back for round two. The bread? Perfect--crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The fillings? Generous, fresh, and clearly put together with actual care. Every bite was stacked with flavor, nothing skimpy or soggy about it. Service was friendly and fast, even during the lunch rush, and the vibe is exactly what you want from a great sandwich spot: casual, upbeat, and full of people who look way too happy with what they're eating. Chomp is hands down one of our favorite spots in Rochester! The food is always amazing, and the service is just as great. The owner is incredibly sweet and goes above and beyond, especially when it comes to accommodating allergies. The burgers are top-notch, and we especially love the Santa Fe salad, fries, and sandwiches. Their gluten-free options are fantastic, making it so much easier to enjoy a great meal without worry. I've heard and read nothing but great things about Chomp, but it didn't live up to the expectations I had for it. The prices were a bit high, the quality a bit low and the service was average. My burger was over-cooked and my kids chicken pita was rubbery but the tastes were alright so they got 3 stars. I'm not sure I would come back unless everywhere else was busy because 2 orders bad is 2 strikes and I don't feel like going back for a third. read more

Terrific little joint with an exceptional menu. Their specials are the best. You can get anything from a salad to a burger, but trust me, it will be out of the ordinary! I've never had a worse Reuben sandwich from any restaurant in my life and I'm 68. It didn't even come with a pickle for the $12.50 I paid for it. I will never patronize this Deli again. A waste of my drive there and my money. I'd give it Zero stars if I could. I definitely do not recommend Troy Deli. P.S. My wife was not happy with her #4 "The Twist" either.
