Good location, right off International Blvd, parking? Hmm... Ok, got a spot up close. Monday night so I wasn't expecting allot but 4 starts said to me it was worth a try. Very nice interior, well kept, clean, Thai themed. Sat in both, waitress brought menus. Came back and we order two Thai Ice Teas. We ordered two dinner courses, A Chicken dish with Thai Basi for my wife level 1 spice, their lowest. and I had a curry beef dish with potatoes, rice for each was extra. I ordered mine Level 2, which was I was told was medium out of 5. Mine was flavorful and tasty. The meat was adequate and the portion with rice was bigger than it looked. Level 2, was my Level 1, my wife was just a little spicy that zero, maybe .75? If I returned, I would go Level 3 minimum maybe 3.5?. My wife's chicken was ground chicken and had very few veggies. Maybe that was the style for the dish, but my wife didn't like the texture, and the lack of veggies was not appetizing. We waited a good 25 minutes for food to arrive. No other customers in the place. We didn't get our Thai tea until dinner arrived. I would try again, but my wife says no way. Too bad, had high hopes. read more

Came here for lunch after landing in SeaTac with my friend. The customer service was great and the spot was clean and peaceful. I ordered the beef salad and it was good. Not amazing, but will above average. I got the spice level 3 for their 1-5 spice scale they have. Not a bad price either. It was a good first meal in Seattle for our trip. read more

We came in a bit hungry after a long wait at Avis counter, and ordered 1) grilled tilapia mango salad 2) pad Thai 3) crab fried rice 4) Kai NAM Everything is delicious and live up to our expectations. Location: Right by the Airport car rental place on Pacific Highway. They have their own reserved parking spots for restaurant customers only. Location seemed very clean inside when we arrived in the first hour of opening on a Saturday. Service was warm and friendly and they offered to refill our drinks several times and us 3 ladies trying to catch up with each other (one was from out of town) didn't feel hurried at all. Food was a hit and miss for us. I love papaya salads but this Papaya salad did not taste fresh. I feel bad saying it because the elderly ladies serving us were so nice. The papaya salad and veggies were harder instead of crispier. The sauce was also a big problem like it was a mix that wasn't made fresh or from a couple nights before. It had a more fishy taste than usual with a sour taste, almost tasting spoiled. All of us took one scoop on our plates and didn't go back for seconds. The calamari appetizer on the other hand is a must order! It was hot, fresh and the texture had the most perfect chew. The dipping sauce is a regular sweet chili sauce, but I feel they can improve and find a more creative pairing for it. Kee Mao Noodles was too sweet for me and oily and not enough veggies. This is another dish I usually get at Thai restaurants. The portion is also smaller than other places. I would not order again. Dungeness crab fried rice was delicious and one of the favorites. They put the crab on top of the rice and you can decide to mix it all together first. MSG - I believe they use MSG at this place because after 20'min or so my chest started hurting/tightening and my allergy symptoms started showing. I usually get this at some Chinese places when they put quite a bit of MSG. I believe it was in the crab fried rice. I could be wrong on where they placed it. But there was MSG somewhere due to my reaction. Conclusion: Great attentive and friendly service and easy location to meet up with friends near the airport. Hit or miss on food. Personally I wouldn't travel out of my way to dine here as I know better Thai restaurants that does my favorite Thai dishes better. read more

I was not greeted when I entered and had to hunt down my to go order. The spice levels are measured out of 10 which worried me because it's so unusual. I came again to the chontong Thai with other 2 people for dinner at 6 pm on Sat. No reservation but no problem. Parking is front of the restaurant. Inside the restaurant is a good atmosphere and clean environment. A lady always lovely and nice smiling. There were a few customers in the store and seats were available. First we ordered appetizers Platter. I wanted to eat a pan fried wide rice noodles but out of wide noodles. So I ordered Pad Thai w tofu and Red Curry w chicken. Oh my I have no idea how this place got rated so high by so many people when their food is not very good at all. The part came out is absolutely awful, the pad see ewe lacks flavor calamari was chewy proper although I did like the outside Fried part, the Singapore noodles are stuck together and bland. The swimming ran was not exciting and I didn't want to eat it. The pork was boring like little pieces of leather spicy fried chicken was was edible and quite tasty but insanely salty. The pate was one of the least favorite ones I've ever had. Besides, having really bad type food, did you have a good ambience and really really good service I would not eat here on purpose ever again but perhaps this is as good as Thai food gets in Seattle, where is spoiled in California with insanely good Thai food read more

