    Angkor platter #1
    Linh N.

I didn't know this was in Burien until my friend suggested coming here for lunch. I was sooo excited! I love Cambodian food. The restaurant was empty when we arrived but I hope that isn't the norm for them. It was a rather busy sport Saturday for the city. They have a very extensive menu but my friend and I decided to order the platter and nom banh chok to share. The only thing I wish is they had condiment on the table. We didn't asked but we both would have like the food to be spicier haha. The papaya salad on the platter was good but it was not spicy and not as funky as we'd both like. The nom banh chok was really good. Lighter broth. I was going to ask for more chili pepper but decided to just eat it as is. Food was good but they definitely should have a spice rack or something. I'll probably be back now that I know this is here. I want to try other dishes they have to offer.

It was getting late and my friends and I were looking for places to eat. Luckily this place was available! Walking inside and seeing plenty of people enjoying their food is always nice. I would say the place was decently decorated and made for a nice ambiance. I ended up ordering the Mee Katang and some popcorn chicken as an appetizer. The popcorn chicken was properly crunchy and had a good garlic like flavoring that made them hard to stop eating. The Mee Katang had an excellent flavor and all the ingredients meshed together well. The person who served us was efficient as well. I'd definitely come back to try out the many many other items on their menu.

Found ourselves in the area and stopped by. The food was good, maybe a little pricier than Seattle but good portions and would be back! I got the nom banh chok kampot with pork and shrimp. Great noodle dish with flavors that balanced each other. Service was kind - cook was a little slower but happy when the food came and was delicious. The place held a few other patrons while I was there.

What a good find! If you like good food and good portions then you will love this place. We ordered the meekatang, chicken wings, papaya salad, and beef soup. The chicken wings are huge and cooked to perfection. Moist and juicy and packed with flavor. When you order papaya salad at most places they give you more cabbage than the papaya salad. Not here! They give you your money's worth. We had enough leftover of each dish to eat it all again for dinner the next day. I will definitely be back to try out their other dishes.

We had a variety of dishes from the menu and each were full of flavor. Usually I have this much Cambodian food in one setting AT THE TEMPLE but it's nice to be able to just order it when you have your Khmer food cravings. The wait for the food was standard if not faster than usual. Service was excellent! One thing was the prohok was fish sauce style instead of the mud fish version. So that was different.

Food was delicious! We also got their catfish but it came out last and we forgot to get a picture. Ended up finishing everything. Also would love to come back and try their chicken. Owner was nice and restaurant was clean. Love the ambiance. Thai tea was good but on the creamy side.

    R1. House special fried rice
    Shyam R.

Inside this unassuming Cambodian restaurant is probably the best fried rice I have ever had. I got the R1. House special fried rice and a side of coke, though it looks like a normal fried rice it was packed with chicken, shrimp, and a bit of cilantro. The sauce is a bit salty and sweet but the cilantro really elevated the dish, it made it have a fresh after taste which pulled it together. If you're like me and you like spicy I added some siracha to it and it was the perfect blend. The service was great they were very attentive and present. There was a baby crying and they even put a children's show on the tv to help the parents try to calm them down The restaurant just opened and though they already have a lot of decor already to make the ambiance great you can tell they probably don't have their liquor license yet because the bar was barren. I can't wait until they get it so they can add the rest of the decor to really pull it together.

If you are looking for a "feel at home" style comfort foods this place is for you. I would highly recommend their stuffed lemongrass chicken wings, batter to perfection crispy wings, the beef sticks were pretty good (reminded me of how I would make mine ). Salor machu kreang hit home. The owners are from Lowell, Mass close to my home. The husband who served us was super friendly and warm. If you are in the area, pls give them a try. Coming from a picky eater like me

The food was so delicious! The worker was very sweet and gave us suggestions. The portion sizes were large! I would definitely recommend this place if you want a quiet space to eat.

First time eating Cambodian and it was absolutely delicious! I loved how the menu has photos associated with most of the dishes' names so you can picture what you're eating (especially great for those who aren't familiar with Cambodian culture). My group ordered a variety of things but to summarize, it was a nice blend of piping hot dishes with a nice crisp or grill to the meats, blended with fresh veggies and tangy sauces. The Pandan drink is an absolute must! Pandan flavored milk with cubes of Pandan jelly. Despite being distracted by the food at some point, I didn't feel like the flavor was muddled by the melted ice. My personal favorite dish was the Pleah Sach Ko, advertised as a popular Cambodian dish, it did not disappoint! Tangy taste without drowning the salad, so the salad was still crisp, and the meat was nicely charred. Needless to say, it'll probably my new regular stop for the year.

