Avengers Assemble! So I tried this place a bunch of years ago before the Blip... and then went back again last year. I feel like both times the experience was just consistently meh. It's kinda like watching Thor: The Dark World,, you sit through it but it doesn't really blow your mind. The food is just medocire. I feel like all the dishes tasted exactly the same - kinda like a bunch of Skrulls just pretending to be different curries. And we specifically asked for level 5 spicy because we wanted that Extremis level of heat (Iron Man reference). But what we got was maybe a level 2 or 3. It was weaker than Hawkeye running out of arrows. but yeah the service was actually good and the ambaince is great. It looks pretty inside, almost like a mini Asgard dining hall. The servers were on it like Jarvis anticipating orders. But the food just pulls the whole thing down. I'd give it 3.5 stars. A fellow colleague had suggested I try out Simply Thai for some really good Thai food. I know a lot of my fellow mates have dined in or taken out food to go but this was my first experience here. It wasn't a very busy week night so grabbing a table for just me wasn't that difficult. My tummy was definitely hungry and I ordered three items. Spring rolls for an appetizer, pineapple fried rice with chicken, and Thai basil with beef. Very casual setting, dim lighting, tables good enough for a group of four or so. Available restrooms. Very clean facilities. Free ample parking. Oh my this was way too much food for just one person. Everything met my expectations, food was served quickly fresh and delicious. Was hoping for dessert but nothing was on the menu to cleanse my palate. When I return to Thailand, I'll have mango sticky rice! read more

I stopped by this Thai restaurant during my quick layover in Seattle for the Championship game. The overall experience was okay. The building needs some restoration, and the food was just average. I ordered the larb, while my coworkers opted for noodle dishes. The flavors were a bit bland. The portion sizes and pricing were a bit overpriced, but that could be because I'm not familiar with the prices in Seattle. It was a quick stop, but it wasn't bad. That is same thing with other dishes like holy basil and prik king, they need more spice. The fried rice was good and also better with chili sauce. Had not tried this place in over a year because there are so many great Thai joints on the south end, but that was a mistake because Simply Thai is a cut above most. Not only is the food tremendous, the portions are more generous than the more popular place just down the street. We had the crab delights (wontons), Tom Ka soup, swimming Rama, and pad Thai shrimp. The soup and Rama was chock full of white meat chicken and the crab wontons are simply the best in the city. The pad Thai had plenty of really nice shrimp. We were stuffed and brought home enough for at least 2 more meals. We will not be waiting another year to visit again. read more

Decent Thai food - I got the pad see ew on my visit here and it was pretty standard. Great portion size. Service was friendly and they did come to check up on us a few times and refill our waters. Seating was spacious and comfortable, with lots of booths. The place was pretty busy with a lot of delivery/pick up orders. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but a good spot if you're craving Thai. read more

We had my slightly picky eater granddaughter with us who had never had Thai food before so the cooks were able to make something she would like that was like Ramen. No bottled water available The only reason I am writing this review is because a verbal suggestion would probably go nowhere. Tukwila has Thai food and in my opinion this is in the top 2. The food is solid. I love the shrimp and herb rolls, my personal favorite. My complaint: limited menu, I would like to have more noodle dishes that include egg noodles (I don't care for phad thai or wide noodles). It would be nice to have different whole trout fish varieties. Because we live in Tukwila, this is the closest spot but there are times I drive further for more menu options read more

My friend had a reservation for 5 at Simple Thai. A party was going on in half of the restaurant and it was very noisy. We had to speak loudly. We ordered Green Curry, Holy (Thai Basil), Garlic beef and Rard Nah, added 2 rice. The restaurant staff were busy but quickly service. All the food remained disappointing. When my friend asked staff to take the leftover food home. The woman brought a container and transferred the remaining food to the container along with the plate. It was awful to see it. My absolute favorite place for Thai food & amazing service. The gentlemen that run the front of house are also so on their game. Super friendly & once they even brought my toddler a plate of oranges! The only name I ever caught was Edgar but we typically see the same faces which I appreciate. The food is equally good as the service. I tend to be a creature of habit so I always get the phad kee mao noodles, papaya salad, & crab delight. I'm always blown away by not only how good it all is but consistently good. I have never left this establishment not having enjoyed our meals & our interactions. I swear their papaya salad is THE BEST papaya salad I've ever had. The menu is just as the business name suggested, very simple. Nothing fancy, just basically simple Thai dishes. Prices are reasonable. To judge a Thai restaurant I will always try their Tom Yum. At this place, simple enough, option of choice is only chicken, tofu or prawn. I selected prawn and spicy level medium. My other half ordered basil tofu. There is only jasmine rice availabe, no sticky rice, just that simple. Food was ready in a timely manner, portions of dishes are adequate, the sour spicy level of my Tom Yum was just as I expected, very satisfying. The basil tofu dish tasted delicious with nice stir fry aroma. It is a simple, homey place. Do not expect to have the regular Thai dishes that you get in other restaurants. I wouldn't make a special trip to this restaurant, but if I'm in the vicinity I would eat there again. read more

Stopped by for a quick dinner before dropping some family off at the airport. We were able to get seated quickly for our party and a high chair brought out promptly as well. Food was delicious! I got the beef salad (I forget which, there's two on the menu, I think it was number 11 - which our server suggested of the two) and asked for 4 stars (higher than my typical based on other reviews I read, I'm a 3 star usually). It was definitely not as spicy as I was expecting, but our server brought over more spice and I was able to get it to my desired spice level. Portions for all our food was generous - others in our party had pad thai, pad see ew, etc. I did get a bite of the other dishes and they were fine, but I certainly enjoyed my grilled beef salad more! read more
