Would love to be able to write a better review ... but, I came in 30 minutes from closing and they were mopping the floor and said, 'Sorry, no more customers for today.' I study customer service and this is one of the most egregious customer service errors most restaurants make in order to maintain steady customers. When your hours say that you are open say, 9-5 ... if you open 10 minutes late or close 10 minutes early, customers cannot rely on your business so they do not put it into their regular rotation. While many restaurant managers think if their hours are say, 9-5 and someone walks through the door at 4:55 p.m. ... it is common sense that they close in 5 minutes, so someone should not be served. In the service industry ... that does not fly. When a customer leaves their house/meeting/workplace and makes a point to drive to a location and gets there and is told that they are 'too late' ... even if there is 5 minutes until close (or in this case 30 minutes) it is just not a good practice not to stay open. It tells a customer that their business is not important, which does not create a loyal base. I do love Kabob and there are not many options in the area ... so I will likely come back. However, I will make sure to do it in the middle hours of business to avoid disappointment. read more

What a gem! While I haven't been to Iran, I have traveled extensively. I'm also from San Francisco where I was poor because I ate at all the wonderful restaurants all the time. This place is among the top! Chicken is consistently moist. Good cuts. Fresh veggies. Herb stew is outrageously well spiced. Rice is always nice. Hummus is made with nice oils. This was some great takeout! While the atmosphere in the restaurant isn't much to write home about, the takeout was good and well portioned. We tried the lamb, beef, and chicken kabobs and all were excellent. I like that each meal comes with rice and veggies (green pepper, onion, and tomato); it feels like you're eating a more well balanced meal than a typical takeout option. Overall, the lamb kabob was my favorite for two reasons, first, it wasn't ground which made the texture of the lamb really stand out and second, it was incredibly flavorful. May be out might have been good when hit from the grill but still the rice might not go well with the chicken. The chicken was ok and not mind blowing. This is the typical hole on the wall kind of a place; however, however they serve very traditional Persian (Iranian) kabobs with saffron rice, cooked tomatoes and different types: chicken, lamb, and beef. Their food is spectacular, very flavorful and super fresh! If you are looking for traditional Persian kabobs, look no further. Not an easy task to find good Persian places in Boston. I have been to this place several times. The food is fantastic and the staff are super kind and super friendly. It is family owned and operated and you definitely feel that as soon as you walk in. This place is the only Persian place close to me around 495 and I love that I don't have to drive far to get the taste of Persian food whenever I crave it. I don't know why there are any negative comments for this place at all. It seems to me that people are just ignorant and don't know what to expect from Persian cuisine. I find the comment about lamb kabob that another reviewer left just ridiculous. It seems like they expected to get Greek food and not Persian! BIG difference! The place is a little bit hard to find, but it's in the shopping plaza, on the end near Chik-Fil-A. Walking in, it looks like what it is, which is a converted warehouse. The ceilings are high, the walls bare, and it just looks... rushed? Or hastily set up. Or transient. Dunno, it just felt halfway-there, so as to speak. When you come in, you order at the counter, and they'll bring it out to you. I also saw quite a few people come in, pick up, and leave. The food was quite tasty, albeit expensive. The only other knock was that the place was very, very drafty. While there, during midday, I had my coat on just to keep warm while in a restaurant. I felt I shouldn't, but your mileage may vary. All in all, I'm not sure if it's worth four stars, but it felt like more than three. I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't look like much from the outside, and, frankly, it's nothing special on the inside, either. But the food is quite good and prices reasonable. This restaurant is a nice change from the other cookie-cutter places in Westborough where the menus look pretty much like every other place. While I would not take my family out for a "nice dinner" here, this is definitely a good choice as a place to pick up dinner on the way home or get takeout. Unfortunately its in the back of a plaza that I don't go to but I was doing business I was met with enthusiasm by who I assume to be the son of the owners. The owner came out and shook my hand then offered me some 'crispy rice,' a bi-product of their normal rice from the bottom of the pan that only comes out so often! The baklava was rich. You can tell this place is new the staff is very unfamiliar with the menu. The food is nothing special at all. I got a chicken wrap that was very small and an order of garlic rosemary fries. The fries hot and they just sprinkled them with barely any rosemary. No garlic at all. The sandwich had very basic flavors, chicken lettuce and tomato..maybe some tazeiki (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) sauce...maybe. They were out of napkins so I asked the staff for some. The cook gave me a package of napkins and asked me to refill the dispenser for him. Food fit for nobility . . . a hidden gem in MetroWest/Worcester. Not to be confused with the many Indian restaurants in the area, this is delectable, many subtle spices which don't burn your throat. We loved the beef kabob and fesanjun, and their salad and rosemary fries were krazy good. I honestly don't know where to start. First, this restaurant is absolutely amazing. Every time I go in the customer service is always on point with everything and especially the food! I've tried everything on the menu and each dish and sides have their own unique flavors to them. Thinking about the eggplant mix gets me drooling. The staff are down to earth and really care about each individual customers experience while at the restaurant. I highly recommend stopping by and giving them a try.