Traditional Cambodian hot pot, bean thread noodles, papaya salad, pandan Thai tea, and blueberry refresher
    Jennifer T.

Came here for a late night bite at 7:30 and the place was pretty empty with ample parking. We ordered the Cambodian traditional hot pot, bean thread noodles, and papaya salad. For drinks we got the pandan Thai tea and blueberry refresher. The traditional hot pot was a coconut based hot pot with pineapple. It was very flavorful but not too salty which I liked. There was a good mixture of veggies. The bean threads was good but I wish it had more pork on it. The pork was fried and I think I prefer a more tender meat. The papaya salad was good but I could use more of a spicy kick. The pandan tea was really good with jelly. I asked for it to be less sweet and it was perfect. The blueberry refresher was very tart if you like tart. We also ordered house fried rice to go which was the all star of robust shrimp flavor. I will say they will make it if you order it, so if you want your food to stay hot for to go orders, order it towards the end of your meal. Service was quick. This place is perfect for date night because it was dim lighting and quiet.

So absolutely fantastic. The flavors are savory and bright, and portions are generous. Really enjoyed every dish in our meal, and can't wait to come back. Service was helpful and ambiance is cute and tropical. Clean establishment.

To begin, you have the option to do either AYCE or order al la carte. However, the menu that's presented to you only shows the AYCE options. Next, there are honestly too many tiers of AYCE -- five to be exact, and some are only available certain days of the week. From tier to tier, it's unclear what items are included. Additionally, how the vegetable add-on works is not clear. Only after we ordered the vegetable add-on did we realize it's a single platter your table receives that you're able to bring over to the self-serve vegetable station next to the sauce bar. Overall for the price, the food and experience was underwhelming. The AYCE price only includes the price of meats. In order to have vegetables, you need to pay $10 more, there is a per person charge on the sauce bar (REQUIRED -- not optional), and there is a up charge on anything that's not the most basic broth options. The vegetable options are fairly limited as well. Of the items we tried out, my favorite was probably the lamb shoulder -- albeit it was a bit on the oily side. The "tender beef" we ordered had an unnatural pink color to it even after we had cooked it for a long time in the broth. We all ate it with uneasiness, but thankfully none of us felt sick afterwards. I can't say I've ever had beef that was so brightly colored pink before. We ended up ordering two broths for our table. The Chengdu spicy broth -- which costs an additional $10, was absurdly spicy, even though we opted for the lightest spicy option. One of my friends and I generally enjoy eating spicy food, but this one had us sweating. If you're sensitive to oil, you will definitely want to pass on the spicy broth as there is a ton of beef tallow. During our meal, our server stopped by twice to top-off our broth. However, our empty water pitcher was never refilled. In terms of ordering, you're limited to ordering six items at a time, with a ten minute cool down. I'm not sure if this is dependent on group size, but for our table of four, we had a 1.5 hour dining limit. We were only able to place orders three times, so if you're a hungry group, you'll want to manage your time carefully. Overall, I had a decent dining experience, but it was not the most economical. After an 18% tip and tax, our meal came out to be $234., or $58.5 per person. For this price, I probably would opt to eat non-AYCE options at Haidilao or Dolar Shop.

One thing I would note is the lack of noodles. Personally I like have noodles with my hotpot and Dolar Shop only had one type of noodle. Other than that, the Dolar Shop also had a dessert bar and appetizer bar. I enjoyed the dessert bar along with the ice cream you get at the end of your meal. Straight forward, again if you know what you're doing. Otherwise just ask questions and take your time. Choosing meats is simple. Pork and lamb are my favorite. Meats come sliced very thin and rolled up and placed on wooden rings that surround the hot pot. Good luck choosing the other items. Green vegetables, tofu, noodles, turnips and dried tofu rolls to name a few. I personally stay away from the coagulated pig blood. After you type in your order, go to the self serve bar. There are plates there if you don't already have them at your table. It's near the front with various salads and other snacky items, such as peanuts. Somethings to enjoy before the hot pot is ready. You also will concoct your own dipping sauce from the several choices of ingredients available. People usually combine four or five different kinds. You can always go back later and try different combinations. Also there are small cans of sesame oil that I like to add to my sauce. A server will bring the very hot pot of soup you asked for. Let it return to a boil. Using chopsticks pick up one or two rolls of meat and wave them around in the boiling soup for just a few seconds until the meat changes color to gray. Dip it in your sauce and eat. Repeat. Gradually the soup will take on flavor from all the meat you cook. Add some of this other things you ordered. I usually cook leafy greens and noodles later. Take your time. It seems like you are eating more than you actually are. Payment is at the end because you might choose to order more food to cook.
