Holy (Thai Basil) With Beef, Jasmine Rice & Pineapple Fried Rice With Chicken

A fellow colleague had suggested I try out Simply Thai for some really good Thai food. I know a lot of my fellow mates have dined in or taken out food to go but this was my first experience here. It wasn't a very busy week night so grabbing a table for just me wasn't that difficult. My tummy was definitely hungry and I ordered three items. Spring rolls for an appetizer, pineapple fried rice with chicken, and Thai basil with beef. Very casual setting, dim lighting, tables good enough for a group of four or so. Available restrooms. Very clean facilities. Free ample parking. Oh my this was way too much food for just one person. Everything met my expectations, food was served quickly fresh and delicious. Was hoping for dessert but nothing was on the menu to cleanse my palate. When I return to Thailand, I'll have mango sticky rice!

The food here is delicious! I got a pad se ew and a 3/5 spice was perfect. My friend really liked her green curry and fried rice as well. We got both Thai ice tea and those tasted great. Service was amazing and I like the ambiance of the restaurant.

I stopped by this Thai restaurant during my quick layover in Seattle for the Championship game. The overall experience was okay. The building needs some restoration, and the food was just average. I ordered the larb, while my coworkers opted for noodle dishes. The flavors were a bit bland. The portion sizes and pricing were a bit overpriced, but that could be because I'm not familiar with the prices in Seattle. It was a quick stop, but it wasn't bad. However, it's surrounded by the mall, which has many better restaurant choices. Our server was very nice and talked with us about the football game.

    Over priced mediocrity

Mediocre Thai food. Way over priced for what it is. If you get it to go they don't tell you rice is an extra 4 bucks after spending $25 for a curry entree. Cheep bastards, never going back.

This place satisfies my Thai food craving. Ordered Tom Yum soup, pad thai x2 (chicken and tofu). Varying spice levels to our liking. Not pictured are the fresh rolls and the peanut sauce for a shareable appetizer which was perfect for 2-3 people. Clean, quick, and friendly service. The prices are a bit high but the portion sizes are a redeeming quality. We all took home leftovers.

I love all the dishes. Starting off with appetizers, the sour sauce for the Som Tum tasted refreshing and the shrimp rolls were crispy. Phad Se-ew was silky soft and savory. I enjoyed the excellent service - staff was patient and friendly with me. I shared 4 plates with a friend and we were very full afterwards!

Stopped by for dinner, no wait on a weekday! The restaurant is spacious & clean! Didn't get many pics of all the items we ordered for family dinner, but the portions here are large and totally shareable! Everything came out great, we had no issues with allergies or anything wrong! They are accommodating to larger groups (we had 9) and are very kind & patient when the kids order!! Great, simple Thai food!!

The server was welcoming and friendly, he was also funny. We ordered many things to share. Tom ka chicken or coconut soup was good but we asked for spicy and it was not. It was not even mild. That is same thing with other dishes like holy basil and prik king, they need more spice. The fried rice was good and also better with chili sauce. Spring rolls were hot and crispy, the sweet chili was good but not spicy and mostly sweet. The ingredients seem fresh. I added a lot of chili sauce to make the dishes better. There are many table inside. There were many parking spots.

Food is really good and you can make is spicy. 1 thru 15. I tried my sons fried rice and he likes a 10. Wow! So spicy. I got curry and and 2 and I thought mine was spicy. The atmosphere is good here and tje people are great

    Pad see ew
    Stephanie L.

Decent Thai food - I got the pad see ew on my visit here and it was pretty standard. Great portion size. Service was friendly and they did come to check up on us a few times and refill our waters. Seating was spacious and comfortable, with lots of booths. The place was pretty busy with a lot of delivery/pick up orders. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but a good spot if you're craving Thai.

Outstanding service and perfect Pan Ang Beef. Cold Tsing Ha and some dangerous side sauces. Just crazy good food! I'm coming back! One small complaint: no need to fear the five star.

I visited on Valentine's Day, and the vibe was lovely--they had vases with red roses on every table, which was a very sweet touch. Tips for your visit: Parking & Wait Times: The Southcenter area gets very crowded on weekends. I highly recommend coming for an early lunch or dinner. If you arrive before 6:00 PM, you can usually be seated right away without the long wait. Service: The staff is incredibly friendly, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant is welcoming and pleasant. What we ordered: Green Curry (with Tofu): We added a side of rice, and it was perfectly creamy. Special Ba Mee (with Chicken): Great texture and flavor. Phad Kee Mao (with Beef): Savory and satisfying. Spice Level: We chose a 3 out of 5, and it definitely has a nice kick! It's "properly spicy," so be prepared if you aren't a fan of heat. The portions were generous, and the taste was spot on. Highly recommended for anyone in the Tukwila area!

This was during a Saturday evening close to 6pm and I got in to a fine-dining and casual mashup of an interior, where lights hang above the booths. Service here was on point, and food came out within 10 or so minutes of ordering despite the place filling up fast sometime after placing our order. Overall, food quality was just okay. Breaking each one down: - Tom yum: the soup was far more sweet than it was salty or even sour. The balance among all three of these was uneven, and the condiments inside didn't help. - Papaya salad: overall dish didn't taste too fresh and was oddly sour. There wasn't any sort of flavor kick in it and just tasted like regular salad at times. - Thai basil fried rice: the dish oddly didn't come in as hot as the other two. Flavor profile was bland, and rice was dry and a little hard. From previous visits I would recommend their pad see ew, since I don't remember any other dishes I've gotten from here besides that. One of my friends also recommended their duck curry, so I'll give that a try on my next visit here when I can.

They have been doing take-outs only since as long as i can remember (as far as 2023). However, their seasoning is very unpredictable. One time I ordered Mild for Pad Kee Mao, and it tasted super hot. One time I ordered hot, it tasted like mild/not spicy. Sometimes they tasted how they should be. Crispy garlic chicken with the sauce savory/sweet which is very appetizing. It's worth noting that they are currently takeout only, whereas they used to offer dine-in services. I ordered the Pad Thai Noodles and the Crispy Garlic Chicken Entrée. Here's the breakdown: Crispy Garlic Chicken: The portion was generous, and it came with a side of white rice--which was definitely necessary because the flavor was incredibly bold and salty. Unfortunately, the chicken was quite tough/hard to chew. Because of the intense saltiness and the texture, I could only manage two pieces before calling it quits. Pad Thai: This was a standard, decent Pad Thai. Nothing particularly stood out, but it wasn't bad either. * Large portions that can easily be shared. * Rice included with the entrée. * Chicken texture was too tough. * Flavor profile for the garlic chicken was overly aggressive/salty. If you're looking for a lot of food, this is a good spot, but the execution on the chicken was a bit disappointing this time.