We were looking for Thai close to the Seattle-Tacoma airport. Chontong was basically right next door. We were there around 1pm on Sunday, and we were the only people in the restaurant. That was surprising for a weekend lunch. Good for us because the service was fast. The bathroom was very big and clean. This was probably the best pad see ewe I have had! It was very flavorful and the texture was perfect. The prices were pretty average, around $13.99 a plate. Rice cost extra if you order curry. We also got the pad thai, which was ok. There were no peanuts, as would be expected. The ice water tasted off. It had a milk-y/sour flavor to it which made it undrinkable. We had just returned from long holiday vacation on Christmas Day at 8pm - like oh shit we have no food at home . After grabbing car we drove past and saw the open sign which we didn't believe at first but once we parked and went inside we were like SCORE . It's was busy ASF but understandable as it's holiday ! But the owner was sweet and patient even with all the chaos . We ordered food for our family of 4 and she let us know it would be about 30min. Even as I waited for my food people kept walking in to sit down and eat even though they closed at 9 and were swamped they didn't turn anyone away even as I left around 8:45pm doing there best to make sure everyone was served. Even gave us an extra Tom Kha food was still fresh and flavorful when we got home, kids were full and slept well. I came in here straight from the car rental place after flying into Seattle for the first time. I walked in, sat down and waited patiently, in about five minutes the older lady up front told me she didn't see me earlier that's why she didn't give me a menu. I felt as if she was trying to avoid me, I was coming from a long trip. I still haven't gotten a menu, after a few minutes four males sat down and she had given them food and menus as soon as seated, I still have yet not received a menu or a water. As a black woman, I felt extremely uncomfortable and left when I could since I wasn't recovering service, it's very sad to say this is my first resteraunt experience in Seattle but I will not be back. read more

People of color - please avoid coming here. We had an unfortunate experience having lunch at this place. About 4 to 5 tables that were occupied in the restraunt. The lady serving was impolite, didn't care to take our orders in time, no pleasantries, water wasn't served (and didn't until we asked for it). We saw our food ready on the kitchen window and it took her 15 minutes to get to us and it was barely warm when we finally got it. All this while the server lady was cleaning up, chatting with her co-worker and waiting other tables. All this seemed intentional and we were made to feel singled out. I stopped here for dinner while making an airport run and man am I glad I did. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. We got the fresh rolls, pot stickers and satay to start and they were all off-the-chart good, especially the pot stickers and satay. Our mains were the pad woon sen and lad nah which were absolutely fantastic, and even though we were full we had to get sticky rice and mango for dessert because we didn't want to stop eating. Simply fantastic all around: I will absolutely be back and definitely recommend this place. What a hidden gem! Me and my family came for one last meal before our flight and we left with bellies full and a warm soul. Our waitress seemed to be the owner because she played many roles, but she was so sweet to my nephew and the rest of us. She was very patient and kind. We ordered chicken panang curry, tofu yellow curry, tofu red curry, spring rolls, chicken satay, and pad kee mao. Evvvverything was so delicious! Very good, solid Thai restaurant right by SEATAC. We had their fresh rolls and I had the pad see ewe w/chicken and a Thai iced coffee. If I got the rolls again I'd ask them to not sit them up, it make them too hard to eat. But the warm peanut sauce was good. The Pad See Ewe was excellent! It had a depth of flavor and not dry at all (some places it can be). Wide noodles, onion, bell peppers and tomato with chicken, but I'll try it with pork next time. Note: the medium was a solid medium-hot! I liked how the heat didn't override the flavors. I'll be back! The only downside is the crappy parking availability, but that's not their fault. read more

I don't understand why I need to give even a star to a restaurant that serves a cockroach. When I mentioned there was a cockroach, the owner freaked out, not even saying "sorry" in the first place. 4.5 stars! This is our favorite Thai place down in the south seattle area. It's not far from the airport/rental car facility. My coworkers and I like to come here. The thai food is really good and the interior is also pretty nice. They have this appetizer called meang kham, which are kind of similar to lettuce cups, but with a totally different leafy green and different filling. The leaf is a kind of betel leaf, and the fillings include peanuts, shallot, chili peppers, ginger, dried tiny baby shimp, lime, and coconut flakes. You fill the leaf which as much and whatever fillings you want and then drizzle with the sweet sauce and then eat it. The variety of flavors with the combination of the leaf is delicious and refreshing. And the appetizer is beautiful in its presentation (very instragram worth). The only thing is that they don't really give enough betel leaf for how much filling they provide and the last time we ordered this, they charged us for extra leaves. The pad thai and the pad see ew here are DELICIOUS. They make it really well and it's always a dilemma for me as to which one I should get. The service is great - we love the grandma that works here, she's a very sweet lady! The parking lot is really small here and it's in the same mini plaza as the ethiopian restaurant next door, so parking can sometimes be a challenge. read more
